How Kagurabachi Created the Greatest First Villain

  • Kagurabachi's almost at its 30 chapter mark and although it isn't fully in the clear when it comes to whether or not it'll get axed, the actual content of Kagurabachi itself has been incredible so far(Don't worry about being axed, Kagurabachi volume 1 sales were great). It's been a while since I was blown away by a villain so early on in a battle shonen since most of the time, the first couple of villains tend to not be very complex or have that great of a dynamic with the main character since most of the focus is placed on showing the main character's power and worldbuilding. However, in Kagurabachi, Hokazono combined these three aspects and gave us Sojo, one of the best early antagonists I've ever seen in manga. Even though Sojo's been wrapped up by chapter 20, his impact is felt immensely throughout Kagurabachi and the more I look back on Sojo, the more I appreciated him. His dynamic with Chihiro is genuinely generational and comes so early on that it makes Kagurabachi one of the BEST new manga to ride the weekly train for.
Thanks so much for watching! If you enjoyed it, feel free to like & subscribe :)

Wow. Such a detailed analysis of Chihiro and Sojo's dynamic, and with so few views... I hope that sooner or later luck will come to this video and it will become popular.
