    Absolutely love the router. I finally got one 3 weeks ago and it changed my life! Between the ease of use, the clear deck and led, and obviously no cord, it makes life so much easier! Oh yeah, it’s very powerful too

    The Dewalt 20V Oscillating Tool, Impact Driver, Oscillating Sander, Flashlights Drill/Drivers generally, Tire Inflator are all very good. Have them all. I heard that the new 20V Blower is now powerful enough to use based on Amazon comments-- didn't used to be until redesign.
    I have the 60V Chainsaw and Blower -- both excellent.
    Just got the outdoor tools, hedge trimmer, pole saw, edger etc -- seem OK but haven't used enough to comment more.
    Very hard to go wrong with Dewalt.
    Also good as far as I know: Milwaukee, Bosch, Makita.
    I would stay within these four brands in most cases to get the best tools. All are top brands.
    Flexvolt Dewalt 60V batteries are a real breakthrough. Can run many of the 20V tools -- just much longer.

      @@seansmith4982 How to best put it.... How about I just say, that for it's size, the vacuum is pretty impressive. So much so, that I pretty much quit dragging out my rigid shop vacs for a lot of things. I vacuum up water a lot, and little spills and messes. It is the perfect vacuum for detailing a car. I also drag it out every time I have to clear chips off the mill or lathe. Easily one of my most used cordless tools. Have a good rest of the week.

  • @josuecaleb5053
    @josuecaleb5053 Před měsícem

    My favorite dewalt tools that I have are the cordless jigsaw, router and random orbital sander, in that order.
    The jigsaw is probably my favorite because it is much better than my bosche corded jigsaw, both in convenience and functionality. My older porter cable 690 routers are still very nice and the dewalt is just lighter/more portable. I have only ever had my dewalt sander so I have nothing to compare it to except a crappy corded harbor freight sander.

    Such a great collection of tools. Love the band saw, screwdriver and router. Great demos. I'm going to purchase cordless DeWalt and am trying to get up to speed on what they offer and the interchangeability of the batteries between tools. Do you know if any of these items are sold in DeWalt kits? I'll check out your other videos. Thanks for just giving us your experience and having straightforward content.

    Dude, you're costing me money here😂
    As an electrician, HVACR tech, and general maintenance person, I should have bought a portaband years ago. Cutting all the different materials, I've after the other, sold it for me haha.
    That battery powered shop vac having the option to plug in such a great feature. I have a makita dust buster type thing, which is handy, but a wet / dry shop vac that runs on batteries, and has the option to plug in, is just too convenient to pass up.

    Great video! Can these dewalt batteries be used interchangeably between the power tools and outdoor tools? So many dewalt models I don’t even know which one is current anymore. Currently I have the ryobi old model and am considering to return it to get the dewalt or new hp ryobi. Dewalt stands out but very pricy, hoping their battery for the power tools can work with the outdoor tools

      Great question! It is a whole ball of wax for sure. I think DeWalt has the most complex battery system out there. It would take a while to type out here, so I will point you to this video for a rundown.

      All dewalt tools can be used with a dewalt 20 volt battery, the best way to i found to start collecting power tools is by looking for tools on Facebook Market or waiting on Home Depot/Lowe’s tool deals which are buy one get one free or discounts that go on once in a while for any power tools. Heck i even got a steal on a Dewalt XR chainsaw with a 5ah battery for $120 on Facebook Market.

    I have an issue with dewalt batteries dying so fast

    • @Knacksmith
      @Knacksmith  Před 3 lety +1

      What tool and battery combo do you use the most? I can't say that I am on one particular tool long enough and often enough to have a sense of battery life as compared to other brands. We do use a lot of Milwaukee stuff as well. I typically run the 6 Ah flex volt batteries for DeWalt, and I feel like I never charge those things under normal conditions. However, I have noticed that the grinders under heavy use will chew up batteries. I feel like that is expected though. Anyways, just random thoughts : )

    • @lethargicmotorsport2025
      @lethargicmotorsport2025 Před 3 lety

      The two amp batteries will die rather quickly on saws or grinders , we use 3 to 5 amp batteries one most everything and 6 , 8 or 10 amp batteries on the bigger saws . Also we never recharge hot batteries .

    I just need to know how strong the Screwdriver is. Most screwdriver's are so weak, unable to fix anything.

    • @Knacksmith
      @Knacksmith  Před 2 lety

      The screwdriver is by far the most used tool in my collection. I work on a lot of industrial restaurant equipment. Espresso machines, smoothie machines, frozen drink, fridge, freezers and the like. It is perfect for that kind of work. It will drive #8 two inch wood screws fairly easily. The good news is that it has an insane mechanical breaking system. If your hands are strong enough, it will break loose or tighten anything a standard screwdriver will.

    • @JohnSmith-we1xg
      @JohnSmith-we1xg Před 2 lety
