***** Bulldogs need life vests, as their body shape (dense body, short legs) as well as their brachycephalic head shape (which makes it difficult to keep their nose out of the water) is not adequate to keep them afloat.
English Bulldogs are the greatest. I just got my first one this summer. He's 6 months old now and he is freaking awesome. So loving, so playful, such personality. He has surpassed all of my high expectations.
ThebulldogBEAST Kiddo sometimes in life kiddo that is exactly what happens...we lose control or can’t control what happens in life...sometimes the only person who can fix things is god...I will say a prayer for u and I hope it reaches you...life is beautiful...don’t give up on it...there are times when that rain cloud hangs right over us ...but it can’t stay there forever...eventually it will move...and the sun will be bright...hang in there my friend...
ThebulldogBEAST Kiddo sorry to hear about your stepmother making fun of putting your dog down...that is horrible...people should never make fun of something like that...I’m praying for u..if u ever need someone to listen ...I’m here
You have to be very careful about bulldogs and pools my bulldog once went missing for a minute and we found her at the bottom of the pool but luckily she hard good lungs and survived.
Bruce Dutton Calm down fuckface 😂 I was wondering if the dog has breathed in water did they have to do CPR. Obviously they jumped in your an idiot for even responding
What a truly amazing and beautiful boy you're fortunate to have in your lives,I've just seen him for no longer than 3 minutes and he's brought a smile to my face in an instant.. Love him for all he's worth as early there taken away from us far too quickly...x
These types of dogs drown eadily...Shitzus too.... please be careful.... short face dogs can get pneumonia easily from water getting in lungs.... Be safe!! He is precious!
NOT ALL DOGS LIKE THE POOL & WANT TO SWIM. YEARS AGO WE PUT MY ROTTIE THAT'S GONE NOW IN OUR POOL. SHE NEARLY SCRATCHED US & THE POOL APART TRYING TO GET OUT. WE DEFINITELY LEARNED A LESSON. MISS U ABBY.
Bullys and other such dogs will usually sink/drown if they are not supported with a doggy flotation vest - if they are conditioned to use one for the pool, etc, then you must ensure that they wear one as soon as they are near the water, as sometimes their enthusiasm can get the better of them and they may jump in before you have put on their life vest..... don’t want to have to try to rescue a 75lb drowning dog - trust me the mental, physical and financial costs are too great to risk it
Luculencia They can. Every dog I've ever owned, I spent 3 hours a day for a month teaching them to swim. One of them was an English Bulldog. The dog in the video is way over weight.
You don't know what you're talking about, bulldogs vary considerably, they can get down to a weight that is healthy for their body and still be shaped like a loaf. I have had them my whole life. I do recommend breeders who know what they are doing and breed dogs that are a bit more athletic, it is a tricky breed and unfortunately there are bad ones.
Spirit Wolf I had an English Bulldog that I taught to swim and she was good at it. She died in 2010 at 10 1/2 years old. I spent 1 hour a day with her for 3 months in the pool. I didn't just teach her how to swim. I taught her where to get out of my pool (it's an in-ground pool). I taught her everything so she would know where to get out of the pool in case she fell in or just wanted to go swimming. If I would have taken her to the river near my house or had I taken her to someone else's house that had a pool, I would have put a life jacket on her
You are out of you mind. They need to be fat to look strong??? WTF Fat bulldog = medical problems and die young. Skinny bulldog = healthy and live long
Dave M no lol my pop breeds them lol. They need to be fat but not overweight lol, too skinny and too fat is both not healthy for a bulldog because it's just their kind on breed
If feel bad for these dogs. Bred to extreme with severe underbit, trouble breathing and problems with their joints. Just to get a funny, chubby look. Sad.
Scott Roberts actually no old school bulldogs werent even this small the closest to the old english bulldog is the american bulldog if you wanna know what they used to look like search for american bulldog the closest one to what english bulldogs shouldve been until humans ruined it
Bulldogs are not as fat as you think.they are. they are a very muscular dog. their problem is they are wider in the front then they are in the back. I own a bulldog. he swims in a kiddy pool but the water is only 7 inches deep and he can touch bottom.
That bulldog is overweight. But they are in fact very muscular and not all overweight its the owner that makes them look as big as the one in the video
wow! hes like some kind of wonder doggie! running, climbing, uuumm, swimming! i LOVE English bulldogs! my male Bruiser could swim quite well, straight up and down, his snout the only thing above water, paddling along with all fours! he would run and dive in and you could see his face balloon out like an umbrella under water! so funny! my female Dixie could swim well too, rather conventionally although she preferred to splash around in the shallows and lay down in a few inches of water. she would have a big smile on her face, just splashing around on the creek bank. i miss them so terribly bad each and every day.some 9 and 7 yrs since their passing. i cant wait to see them again!
OtayMorr Yes they can. I had an English Bulldog when I was younger that could swim. She wasn't overweight like the dog in the video though. The dog should have been taken away from the owner. The dog really wants to go swimming, but it knows it's overweight. He looks really sad.
HairyBottom I do agree that this specific bulldog is overweight, but it has nothing to do with his ability to swim. I am aware that they are capable of swimming to a degree, but it should only ever happen supervised and preferably with a swimming vest. Their inability to swim properly doesn't come from their weight as a whole, but rather its distribution on their body. The front of their body is heavier than the back, making it very easy for them to tip over and their head to go under the water. When that happens, they are incapable of straightening themselves out and will drown without help. I'd rather people don't let their bulldogs swim on their own simply because it's dangerous, and with how easy it is for things to go wrong you might as well say they can't swim at all. Also, a bigger amount of fat would make it easier to swim rather than more difficult, just like it does with people.
Most cannot swim. Those that can must be accompanied by a strong swimmer. This isn't a high energy breed, they fatigue fairly quickly. Especially as they age. I recommend a flotation device and owners doing rescue drills with the dog. Even with a flotation device and a good swimmer, trying to maneuver a panicking dog through the water is difficult. I own 3 bulldogs, none able to swim. Have had to pull one out of the water before. Fortunately, it was just a city fountain, only a couple feet deep.
we had our sweet American bulldog with us at the lake once. he watched his bud lab going in the water for an hour on the bank looking nervous and finally braved the dreaded water. he swam over to his companion and came out. that boy hated water but he braved it out. just a fond memory of a very special boy so awfully missed.
aedr04 Say that to a Border Collie. I think you mean to say "and that my friends is the difference between a healthy animal, and an inbred overbred mongrel who is bred this way purely because humans are sick and see physically disabled as "cute".
He is a good boy and you are bad parents BECAUSE you could help him to go in the water and swim with him . That's nasty of you to let him with his crave for a swim ! Crualty ☹️

These kinds of designer dogs are riddled with health problems from birth. Shame on anybody who supports dog breeders. That poor dog looks disabled and miserable.
Patrick Bateman He is disabled and miserable but people don't care. Look around you in the comment section, about 8/10 people here say "awhhh cuuuute" and as long as those sick fucks keep seeing physically disabled/in pain as "cute" dog breeders will continue to breed and sell dogs this way.
*sticks paw out* "Swimming power: Activate!" "No, that didn't work"
Haha
lol XD 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lol
🤣🤣🤣
Awwww get that baby a life jacket so he can go swimming.
This big boy needs a life vest. Then he can have a blast and be safe about it as well. Such a cutie! Very brave too! 🐾❤️🐾
Every time he raises his paw, he be like: "Oh no, this shit is deep..." (lol).
Awww. You should get him a dog life vest so he can swim. He looks like he wants to so badly.
***** Bulldogs need life vests, as their body shape (dense body, short legs) as well as their brachycephalic head shape (which makes it difficult to keep their nose out of the water) is not adequate to keep them afloat.
Hey it's Ashley lol your not smart
Sure the instincts are there but we have bred dogs like this one into shapes that cannot physically swim. Pugs cant usually swim either.
Eng Bulldogs are not built for swimming
b3b3 hands słś
I loved it when he gently patted his paw at the water. 🐶🐶🐶
English Bulldogs are the greatest. I just got my first one this summer. He's 6 months old now and he is freaking awesome. So loving, so playful, such personality. He has surpassed all of my high expectations.
English and French Bulldogs are the best! It's too bad they're so expensive and have lots of health issues. If I was single I'd get one again.
@@joet7136 My guy just turned 4 and he has been solid. I have kept his weight in check.
Awwww his little paws wanting to swim soooooo cute!!!
Whenever I see an English bulldog with that face I instantly think that they're thinking "I am a sexy beast" xD

How cute is he!!!! One of the sweetest Bulldogs ive ever seen. He would look so adorable in a life vest🐶💜

Aww hims so cute! Aww he wants to swim! I like the way he’s testing out the ledge w his paw! Such a sweet guy❤️
instead of laughing at him for so long the owners should have got in the pool to help him swim
Issa Person he said help.. that dog wouldn’t weigh but like 5 pounds underwater, everything is lighter. They could have easily helped him.

G Unit You're dumb.

Aww poor little dumpling, please get him a swim vest or help him out instead of just filming him.
Oh fuck off. There's nothing wrong with this owner filming a dog playing in the water.
Stop bitch and do something with your life.
It is not meant to swim if anything you can just get it a lifejacket so the dog can stay from drowning and still be able to enjoy the water
Rick _Bruh
Owww 😅😂😂
The cats climbing in and out of the window is pretty cute too! 🐾❤️🐾
He looks like he swallowed a life vest, LOL! And that paw. Perfect example of "testing" the water" before you jump in! :))
If you loose weight you can be olympic swimmer
😂😂😂 he was playing it safe lolol wading is okay! Lolol
Smart and gorgeous baby!🌸
He is gorgeous bully!😍
Beautiful Dog.

Cute video but it wouldn't hurt this dog to do a few laps, he's a bit of a chub. LOL. Looks like those pets have the life.
bull dogs need to be fat to look strong which they are
Abigail Montoya : That makes absolutely no sense to me. So it's more of a look then being healthy?
yes that's true I own English bulldogs

Even the cat 🐱 feels bad for him! Awww
I feel so bad for him/her
If feel bad for these dogs. Bred to extreme with severe underbit, trouble breathing and problems with their joints. Just to get a funny, chubby look. Sad.
They were bred to bait bulls and the underbite and the short nose was on purpose. This bully is just over weight.
Scott Roberts actually no
old school bulldogs werent even this small
the closest to the old english bulldog is the american bulldog
if you wanna know what they used to look like
search for american bulldog
the closest one to what english bulldogs shouldve been until humans ruined it
Miche. I think you'd like the Olde Victorian Bulldogge. Look them up.
Miche. I personally have 2 English and a French
Scott Roberts Exactly
Bulldog is my only favorite pet, so chilled and laid back and looks adorable
My mind is melting he’s sooooo cute
Bloody hell that is one fat bull dog. No wonder he wants a swim to take the pressure off. Get him a life jacket!
Bulldogs are not as fat as you think.they are. they are a very muscular dog. their problem is they are wider in the front then they are in the back.
I own a bulldog. he swims in a kiddy pool but the water is only 7 inches deep and he can touch bottom.

wow! hes like some kind of wonder doggie! running, climbing, uuumm, swimming!
i LOVE English bulldogs!
my male Bruiser could swim quite well, straight up and down, his snout the only thing above water, paddling along with all fours!
he would run and dive in and you could see his face balloon out like an umbrella under water! so funny!
my female Dixie could swim well too, rather conventionally although she preferred to splash around in the shallows and lay down in a few inches of water. she would have a big smile on her face, just splashing around on the creek bank.
i miss them so terribly bad each and every day.some 9 and 7 yrs since their passing.
i cant wait to see them again!
Good way to lose a beautiful bull. Watch him! PLEASE
Can Bulldogs even swim? They are so massive, heavy, and solidly made for their size, would they even have enough buoyancy not to sink?
They can't swim.
OtayMorr Yes they can. I had an English Bulldog when I was younger that could swim. She wasn't overweight like the dog in the video though.
The dog should have been taken away from the owner.
The dog really wants to go swimming, but it knows it's overweight. He looks really sad.

My English Bulldog is also this size and swims all over the lake. You put a child in the lake and that's all it takes he loves it!
Be careful Bulldog sink.
OMG this bulldog is so cute😇
They are so funny! So much personality. lol
He's freaking adorable omg
Aaaw, you should bring him in the pool and just carry him around in the water
Who else was worried he'd fall into the deep part?
we had our sweet American bulldog with us at the lake once. he watched his bud lab going in the water for an hour on the bank looking nervous and finally braved the dreaded water. he swam over to his companion and came out. that boy hated water but he braved it out. just a fond memory of a very special boy so awfully missed.
Ah, what a beautiful and fit creature. I'm sure it's very happy with its own existence.
Poor thing! His body isn't quite fit for the sport.
And that my friends, is the difference between dogs and... cats.
aedr04 Say that to a Border Collie. I think you mean to say "and that my friends is the difference between a healthy animal, and an inbred overbred mongrel who is bred this way purely because humans are sick and see physically disabled as "cute".
Beautiful dog!.
Ahhh he's so beautiful... They deserve the best. I miss mine so much
Bulldogs should never be in the water unsupervised or they can drown. This is to let people know .,not a criticism of you and your dog.
I am sorry cause I don't wanna turn out being rude, but isn't he a bit chubby? ^^
Ginger Ella bulldogs are a little chubby thats normal cause my neighboor bulldog is almost 50kg
Ginger Ella he Is overweight
The dog looks like a suitcase. Adorable.
My fav breed. You just have to love them. 😂
who even thumbs down
The kind of people who should be sent to forced labour camps
JesusLovesUsAll777 ....asshats hit thumbs down on this adorable sausage! Lol I hope he has gotton to swim!!!!!
Damn! Why doesn't the family put a life vest on Buster? This was not a fun video to watch. I felt sad for poor Buster.
Beautiful Cat's !
"A little dip in the pool and I'm great!!" 👍❤
instead of filming him, how about you help him.
wdrebeltrucker help him what?hes discovering world.like his owner cant help after filming the moment😒
