There is a very small dog that also skateboards... but that one is in another level.. that one can traverse a street full of people.. in china... the control of steering of that dog is better than of many people.. it is amazing how that dog goes around skating a very long street without hitting anyone, doing very sharp turns and everything.. check for it...

honestly he has an advantage compared to people, we have our center of gravity up way to high which makes it far easier for humans to fall off. (relative to a bulldog)

It makes sense, tho - Bulldogs have the lowest center of gravity to highest weight ratio, so their body is perfectly built for skateboarding! And they can go faster and farther then if they were running, so I imagine that the great amounts of exhilaration and joy they experience skateboarding would FIRMLY embed this tendency into the Bulldog morphogenetic field, so that anytime a bulldog has skateboard access it'll want to try and jump on for a ride - then instantly becomes obsessed once they confirm the awesomeness of it! I bet it's kinda like flying for them, while still being attached to the ground.

Never really thought about it that way. But it makes sense. Bulldogs can't really get around as well as other dogs. So the skateboard gives him a powerful sense of freedom and joy. So him obsessing over it to the point that he wants sleep with it is understandable.

Not lazy, they get less air than many breeds and are susceptible to summer heat. But friend Chowder could lose a few pounds to advantage: seen from above, English bulldogs should be narrow at the hips. That said, he’s a good example of the breed with classic bulldog grit and determination. Go, Chowder!

The key in breeding is careful selection. And you produce healthy dogs with few issues. Unfortunately many people breed indiscriminately and that is why many of these wonderful dogs have serious issues. They are such great characters. Loving funny are where bulldogs are concerned sometimes quite stubborn . But we wouldn’t be without them 💕💕💕

Bulldogs get focused on something and they don't let up. Example. My Mick thinks he sees something under.a chair or couch. Even though there is nothing there,he will be completely obsessed. Doesn't let up.

That's what shocked me as well...his ability to turn. Any dog can be taught to stand on a skateboard but Chowder not only gets himself moving, he ABSOLUTELY knows how to turn the board by leaning side to side. That's crazy.

I had a dog who'd hop onto a moped without being asked, sit between my feet and lean into bends like a pro. It cracked me up. I think that part is instinctive and comes from how they lean while running to steer themselves. Although if they are afraid they will forget it at that moment. So they really have to love it to be so good at it like Chowder.
As a skateboarder of over 30 yrs I totally understand the obsession .. truly wonderful to see chowder so happy to be a skate dude. ⚡⚡

They don’t all love it, but i’m convinced that they can all learn to ride (I only mean bulldogs, this is an odd phenomenon as this is at least the 10th one i’ve seen learn to do it quite quickly)
