    10:20 the data for the super gauge is reading from the OBD2, correct? A Bluetooth adapter and torque pro is like $20 total. You can make gauges out of any OBD2 data with torque. I love banks and they have good products. I bought the rear diff cover for my 02 Duramax and it is splendid. Never used their gauges yet. But with torque I run pages of gauges already. My phone mounts in front of the cd player and displays the gauges. The ideal setup would be 1 or 2 dedicated tablets/phones running torque. The only drawback with torque is if u need to add a pyrometer manually, or any other gauge for that matter, u gotta have an edge or banks to plug the pyrometer into - or just run the pyrometer on a separate physical gauge. I run Torque in my Prius also, with gauges showing each battery cell voltage. I think it's android only, but they may have similar apps for iOS.

    I’m going have to get a Derringer now! Finally took Delivery of my 2019 F-450 Limited! Haven’t towed anything with it yet but I have no doubt it will do it like a boss! I don’t even have 600km on it yet so I don’t really want to be putting it under heavy load quite yet. One thing that really surprised me with the F-450 compared to my F-350 is the widetrack front end on the 450. It’s turns a lot tighter than I ever would have expected.

    • @workplaytv
      @workplaytv  Před 4 lety +1

      Gravy Train Outdoors Oh yeah man makes a huge difference. My 550 turns better than my 250 or 350. That’s awesome man I would say I’ll have a 450 someday. Give her a couple thousand miles before you really work her if you can. I’d change the oil as well.

    • @gravytrainoutdoors
      @gravytrainoutdoors Před 4 lety

      workplaytv I will definitely be gentle on it for a bit! I don’t see anything in the new owner’s manual but the older trucks always said 1000 miles. Even if the engine doesn’t need much of a break in the rear end still does. I’ve rebuilt my share of differentials and the ring and pinions really need it.

      Looking to get a DRW dedicated tow rig. Looking at F350, F450, and F550. Can you please give me your advice with pros and cons of going with a F550 over a F350. It seems like the F550s are not much more money than the F350s with a flat bed in my area and I’m shopping new units.
      I was thinking an example for F550;
      Pros would be payload, better brakes, etc.
      Cons for the F550 is the fact that it’s detuned, higher insurance?, higher taxes due to weight when traveling on state roads? Rougher ride.
      We would be towing 13k mini or a 10k skid, or farm tractor with a bat wing.
      Just curious if we should look at the 550 more or if the 350 would be suitable. The only turn off for me on the 550 is the fact that it’s detuned. But, I’d rather have a little extra towing capacity for safety then not have it. Any info is greatly appreciated.

    • @workplaytv
      @workplaytv  Před 4 lety

      WeGoOutdoors Hey man with those weights any truck would handle it it. The 450 and 550 have a wider axle in the front making the turning radius much better as well as having bigger brakes. The 550 has a huge spring pack so able to haul more and feel stable. Will be slower than the 350 or 450 but will last. 550 you can mount boxes like I did and configure truck the way you want. It’s really all about what you need. I would go 450 or 550.
      And the way it works here you only pay what you register the truck for so any truck would be the same just depends what you register it at.

    • @WeGoOutdoors
      @WeGoOutdoors Před 4 lety

      Awesome thanks man! All great info. And as you know there are always many variables to consider when buying a piece of equipment. We are leaning towards the 550 just to do the “buy once cry once.”
