    Love the short tutorial videos, this the best one I’ve seen that explains the different cuts. I had an LWRC lower transferred to a local gun shop the other day and when I picked it up the guy was like ‘huh these LWRC lowers would be really easy to make fully auto.” I didn’t know what he meant at the time, and was afraid to ask, but now I do. 😂

    Thanks for the difference overview as I always assumed all AR-15 lowers were “MIL-SPEC” and milled the same.

      Yeah, they are all different and different companies do it differently.

    The colt cut still offends my sensibilities

    Thank you for sharing. From a collectable standpoint the M16 receiver cut would be the most desirable especially for retro build.

    The "Colt Cut" predates the 1990s. It even predates the 1986 Hughes Amendment to the 1986 FOPA, whuch shows *why* Colt actually did it.
    Colt didn't want people filing a Form 1 on an SP1 - they wanted them to buy a factory Colt machinegun, with the markup.

    The "Colt cut" is still better than the old sear block method. It also required machining of the bolt carrier for the gun to run.

    Full auto is just a waste of ammo and barrels . Having Geissele triggers makes the AR 15 complete.

      I agree. FA is fun, but not useful is many situations but yet the regulate it like it is a weapon of mass destruction.

    There is a fourth with just a low shelf and not machine gun cut that accepts a DIAS

    unfortunately mine is colt cut, but haven't run into any drop in trigger problems "yet". however you should explain the easiest way to remove that p.o.s. Colt cut wall

      If it is not in the way, there is nothing you should really do. It is just stupid that they put it in there.

    My AR lower is a combination between the pri m16 and the bushmaster and mine also says auto next to my safe selector can anybody explain why its like that??

    • @thetexasgunvault
      @thetexasgunvault  Před 6 měsíci +1

      They can engrave anything they want on the side of the lower to give it the right look. They just can't drill the 3rd hole.

    As you yourself have pointed out in other videos, if you are a responsible and legal gun owner, you are already "complying" to these unconstitutional laws so it shouldn't matter if your lower receiver has the material removed or not. Except if it prevents some after market triggers from being installed. Once a "law abiding" gun owner proceeds with the modification to convert the AR-15 to fully automatic, they are no longer "law abiding", at least in the eyes of the ATF and LE. Once that happens, our arguments that these laws only hurt "law abiding" gun owners start to go out the window. We all need to remember that our actions, regardless of our own beliefs or views of our rights under the 2nd Amendment have consequences and the Antiguan side that are clearly working every possible angle to disarm the American population will use that against us.

    • @thetexasgunvault
      @thetexasgunvault  Před rokem +1

      Sure, they are all complying. Just some like to walk closer to the line than others.
