Am so glad someone is finally making videos for the Derringer on the Powerstroke.
That’s what I said! lol
Couldn't agree more. 🤣
Banks Power Well can’t lie it’s pretty cool to get a comment from you guys! Hope you have one coming for the 2020 Powerstroke with the 10 speed. I ordered mine that arrives in December and want one for it!
i know it's pretty off topic but does anyone know a good site to watch new tv shows online ?
@Ezra Joe flixportal xD
10:20 the data for the super gauge is reading from the OBD2, correct? A Bluetooth adapter and torque pro is like $20 total. You can make gauges out of any OBD2 data with torque. I love banks and they have good products. I bought the rear diff cover for my 02 Duramax and it is splendid. Never used their gauges yet. But with torque I run pages of gauges already. My phone mounts in front of the cd player and displays the gauges. The ideal setup would be 1 or 2 dedicated tablets/phones running torque. The only drawback with torque is if u need to add a pyrometer manually, or any other gauge for that matter, u gotta have an edge or banks to plug the pyrometer into - or just run the pyrometer on a separate physical gauge. I run Torque in my Prius also, with gauges showing each battery cell voltage. I think it's android only, but they may have similar apps for iOS.
Its nice to see something close to home. this is a very good video, u answered most of the questions i had in mind about those trucks and their towing capability, so thank u for your time.
I’m going have to get a Derringer now! Finally took Delivery of my 2019 F-450 Limited! Haven’t towed anything with it yet but I have no doubt it will do it like a boss! I don’t even have 600km on it yet so I don’t really want to be putting it under heavy load quite yet. One thing that really surprised me with the F-450 compared to my F-350 is the widetrack front end on the 450. It’s turns a lot tighter than I ever would have expected.
Gravy Train Outdoors Oh yeah man makes a huge difference. My 550 turns better than my 250 or 350. That’s awesome man I would say I’ll have a 450 someday. Give her a couple thousand miles before you really work her if you can. I’d change the oil as well.
workplaytv I will definitely be gentle on it for a bit! I don’t see anything in the new owner’s manual but the older trucks always said 1000 miles. Even if the engine doesn’t need much of a break in the rear end still does. I’ve rebuilt my share of differentials and the ring and pinions really need it.
That was an awesome video man I love seeing towing videos like this!!
That's gorgeous setup
We watch you all the time here in Kentucky and really enjoy you. Please think about those of us who are hurt when you drop the “GD” bomb. You never know who hears this. God bless you and you family!
Awesome brother keep up the awesome work
2 days guys.
nice set up
It’s an awesome rig man no doubt! Looks incredible!! I sweated a little when you were climbing that hill and the truck shifted down to 1st.
WeGoOutdoors oh yeah she was pretty much straight up! Crazy!
Looking to get a DRW dedicated tow rig. Looking at F350, F450, and F550. Can you please give me your advice with pros and cons of going with a F550 over a F350. It seems like the F550s are not much more money than the F350s with a flat bed in my area and I’m shopping new units.
I was thinking an example for F550;
Pros would be payload, better brakes, etc.
Cons for the F550 is the fact that it’s detuned, higher insurance?, higher taxes due to weight when traveling on state roads? Rougher ride.
We would be towing 13k mini or a 10k skid, or farm tractor with a bat wing.
Just curious if we should look at the 550 more or if the 350 would be suitable. The only turn off for me on the 550 is the fact that it’s detuned. But, I’d rather have a little extra towing capacity for safety then not have it. Any info is greatly appreciated.
WeGoOutdoors Hey man with those weights any truck would handle it it. The 450 and 550 have a wider axle in the front making the turning radius much better as well as having bigger brakes. The 550 has a huge spring pack so able to haul more and feel stable. Will be slower than the 350 or 450 but will last. 550 you can mount boxes like I did and configure truck the way you want. It’s really all about what you need. I would go 450 or 550.
And the way it works here you only pay what you register the truck for so any truck would be the same just depends what you register it at.
Awesome thanks man! All great info. And as you know there are always many variables to consider when buying a piece of equipment. We are leaning towards the 550 just to do the “buy once cry once.”
WeGoOutdoors Haha perfect. Let me know if you need anything else
Is this a cab and chassis truck?
I like your zip tie set up better than their suction cup mount. Suction cup mounts look like they should be sold at the car wash.
keep them coming, bud
That’s not bad, I was pulling 35,500 early this week in the mountains, wouldn’t recommend it on a stock truck definitely needs some extra power. and a good engine brake. 👍🏼 (that’s including the trailer weight)
Full Life Adventures Lol what you have for your truck again?
Your 450? Just subscribed to your channel.
workplaytv yeah F450, it’s a solid truck. I love all the Fords you have 💪🏼. Thank you for the sub.
Full Life Adventures Good job buddy. Did you upgrade your trailer or still have the PJ?
workplaytv I still have the PJ. It’s good to have for backup and expansion. I use the DC daily. I’ll make a comparison video soon.
Show some more of the jobs you do, would love to see your machine do work on those trees and brush.
Ian Tattam actually editing a video right now designated to that.
@@workplaytv Awesome, cant wait to see.
ever thought about a skid steer with a mulcher head?
Harry Barclay For sure I did. If you watch I video of posted a couple weeks ago I show the rough rocky terrain that we usually work at. The skid wouldn’t do the job.
Did it feel like it changed your shifting points on transmission after tuner was installed
crs excavating I don’t think. With the 4.88 gears it’s so high anyway.
Wow wonder what percent grades those are 😉👍
L W man at the end who know but it was a climb. Camera does a bad job of grades
workplaytv Ya I just know that a 550 with a tune and 4.88 gears down to 2nd gear is a pretty steep climb!! 😉
Is this a Chassis cab model truck? I didnt see the rear.
That f550 is awesome what's up with ur hats u putting them up for sale
Alan Serge Lol you want one?
Is the new 6.7 like the 6.0s when deltas are over 15 degrees difference, theres an issue with oil cooler (Coolant and oil temps)?? Very impressed though...cant believe egt is as good as it is, thanks for the video!!
Kazper413 You bet man fun video to make. But the temp that was off was the trans.
@@workplaytv it looked like the coolant and oil temps were about 20* off each other. I had two 6.0s that blew oil coolers from being clogged wasnt sure if new 6.7 was the same way or if ford changed the parameter difference for the two. Love the 550 man and love the set up would definitely be proud of it, I had 06 450 loved how it looked just bought 2019 250 (gasser though) am absolutely in love with new trucks, hate the cameras though wish could use them all the time, like you showing the derringer though people talking about this big time in diesel world right now think your first to show real world numbers
Kazper413 Hey thanks man I appreciate it! Yeah I think I’m the first one to show it some real world situations. Hopefully I did a good job. Heard a few complaints that I talk too much. Lol. I’m still new at this!
@@workplaytv talking is information, keep it up man diesel world thanks you!!!
Kazper413 Thanks man. Again appreciate the support. Where you watching from?
Is this available for the 2016?
87national Shouid be same one since it’s the same 6.7 and 6 speed trans
They are working on it for them. It is not the same as what is for the 17+
How does that tuner affect your warranty or are you out of warranty? The rig looks awesome but that trailer looks way too long for cell tower work LOL
Full Tilt Grading Nan it doesn’t at all. If you unhook if they have no way of knowing it was ever there. Haha need the trailer to haul the machine and attachments buddy. Sometimes it’s tight getting in but ya make due.
Pretty sure the way banks sells this put it where you want . It will auto adjust because it talks with the pcm.
What do you mean ?
What rear end is in the 550's?
Brandon Taylor this one is 4.88 but you can get 4.44
Impressive! Arent they de-rated?
Brandon Taylor Yup
Good real world video of towing some serious weight up some serious hills! However I’m a little disappointed I didn’t see it screaming at 3500 rpm! 😁 LOL
Kevin Oakes Haha nope I must have been doing something wrong.
workplaytv can you do a video on the information the derringer shows about DPF load and show us what it displays while the truck is in regen?
Kevin Oakes Yup for sure
workplaytv will it adjust the speedometer for different tire sizes?
Kevin Oakes Inthink so but I need to figure that out
Yes want one of ur hats I will rock it but I will not say it's from a New England fan lmao
Alan Serge Hahaha email me your address workplaytv12@gmail.com. You have a normal or big head? Lol
If your not first your last
Andrew Andrew Shake and bake baby!
You didn’t give us any hydroaxing video. So disappointed. 😔
Next video has lots!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌
So you have a tree company
Dave Campbell Construction and GC. Vegetation Managment is just one thing I do
@@workplaytv looks like you do awesome work keep up the great videos
Dave Campbell Thanks man!
