- Here's another one in the line up Series 5 like themes, one for the good old garden shed, Toby.
It's loosley based on the 'Discovery' version but done in the structure on the Series 1 theme mixed with Series 4's. I like Toby's theme a lot, very quaint and humble and suits him to a tee. Genius writing by O'Donnell and Campbell.

Hey everyone.
Just a quick message. While I know a lot of you enjoy the recreations of O'Donnell and Campbell's legendary work for TTTE. I'd also really appreciate if you'd take a look at music I've written too. I'm looking to experiment and expand as a composer to test my range and ideas, the Thomas stuff is nostalgic and everything but the original works is what I really enjoy to work with. Still on the 80s wave at the moment as there are some sounds I still want to tackle. Here’s a playlist of all the 80s and 90s stuff. I’ve arranged them similar to how they are on SoundCloud. Enjoy!

Yaaaaaaasss! I’ve been waiting for someone to make a proper S5-styled theme for Toby that wasn’t just a tweaked version of Oliver’s theme. I love it! ❤️
This theme is amazing! I've always loved the Toby/Oliver mashup from "Toby's Discovery", but this version is even better!
A great blend of the classic theme with S5. I liked Toby a lot in S5. I recall he had a good chunk of episodes. Of course, Toby and the Flood stands out for me.
Quite lovely! (Side note: I always thought that this theme and Oliver’s S5 theme could flow quite nicely).
@SmittyG513 I have a feeling that a canceled episode, meant for season 5, could be about both Toby and Olivier, or that maybe Toby's Discovery and Oliver's Find were originally written as a whole episode. It's not that unlikely, considering that Mike O'Donnel and Junior Campbell composed a Toby's Theme, which flowed over to Oliver's Theme.
@@OleAlexanderBrunaes Yeah, it’s an awesome idea. I even tried it myself on my channel, though, my synths, skills, and software are nowhere near as good as SA’s 😅. Reminds me of Thomas’s Season 6/7 (I can’t remember which one) theme where for a brief minute, Percy’s theme chimes in, but then transitions back to Thomas’s theme. It gives the same ability to mesh the two themes together.
@@smittyg513 And Derek’s theme is a mix between Bill & Ben’s Theme and Mavis’ Theme. Maybe Mavis was meant to be in Double Teething Troubles, but has been replaced with Derek, who was new then.

Learning Toby is now sadly gonna be apart of the reboot to just makes me miss the old days and appreciate these fan re-creations even more. This has defiantly cheered me up. Oldies But Goldies everyone!.

I’d say the desire for one over the other boils down to if you wanted Toby’s theme to be more adventurous or peppy!

Some of the music choices in Series 5-7 is questionable to me like how Toby's theme in "Toby's Discovery" is combined with elements of Oliver's. Should've been more like this I'd say.
The funny thing is Toby's theme was originally going to be the opening theme.
