ASMR Whisper: The Elder Scrolls Anthology

- For today's video we're looking at The Elder Scrolls Anthology, a boxed collection of all the core Elder Scrolls games to date along with a few extras like maps. As we look at the contents, I talk a bit about the history of the Elder Scrolls series. Triggers include whispering, tapping, and shuffling. Enjoy!
The full-length Elder Scrolls maps show & tell video is now up! Watch it here: • Soft-Spoken ASMR: Elde...
---- What's ASMR, and why am I whispering? ----
I whisper in my videos because they're intended to trigger a sensation known as ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response). ASMR is a very specific feeling that some people experience when they hear certain soft sounds, like whispering and tapping, or see certain visuals, like deliberate hand motions. It's often described as a pleasant tingling in the head and neck, accompanied by a sense of calmness and mild euphoria. Many people watch ASMR videos to help them relax or fall asleep. To learn more about ASMR, I recommend checking out asmruniversity.com/about-2/abo.... Happy tingles!

I remember in oblivion a large part of the story you were gathering forces to fight in a huge battle, and when the battle came it ended up being like 14 people. good times
I'd love an oblivion remake with modern resources
@@timewellspent8137do yourself a favor and look up the trailer for skyblivion if you haven’t already
Gods be praised! Another brilliant Elder Scrolls videos. Divines bless your kind heart!
You've just made my day with that comment.

Ryan Armstrong I use to be an asmrtist, then I took an arrow in the new.

There once was a hero named Ragnar the red who came riding to whiterun from ol rorikstead!!

Tyler Joseph while i read this i sang it in my head and then suddenly realised “hey thats the actual song” (i was almost asleep)
@The Joker and told of bold battles and gold he had made.
At 26:56 in the book at the bottom it says "Find him, and shut the jaws of Oblivion.'' when it should be and we all know it should be ''Find him, and close shut the jaws of Oblivion."' WHERE IS THE CLOSE

2007 called, they want their insult back. All these flavors and you choose to be salty.
The RogueMedic You're quite funny. The 80s called, they want their insult to an insult back. I like how I'm the salty one. I think your sour, your shit is old.
Ohhh I love Elder Scrolls. Morrowind was one of the first games I played, Oblivion is by and large my favourite. And I love Jeremy Soule's scores too. Beautiful.
Jeremy Soule is amazing. He's on of the main reasons I got into TES as I was a huge fan of his and then I stumbled upon Morrowind.
Oblivion is the best ES game in my opinion. Skyrim was good, but Oblivion will always be my favorite.
+Dean Mullen Yeah also agree most thought skyrim was the best game yet but I like the story line more for oblivion when you're done for the story in skyrim its gets boring :P
+AuroraWhispers ah oblivion... so many good memories. much preferred it to skyrim personally
+Ani Evans (AniPlaysMC) In my opinion its Oblivion that gets boring after you finish the main story. though don't get me wrong I love Oblivion to bits.
If you did this for Mass Effect, I might just cry tears of joy.
may Talos guide you
as much as I enjoyed oblivion and skyrim, it will never compare to my experience with Morrowind. The world in Morrowind was so different and amazing.. And they don't hold your hand as they do in the later games, which only added to the realism of being thrown into a world you knew nothing of.
I completely agree! While I enjoy all the TES games, Morrowind is the most memorable for me. Part of that could be due to the age when I played it though. The nostalgia is strong with that one.
Though I love morrowind, you can't deny it's glaring problems that most people cover up with nostalgia
Jacoby Johnson Is it really that good? I think I might play it, then.
Lycidas All i'm gunna say is if you started with Skyrim and you're going back to play Morrowind, you best have patience because #1 no matter how powerful your system is, if you download mods/enbs/reshades etc to top up the visuals and it will cut your fps in half, #2 Morrowind does not hold your hand AT ALL like literally you are just dumped into the world nothing like Skyrim. Personally I started with Skyrim then Oblivion and tried so hard and I mean so hard to go back and play Morrowind but I just can't. I really regret not starting with Morrowind. If anyone is reading this right now for some reason and they're wondering where to start with the TES series, seriously start with Morrowind.
It just sucks that on PC it us much more boring to me than on console. Although, I was using mods and one of them made every NPC impossible to talk to.
By Azura! By Azura! By Azura! I was planning on getting this...
It's Heaxs You dunmer better watch your back out here... Talos isn't gonna like that!
I have a map of Vvardenfel on my wall. I bought Morrowind again just for the map since my original one was totally worn out. I also still have my Morrowind "bible." The official game guide for it. There has never been a game that gave me quite the same feeling as my first playing of Morrowind.
Your new camera is awesome! Adds a whole new level of quality to your videos! Not a huge fan of 60fps though, but I still love your stuff! :)
This box set is really nice! I prefer JRPGs, but I definitely wanted to try Skyrim a while ago (also thanks to your Wanders!). Unfortunately it's not my thing, but it's a fantastic game in general and I can definitely see why The Elder Scrolls games have such a huge fanbase!
Perfect video as always! Enjoy your trip to Italy! :D

i hate relying on your asmr videos to get to sleep because i really love the content and want to see everything that happens in the videos BUT I JUST keep falling asleep to your incredible whispers! (stop being so good at what you do)
Hail Sithis...
Pssst hey you I know who you are... Hail Sithis.
Ahh my brothers, hail Sithis
Your magic and elder scrolls videos are my absolute favorites!! Thank you for such a relaxing yet entertaining experience!
When he started talking about the symbol, I was SO GLAD he knew it's the empire's symbol. And not "The skyrim logo" as Peasants call it. SO GLAD
Have fun in Italy! When you get back, you should show us a slideshow of all the pictures you took with whispered descriptions :D
I don't know why but 60fps kinda made me feel sick to start with, but after the first 5 mins it was better.
Oh elder scrolls, I really hope it doesn't stay online. I've been playing them since Morrowind and beat all since.
Have fun at Italy! Would love to see some videos (even if they are not asmr) from the boot country!
Yea. TES 6 is due any time now.
60fps makes me really dizzy and makes me sway around on my chair trying to stay balanced
I'd say since Fallout 4 is coming out this year, TES6 will be released in 2017 or 2018.
+Weirdly Charming and Odd Username you actually get used to 60fps real fast. Now 30fps videos look choppy and inhuman
@@localman5738 and yet 3 years later and no ES6 in sight. Plus it's so sad what happened to you in the last episode I'll always remember.
LOVE your intro! It's so simple yet amazing!
I love all the elder scrolls but Morrowind was such an amazing game. Morrowind has this mysterious and almost magical atmosphere that the other games just dont have. Dont get me wrong i love skyrim and oblivion (especially shivering isles) but it feels like something is missing, like their hitting a flat note somewhere. And not to mention the island of Vvardenfell is designed soo well. Think about the beautiful sheogorad islands and vivec city, then the musky swampy bitter coast, and then the dry dusty ashlands. Morrowind was a truly amazing game that will always have a special place in my heart..... Id like to think if the world of Tamriel was real, that i would probably live on Vvardenfell somewhere :,)
Aus10 If Morrowind Was So Great Then Why Is There No Morrowind 2?
@@helpmeme1650 *facepalm
I totally agree. It was the mystery of seeing impossible things like a city made from a crab shell or the stilt striders or the raining stones. The other games try to be too real with mostly humans with Knights and armor - just medieval basically. Less amazing sights.
I agree with you. I'm currently playing through it right now and it's such a great experience. Especially during quarantine.
@@SkoomaAddict75 so also skooma addicts can be reasonable
I love all your Skyrim stuff! I use it to help me to sleep. Your voice and natural conversation is very soothing. I’d really like a deeper dive into the maps. Maybe an hour on each one, definitely an hour long Skyrim would be nice! Keep up the great work! I’ll keep watching. 👍👍👍
Skyrim was the first RPG that I had ever played! It still remains to this day, my favourite! I have since loved many others however such as Kingdoms of Amalur, Hunted the Demon's Forge, The Witcher etc. 😃😎
It's an amazing RPG, and absolutely one of my all-time favourites, but those others you mentioned are also incredible :). There are so many excellent RPGs out there :)
theASMRnerd Indeed. 😊👍🛡⚔🗡
Literally so glad I found your videos. Video games mixed with ASMR is perfect :D
I can't wait to see just how far the Elder Scrolls series will go. I feel like it's a story that could last over a hundred years without getting old.
There’s literally whole other continents besides tamriel in the planet of Nirn, much like how in game of thrones there is Westeros and essos, the Elder Scrolls world of Nirn has the known continent of Tamriel and the wild uncivilized continent of beasts, Akavir
I started at Oblivion a year before Skyrim's release and then after Skyrim I played Morrowind. Gotta say Morrowind is the best and this cant be nostalgia speaking
Joe Costello -- clearly it is you brain that fucked your mind. Discontinue the drug use, buddy!
+Valtteri R. I agree - I've played all 3 of them, but started with Morrowind, so mine could be nostalgia. I probably put about 150 hours into Morrowind with multiple characters, currently at 75 with Skyrim, and might start a new character, and probably 10 into Oblivion. I played Skryim before Oblivion, and Oblivion just feels like hot garbage next to it. Too easy, and the setting is too bland. Morrowind's was very alien, and Skyrim's is very rugged. And Morrowind's story is easily my favorite. It's huge!
Yeah, I enjoyed Morrowind a lot but I think the combat is better in Oblivion and Skyrim, but it is far from perfect
Cmonkey1980 270 hours in Skyrim, 20 in Oblivion but only because of a game breaking bug, want to play Morrowind at some point as well.
It is interesting how, with hearing sounds, we can understand and visualized a material.
CaptainCassos Some people can't do that.
Many memories coming back looking at those Morrowind disks. I started there too. Great vid again, thanks Nick :)
Don't realised how much this calms your nerves it's fucking amazing, it's like listening to federic chopin's music
I always watch this video and i always think to myself “damn this is the longest vacation he’s taking” LMAO
Once again, another amazing video, so so happy that you make ASMR videos on TES, love the series. And love the 60fps, fantastic change from different videos on most other channels.
This is the first ASMR video I ever watched. Ever since then, I've been addicted
Glad I could introduce you to the wonderful world of ASMR, man! Thanks for sticking around here.
Hope you're enjoying your trip to Italy! Definitely looking forward to that maps video someday!
I agree that the music in the elder scrolls is absolutely beautiful! Jeremy Soule ( ive probably misspelled his name, and I apologise for that) is quite gifted.
He's incredibly talented, my favourite video game composer. You can tell he writes from the heart. You can't help but feel deeply when you hear his music, and be reminded of times you've spend in the worlds he's scored.
theASMRnerd absolutely. i'm very impressed by his ability to compose such beautiful pieces. very inspiring, indeed.
some of the music actually evokes rather bittersweet memories, which, once you've hit 50 years old, is kind of a welcome thing!
Loved this one. The set is really well put together. Morrowind will always be my favorite game of all time!
This video was so great man! I subbed just for this vid, and saw a lot of great videos before and after this :)
thrashfan911 Glad you enjoyed it so much man! And thanks for the sub :)
This is absolutely mesmerizing !! Well done sir!!
Did he make a video going over the maps in more detail? Definitely the best part of the video
StraightRed Haven't yet, thanks for reminding me!
as soon as i got a notification of your upload i was like yeeesss! plus i just got off work, thabk you kind sir for your amazing videos :D
Loving the upload speed! Witcher and now Elder Scrolls. Awesome
ganziguy123 nice vinesauce pic
This book is amazing. I am loving this, along with the 60fps.
So cool...I LOVE the Elder Scrolls game, ever since Daggerfall!
“One step closer to the elder scrolls 6” Oh I wish
😩😩😩
This was epic, combined two of my favourite things...
it is a tingly whisper voice really good thank you.
great video, i love the elder scrolls series and asmr. so it's like two of my favorite things combined =) have a great time in Italy, its a beautiful country.
Love the 60 fps, much smoother. Great video!
I didn't even get to keep my eyes open, your whispering gave me immense tingles. New subscriber here. 😍

I should like this comment just because of your profile picture.
I got the anthology set a while back, was really excited to play arena but then couldn't figure out where to go, so I put it back in the box and never really opened it again good to look at from time to time though :D but never the less great video as always. Enjoy your trip to Italy bud!
Eeeep omgosh as soon as this video startyed I got fab tingles. How have I not found your channel before?! Great video, 'scuze me whilst I check out the rest of your channel! Subscribed :)
Whispered Waves ASMR Awesome :D. Glad you enjoyed it, and that you found my channel! Thanks for the sub :)
Love this, could help but wake up and giggle when you said Sean BEAN lmao
I'm watching in 2020 during corona and i had a good laugh when you mentioned visiting Italy. I hope you enjoyed that trip!
Thank you, it was an amazing trip! If you're interested, I actually have a video where I edit some photos from that trip: czcams.com/video/05YlIf0gmP0/video.html
Wow! I'm very much enjoying your videos! I really appreciate your use of proper grammar and the clear enunciation. Seriously...it's a big deal. lol Also, I couldn't be more delighted with the subject matter, I'm an avid gamer myself and a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls! Definitely keep up the awesome work!
Thank you so much! People sometimes remark on my vocabulary and diction, but it's not something I do consciously - it's just the way I talk! Like a nerd, I guess :P. Anyway, if you like Elder Scrolls, you're in the right place. You might enjoy my Skryim wanders, or my book readings!
Lol! Well I'm feeling like a kid in a candy store right now with your channel! It's top notch stuff! You seriously have some of my most favorite games on here, it's stuff no one else has. So you're awesome! I feel like there are very few ASMRtists who cater to us nerdy folk! *sad sigh*
in checking out the story of Skyrim, I loved the idea of the thu'um. it would come in handy with the real-life 'dragons' I deal with.
ASMR in 60fps is amazing! :D And so is the Elder Scrolls series.
im in love with all Elder scrolls games and ofc eso
IMO ESO is shite compared to the songleplayer ones, the story is much better in them
Awesome new camera! :D Also an excellent video; cannot wait to see more in 60fps :D Enjoy your trip friend :D
I just started Skyrim, I haven't tried any of the others yet, but I hope to soon! I really love Skyrim so far :)
Just stumbled upon you. Honestly, the only male asmrtist I'm subbed to now. Keep it up.
Ephemeral rift and ASMR Cast are good male youtubers as we'll. you should check them out
Asmr Massage is the King of Asmr, he probably has the best quality video/sound etc too.
I use my galaxy to watch your vids at night. I watch the first 5 min then I fall asleep, not bothering me.
I misplaced mine when I moved in November. I just hope and pray it didn't get lost in the move because I have the box and the maps, but not the book with the discs and that worries me.
Thank you for posting this video! You have an amazing voice ☺
27:31 "There's no way a game could look that good, that detailed."
Red Dead Redemption 2: "Am I a joke to you?"
Great video 😁
There should have been an arena questline is Skyrim :(
I seem to recall that there was going to be a fighting arena in Windhelm, but it was cut at some point during development.
theASMRnerd Pretty sure you can visit the arena on PC if you type something into the console command. takes you to an unfinished arena.
God I had Skyrim and Oblivion for so fucking long. Recently I started playing Skyrim and I gotta say: I found my new fav game.
I've always been a huge Final Fantasy person when it comes to RPGs, but TES has really started to grow on me. I'm playing Skyrim now, but I'll eventually want to play the older games as well.
Morrowind and Oblivion are still excellent games, although they look very dated by default. However, there's a cornucopia of mods out there that can make them look lovely after all these years!
theASMRnerd thanks for the reply! If I do get Morrowind, I'll probably buy a physical copy of the game (assuming my PC can play it), because my download speeds are awful.
As far as I know, the only physical version available is the one in this anthology. Being an older game, Morrowind isn't a big download on Steam...I think it's under 1 GB. However, some of the high-res mod packs, if you want to use them, can be significantly larger.
Another great video, keep it up :)! Camera is great, enjoy your trip :).
Yesssss, 60fps ASMR is so good.
Getting ready to stream Marrowind which will be my first time playing the game. Are there any mods I should consider using?
Oh, many! Too many to list in a comment. If you'd like my modlist, DM me on Discord!
I'm a big fan of the 60fps video, I know some people find it a bit odd but I really enjoy the way it looks. Takes my eyes a second to adjust at first, but then I like it a lot.
Was going to wish you well on your Italy trip, but it was 5 years ago XD
I remember picking this anthology up for 35$ Canadian not long after it came out, found it on sale at an EB games! XD
I would love a detailed video of the maps I think it would be great
When I played Oblivion I first became the Grey Fox then got angry I was being chased all the time so spent a week training all my skills till I was overpowered. Joined the Dark Brotherhood and teamed up with Shadowmere. Went through the 2nd oblivion gate picked up Hatreds Soul and tracked down Umbra killed him to get Umbra's sword. Then, starting with the Imperial city, went city to city as the Grey Fox riding on Shadowmere slaughtering every character I could kill till no one was left in Cyrodiil. I turned the Grey Fox into a mass murderer, created my own storyline, the destruction of Cyrodiil through the tragedy of the Grey Fox. Grey Fox got tired of being chased everywhere he went so he was forced to kill everyone so he could travel in peace. I had the best time with this story it was a true Shakespearean tragedy.
Damn good video more like these and Star Wars wanders in all locations (Battlefront) my fav :)
Fucking love every single Bethesda game there so unique and pay so much attention to detail there's an entire elder scrolls dragon language I believe
Where can i grab the all of the elder scrolls lore books
Haha I was just thinking as you unfolded the map how unbelievably terrible I am at folding stuff like that back up. Then you had a little struggle and I didn't feel so bad.
Where did you get that book/books 0.o
Everyone started and loves oblivion/morrowind, but I started on skyrim and am in love with it to this day haha!
I love ALL of them! I just have the most nostalgia for Morrowind. It's a special game, but Skyrim is also very special.
Please do the map video when you get time. Would love to see it around the console ESO release!
Oblivion is my favourite game to play. I haven't really had chance to play Morrowind properly, because I have a bug on it, I assume I can't fix, or the game just isn't registering when I try to hit something.
If you mean that when you're attacking an enemy, your blows aren't connecting, it's because Morrowind's Combat and Skill system is based very heavily on probability, much like an old Dice RPG. At low levels you may struggle to damage an enemy, as a reflection of your skill with the weapon in question. Hope that was helpful!
Lol good one
Oblivion was the first TES game I played. Loved it.
You have to come here in Milan and see the Expo! It will take just a day or two (it depends on a) food you can eat in one day and b) money you want to spend :D).
Have a nice trip!
I’d love some Skyrim/Witcher 3 gameplay ASMR. Like actually playing through the story and everything. ❤️
Ugh. In love with your voice. So much yes.
It's Great to see another fellow Skyrim fan who is not judgemental and picks the crap out of it! 😃👍
Great video, I Love youri cant stop watching your videos XD
This is so satisfying
I'd love to see that in a bit ASMR version :D
This video gotta hella lot of views! Congrats!
Gosh this is the best ASMR channel best voice and he does video games.
+Pandorious Thanks, glad you're enjoying my content!
Awesome video man thanks
Enjoy your tour of Italy,I am sure it will be a magnificent journey.
3 years after, we now have the game confirmed. Never give up the Elder Scrolls Hype!!
You’re so relaxing!
What keyboard do you use!?
Love your videos!
2022 video still great especially cuz its bout the elder scrolls :)
Also, fun fact, Jeremy Soule also did the music for some of the Humongous Entertainment games. A bit of a juxtaposition, but considering those have great music as well, it's not too bad. :)
60 fps for the win,
good luck in Italy, hope you have a good time,
and also how do you record your voice cause I've noticed it jumping around in volume a little and i was just wondering if its the cameras mic or a separate mic that's somewhere else.
what is it with bethesda and starting as a prisoner
IKR
Fallout 3 had you start out as a baby
It gives the player a more role playing experience I believe because as a prisoner the player has no background or history and gives the player the chance to develop there own background for the character if that makes any sense ?
Bethesda’s Kink Fetish I Guess
It’s foreshadowing
