Dominique learns Angela's history and is suspicious when the FBI is hacked. Angela confronts Darlene about her and Elliot creating fsociety after remembering the masks originate from a movie they watched many times as kids. Angela settles the E Corp v Washington Township lawsuit, and through Price, she's reassigned to the Risk Management division. But she oversteps boundaries at her first director's meeting. fsociety is able to interrupt Price's bailout vote. Mr. Robot admits to Elliot that they shot Tyrell. Elliot fixes Ray's website, but also alerts the FBI via the internet after seeing they are selling slaves, drugs and heavy weapons on the Dark Net. Ray realizes what Elliot has done and feeling remorse, lets Elliot go as the FBI arrive. Mr. Robot encourages Elliot to be a leader, making peace with him to benefit them both. A gang attacks Elliot for shutting down Ray's website but Leon stops them; he works for the Dark Army, protecting Elliot for Whiterose. Leon tells Elliot he'll get a letter and to do what it says.

@@olcuqap1789 Breaking bad and Mr. Robot are two masterpieces. My favorite shows of all time are those two and Dark. The three have an amazing story,cast,cinematography and soundtrack. I don't think there will ever be any shows like these ones.

Everyone knows Rami was amazing on this show but I hope Craig Robinson gets the credit he deserves for this amazing performance too. Takes two to tango. Perfect scene.
@KitchensAreHot comedic actors usually nail roles like these with a serious tone. Look at Bryan Cranston, guy was prominent as a comedic actor before breaking bad
It was nice seeing him in a serious and dramatic role….people tend to typecast him to goofy, silly, or comedic roles due to the office.

took till my third rewatch to notice the reason why the traffic was double what it used to be was cause Elliot made website public and google-able.

Actually, comedic actors are usually very good in serious roles. It takes a good amount of acting ability to be a comedy actor, more than people realize. I mean look at Adam Sandler

The dialogue actually matches with the game perfectly. 1:32 "I don't think she meant it to go where it went, just wanted to make some extra scratch" basically explains the tactical purpose of bishop to b5 since it provokes the pawn's on black's queenside
You could also say that in the final position, White's queen(a girl, she) is sitting on h3(or a6, the board is set up wrong), completely cut off from the defense of his king, where he needs it. The only reason the queen is there is because White got greedy. He won a pawn and a rook in exchange for only a knight, which is a good trade in theory. However, in the long run it isn't helpful. Elliot, on the other hand, is willing to give up his pieces, even his most valuable piece, the Black queen, because he plans for the long term gain, i.e winning the game.
White is technically ahead in material, but all of his pieces are sitting on the first rank. Black is down material, but all of his pieces are doing something.
The masterpiece that will pass to the next generations. I feel bad that series is underrated and lots of people don’t even know what it is about.. 🥺

@@moracex It starts out being about a hacker group trying to shut down a megacorporation and eradicate debt, then it evolves into following Elliot's journey to learn how to deal with his mental health problems, while having the hacking plot as the vehicle which allows Elliot to move forward in his journey.

I'm re-watching this show and I must say, its so re-watchable because now knowing how it ends, you catch a lot more clues hiding in plain sight.
This scene is one of my favorites in the entire show. Elliot asks us for so many answers, and after getting beaten and punished for keeping to his truth, this was the first time someone outside of us validated him as THE answer.
This is absolutely one of the best written and acted TV sereies of all time. Just the amount of time and effort that went into making sure the technical aspects were as realistic as possible, speaks volumes about the rest of the show. I have a feeling there will never be another one like this...

The only thing that could come close, at least in a whole different genre, is The Expanse. Same level of accuracy and quality.
I truly wanted this show to be a wake up call to fiction writers that people wanted more reality when in it came to technology. Thus far, even though it expanded well beyond niche status to be one of the most critically acclaimed shows in television, the rest of what is out there has not caught up. The attention that Mr. Robot pays to technology is the same kind of attention to science that made Breaking Bad incredible. Audiences are smarter than writers think. Some of the things done here were so, so smart. From starting fires in a data center by hacking UPS battery firmwares, to social engineering, to what is probably one of the smartest takes on exploiting SMS two factor authentication. Some of it moved into the surreal towards the end, but it was drenched in reality from the beginning.

That board position in the end is a checkmate in 3 for Elliot, that's some really good attention to detail

After interacting with Eliot he looked and after not being able to deny it anymore lets himself be caught because as he says he and Elliot knew what he would do as soon as he touched a computer again
The acting in this show never ceases to amaze me. The cut to Ray when his henchmen says their traffic has doubled and his look just tells you he knows exactly what Elliot did.

The amount of Easter eggs and thoughts that went into this show, and the quality of performance by each actors, if you have never watched this show, you are definitely missing out. Truly a masterpiece.

Nobody talks about Craig’s performance in this show.
It was very uneasy having to experience the character Ray he was playing... knowing Craig for his streetwise mature leveled humour that has been a signature characteristic to his persona, Ray was definitely a surprising watch!

I wasn’t in a good place when this show aired. But rn I needed this so much. I’m a cyberpunk goth searching for meaning in this corrupt country and my husband just got diagnosed with Schizophrenia. So I’m researching psychosis and I’m dealing with my own disabilities and personality disorder so this is healing for my household. I’m going to purchase this show right now even though it profits a corporation.
Oof. That sucks. I dated a schizoid. Still hoping it works out but right im not sure. She's blocked me and I don't know why. Just that, she's still out of it.
You aren't going to want to hear this but im going to warn you right now. There will be times he wants to leave. There will be times he seems like he really doesn't care about you anymore. Wait for him because he does. When the voices come, they can convince people of anything. And no amount of logic will dispute their delusions because they aren't based in logic. If there is any sign he isn't stable, don't take to heart anything he says or does. Once the delusion, ends he's not going to feel the same way and will regret it all and blame himself. There are going to be family and friends that don't understand this and bridges will be burned.
Although if you have borderline personality disorder. You probably understand that yourself. I recommend a song when things get tough. All the Same - Sick Puppies.
He won't likely have visual delusions. He won't forget, or not know what he's done. Its mainly just irrational fears and audible delusions. Sometimes remembering things that didn't happen. So this show isn't exactly a good comparison.
The best thing is not letting him isolate. He's going to want to. Don't let him spend too much time not socializing, that only makes things worse. And don't argue with him too much. Unless you have very clear evidence against his delusions (not logic. Tangible evidence) he isn't going to change his mind. Just find ways to make the best of his thoughts and reduce stress. The less stress he feels, the better he will be too.
I wish this show was longer
They play a line of the Marshall gambit. Its a chess opening where black sacrifices a pawn for a fierce attack, and white has to defend very precisely or it will end up very bad. It relates to how the black dude grabbed a pawn (ran the website to make a scratch) but ended bad for him

Seems Ray and Elliot really weren't so different after all. Both of them made a deal with their loved one (Elliot about hiding the cancer) which they end up breaking in the end.

My only issue with this scene is that the bishop magically appears next to the knight and before Elliot makes a move it moves again
