Honestly, this is one of the best conversions from a Kirk to H2 mask that I've seen by a lot! Fantastic job! Especially after stuffing the mask to Dick Warlock's face shape. Looks great, man.

Right?! This is a great tutorial video. When he first started brushing the paint on instead of air-brushing, I was like, "Oh no!"...Then he showed me up with his brushing and dabbing technique! The final mask looks pretty great! I learned some ish today...

I watched this as a young teen that was broke and couldn’t afford a tots mask at the time but I studied your video for years and I just now was finally able to grab a trick or treat studios h2 mask and I repainted it myself using some of your techniques as well as my own and I think it came out amazing ! True work of art! I happen to be an artist myself. Looks better than any other Michael Myers mask made by them companies that make them. Probably going to do the same conversation with the next big paycheck I get. You should do a h2 costume demo with that mask on

Almost finished a 1978 tots with most of this minus the plastidip hair still covered that’s all I need with a few greys or blacks then I’ll maybe post a video
for a light sealer I put in modge podge and it worked fine so far after a day of letting it dry still flexible I wouldn’t recommend going crazy using it cause it more then likely will if it hardens way too much and too many layers are applied but that plastidip spray I couldn’t find anywhere to save my life went for about 4-5 stores and couldnt get one unfortunately without ordering so I took it into my own hands and used
what I normally use I will say it’s not as clean due to the latex or could’ve been my brushes but
I honestly didn’t use that and my masks would stay perfect but does give off a 1978 vibe to say if someone owned it since that time I wanted to thank you for the video man made me get up and start this thing lol I’ll be sure to post and show you if you’d like when it’s done!
A&K Productions you’re welcome. We all gotta start somewhere, most important thing is to always hone your skills and get that artistic sense out from our mind. Show it share it. We’re all inexperienced, this is the third mask I’ve done. My first is H40, second is H20 and now this so, I haven’t done hundreds of masks at all

this mask is the only mask that I've seen that perfectly replicates the movie mask, literally only this mask. None others are this perfect of a recreation.
This mask is an absolute work of art for a tots kirk mask absolutely nailed the accuracy with your paint and sponge method but if I may ask do I remove the hairline before i start painting or after and also how do I get the knitting needle stab ?
It’s really up to you, you can either follow me or do it your own way. Needle puncturing you just stab it

Man you did a really really great job. I’m impressed. And I’m a huge fan of the original mask. I bought myself the kirk mask and am doing a conversion soon. I will be referring to your video during. Thanks a lot for doing this! Very in depth. Nick Mulpagano does amazing work and this is on par with his. Only thing is that he doesn’t go into as much detail.
Jayge Against The Machine Nick did H1 style on his Tramer mask so it’s fair that H1 mask doesn’t have much detail, unlike H2 mask

Awesome video and result! Going to try to redo a Myers mask the right way soon, I've just used acrylic paint in the past because I didn't really care but I'd like to try to get a good result that will hold up. Unfortunately the TOTS Kirk masks are no longer made/hard to find so I'll be doing the 78 and/or the H2 mask. The H2 look is my favorite so this will help a lot, just need to pick up some liquid latex and plasti dip matte. I have Krylon matte but I don't think it's rubbery enough
A couple weeks ago I did the conversion on a Shatner mask to an H1 mask. It turned out really well and I'm actually thinking about buying another Shatner mask to convert it into an H2 mask.

man you make it look so easy! i tried following along but my paint job just looked like a huge mess. 😂 for some reason when i tried the alcohol and cotton bud it wouldn’t remove anything, i even tried a stronger paint thinner too.

Thanks. It just really depends on how you work with it. It can turn shits or good, it becomes the measure of your skill. I’m a firm believer in making it screen accurate and mix it with your own style. The style will become your own signature

CM Jon paint brands doesn’t matter you can pretty much get any acrylic paint brand. What matter is the liquid latex you used. I used mehron latex
end result came out unbelievable, you made it look so easy
trust me it's not as easy haha. Most of my work put into gathering references and research on how to paint latex. Most of all, confidence. Thank you man

Bro cheeses crust that looks amazing. U used basic tools and made it look ten times better than people with expensive tools. Wish you kept everything in the video like what u used for sealing all the paint you did and how much paint and water should I use to weather it. But other than that awesome video!

homer simpson TOTS H2 mask is actually legit, it came from NightOwl Lunatic mold. While TOTS H2 is not accurate, it captures several scenes especially the blood tears scene. You just have to wear it with paddings and tighten neck

TOTS Kirk is made from NightOwl Shat mold and NightOwl Shat is a Kirk version of NightOwl Creep so they're technically the same mold

Great mask, especially at the end, but what did you do to stretch out the eyeholes? When you finished the job it just looked like a weathered H1 mask, but it looks like an H2 at the end.
Malps plastic bag or foam or cotton swab on the sides of the mask, that adds volume and stretches the mask

@@SenoEricKrueger also, how do you not screw up the eyeholes lol. i wanted to do a conversion like this but i dont wanna mess up something like the eyeholes because its basically the point of no return, unlike paint.
of course, i also wear it with cotton swab on the sides of the mask to get H2 stretch. There's no secret on eyeholes. I already showed you the template and all you need to do is cutting it with small scissors in one motion to avoid jagged edge

Looks amazing! gonna try and rehaul a tots Boogeyman with your technique. One question though. I've never used plasti dip to seal a mask. Is there a specific amount you spray or a certain technique you use in between layers so it doesn't build up too much?

How did you get the latex/paint mix to be so smooth? If I try a 50/50 mix of latex and paint with a little bit of water, it gets streaky with a brush, and rough looking with a sponge (lots of small craters)

Always mix acrylic paint with liquid latex and water, never just straight using acrylic paint
How come no one has converted the Kirk mask into an H4. People seem to forget that it also originated as a kirk mask. They just painted it so white it removed all details. You can really see H4 at 5:32.
There are people who has converted it into H4. There are videos on youtube, i've seen some. The only H4 mask that close to a Kirk is the pink mask that converted into Myers mask for Kelly Meeker death scene, that's it. Any other mask you see in H4 are recasted horribly from a Kirk that resulted into a mask that bloated and weird looking
