Nice! I think our first inclination is to just throw stuff away. Looks awesome and it’s not in a landfill.

Thank you! I'm at Walmart trying to see how this paint looks. If it wasn't for videos like this I wouldn't have gotten the paint. Gratitude.

Probably true, but this is a fun easy project that saves an item from the landfill.

I have three outdoor lights I want to spray just like this. Super thanks for this video.
I wonder if I could simply leave the light attached to the wall, cover drop cloths entirely around the area, and spray the light fixture? Mine don't have any glass. They're like solid metal spotlights. All I need to do is make sure I don't spray the spot where the bulb attaches. I couldn't find this particular Rust-Oleum spray color at Home Depot. But, I found one by Behr if anyone wants another option. It's Behr Hammered: Burnished Amber (Gloss). Adheres to Wood, Metal, Plastic & More (as it says on the can).

I think it would be hard to mask all the glass and get good coverage. You can always give it a try.

@@fireflyracing It worked fine for one light, so far. Just two more to go. I had to cover really well with tape and drop cloths. The bad thing is I was out there on a windy day for one light. Uh, not a good idea, lol.

I thought rubbed oil bronze had copper peaking through in areas? That’s what my faucet looks like and my drawer pulls

There are some copper highlights that the camera doesn't pick up. If you wanted you could wipe some of the paint off in areas before it dries to show more gold.

This is the same color I used to paint my hinges in my home!
I'd like to paint my outdoor lighting fixtures the same. But before doing so, im curious...how is this painted lantern holding up over time???

I have done a few of these lights. They are all on the north side of my house, so the don't get a lot of sunlight. That said, so far they still look great.

Looks great. Next time instead of actually buying the paint. Get a el chapo can of flat black and paint but not 100% then once dry go over with scotch bright.
