- Yasmeen Ghauri, a Pakistani-German star from Quebec who was one of the most visible stars of the early ’90s. Ghauri’s instantly recognizable good looks and Amazonian physique made her a sensation, but her beauty did more than land her a place in ads for Chanel or within the pages of Vogue. Arriving at the end of the ’80s and at the height of fashion’s idealization of blonde-haired, blue-eyed Nordic appeal, Ghauri helped to usher in a more diverse ideal.

She leaves stunning images of fashion and beauty instead of a trashy, surgerized travesty of her former self.

That face and body were all natural. And that grace and charisma were God-given. One of the very very best. Perfection in my opinion.
The swivel of the hips, the swing of the arms, the slight flex of the wrists, the flirtatious glances…Yasmeen’s runway style was sheer perfection.
Great footage, look at how fluid and graceful her turn is at 1.45! It's almost balletic. Such a rare beauty like a goddess from ancient Egypt that came to life in our times. So much presence on the runway.

She looks like the drawings of goddesses from ancient Egypt. Wide shoulders, V shape upper body, similar profile of face. Huge almond shaped eyes and dark hair. Her father is of Pakistani heritage but he lived and grew up in India.

I was 16 when Yasmeen Ghauri started appearing on the runways, and even though Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen, Christy Turlington et al always seemed to steal the limelight, Yasmeen always stood out to me as the most beautiful model of them all. To me she is the epitome of beauty!

She was so pretty and had the best walk. I don’t know why she didn’t get the attention others had because she was right up there with them. She was considered a supermodel, but getting still she’s not in the top 10 and I don’t understand.
Because she treated modelling as a job, and not as a lifestyle. Thats why she was also rarely on screen, or in the spotlight intentionally.
