8:20 He's right and that is what is great about team sports. Greatest has to be connected with how they fit into a team and succeed because of it and that is open to all types of interpretations. What if Magic Johnson went to the Bulls instead of the Lakers? Would he still be considered one of the best, possibly in a system that doesn't focus on his strengths? The Bulls only lost 2 more games when MJ left and got to the E. Conference Semi-Finals, so was he as important to those wins as he appeared to be? Interpretation, luck and fitting in within a team.
If Jordan played the same amount of years lebum plays until he retires , JORDAN would be the top leading scorer of all time to and he would set the record so high that it would take lebum 30 years or more in the league to break it. The proof is already out there. Can't fully remember but I think it took lebum like 15 or 16 years to pass Jordan in points and Jordan only played 12 years.
So just imagine if Jordan would have played as long as lebum. For sure have 1 more ring, probably 3 or 4 more. Cause they was going to win 98-99 ! No question ! LJ has played all 82 gm.s once out 20 yr.s in an era that has softer play. MJ said had Dirk team hopped he would have more rings than me. Every championship roster in Dirks career was continually recruiting him.
