How Wind Breaker Perfected The Strongest

Wind Breaker is a delinquent anime and manga I've been looking forward to as a Tokyo Revengers fan. Wind Breaker excited me even more when I found out it was being handled by Clover Works, who I knew would do it justice. I already had my heart shattered once by a delinquent manga, but Wind Breaker, at least the anime, immediately distanced itself from Tokyo Revengers since it featured great production and focused on a main character who actually knew how to fight. After the first couple of minutes of hands being thrown, I thought Wind Breaker would be your typical rowdy kid joins rowdy school, unites them, and becomes the leader everyone was hoping for. What I wasn't expecting was the perfect leader already being present at the school Sakura was set to attend. When I mean perfect, I mean perfect. Umemiya's one of the best examples of 'the strongest' I've seen in animanga due to his leadership and unique viewpoint on basically everything. He's an extremely thrilling character to see, not because he can fight, but because he's so strong due to his compassion and wisdom. Definitely one of the best in this medium and someone worth watching/reading Wind Breaker for, even if you aren't a fan of deliquent manga.
