- I'm an interior designer who enjoys sharing ideas. I've made a lot of changes to my home since this video; we had just moved in the previous month. The product I'm endorsing was purchased with my own money and this video is NOT a paid ad. My DIY projects turned out better than expected and I'm a satisfied customer who recommends this particular spray paint. It's a bit tough to see the final color in the video, but I promise, you should be able to see an oil-brushed bronze finish with metallic (copper) undertones in person.

Color and table looks very nice! May I suggest in your next spray painting project, using long continuous motion from either left to right or vice-versa for a smoother even looking finish. Painting the way you did in this video creates uneven coverage and potentially can cause runs in your work.
Thank you for your comment. I did do that as it was in the instructions. I'm a bit of a perfectionist (lol). At times it was difficult to hold the phone to record and spray paint. The final finish was even, smooth, and perfect. :)
Great job! I bought this spray paint and I've been using it on everything! Love it
That's great! I'm glad it's working out for you. I'm still enjoying my table with the spray painted legs. The color is still going strong. :)
i guess i have to sand …. but it’s worth it. Thank you 🙏🏻
Those were some very Nice FLESH COLORED Gloves you were wearing!😁😁😁
Nice video. I am thinking about painting my classic truck this color.
Thank you! That could be interesting. :)
Ive factory style two tone painted my 1993 Silverado this color with flat black and used gold pin striping to separate the colors and man oh man does it look sharp in the sun light and at night it has a black on black look
@@johnmyers6802 Wow! That sounds impressive. It's all about being creative and achieving unique, one-of-a-kind results.
Going to try this on an ornamental outdoor Soldier/Guard which a neighbour was going to toss after it fell and some pieces broke. I've done most of the "body" work to repair it and will then use this paint. Think it will work well.
That's great! Let me know how it turns out.
It's been a year-ish.
How does it look now?
@@theresamayton302 Embarrassed to say it hasn't happened yet; this Spring. Live in a cold winter climate and can't spray indoors.
Thank you! I'm ready to start the shower door frame.
That is great to hear! Let me know how it turns out. Good luck!
Hello. How did your shower door frame turn out? And how did the paint hold up. I’m just starting research, we move in to our new home Monday and all fixtures are gold! 🥺😭😭
Have you ever used this on cabinet hardware like hinges?
Thank you. Great job. Since you specify needing gloves you may want to wear them in future videos.
It was only to protect one's jewelry, which I forgot to mention in the video. Next time. :)
And thank you!
Does it have a copper color on the edges or does that require the copper paint color spray and then rubbed off a little bit?
Nice work! Would you say it looks more black or more bronze? I'm thinking of painting something with this but want it to look more black with a little bronze, not bronze with a little black if that makes sense lol.
Thank you for the question and sorry for the late reply ( I was fighting cancer for a year). It looks bronze. Take a look at the door handle I painted. Since it’s outdoors, you can appreciate the color better. :)
Thanks. Would you say the colour looks more dark grey than dark brown when dry?
No, it will look pretty much like oil-rubbed bronze. It's a nice finish. I promise.
Not grey. More on the brown spectrum, but specifically bronze. :)
Shirley Marcano Thanks. I went for a dark grey cast iron metal finish in the end. I didn’t want a brown finish.
Look black?
I've been searching for a spray paint I can use to recolor my Nintendo Switch Lite, does this work on plastics?
Did you spray that sadness away? or did it return with vengeance?
Looks good. How do you think that colour would look on wicker resin patio furniture?
May look good! I would try it on the bottom portion of the chair if it’s the same material and cover the other areas until further evaluation.
I’d like to paint shiny, chrome night stands brass? Can you give me suggestions on how to go about that? Never done this before. Thank you ☺️
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, I haven't tried painting things brass yet. Maybe you can use a metal white primer first and then paint/spray paint it brass. It would look pretty with glass knobs like the ones on this link I just looked up for you: www.build.com/hickory-hardware-hh74689/s1134453?uid=2723002&jmtest=gg-gbav2_2723002&inv=1&source=gg-gba-pla_2723002!c1046625535!a46835689610!dc!ng&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIifXCre2x6gIVk8DACh0dUgv8EAQYAiABEgJ69fD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
I hope that helps. :)
Can I spray paint an existing mantle?
I'm not certain, but as long as it's wood, it seems like you could. Try a small portion first and assess from there. I would read up on safety and to make sure it sustains the color if it's near a lit fireplace. Also, may need to prime the wood first so the color comes out the way you expect, but this step may not be needed.
Why would you recommend gloves, rag to wipe off dust, and a mask when you didn't use these?
The only thing I did not use were the gloves since it was only advised to protect one’s pricey jewelry, which I didn’t mention. Also, I definitely used a mask (and eyewear) to avoid the fumes. I don’t have a camera crew to get me on camera from all angles. Think about it...I was spray painting and filming with my phone’s camera just to help anyone who is interested in doing this. I only have two hands and was making a short video for the fun of it and to help. You’re welcome! :)
I bought and tried some of this... It looks like crap. It does not look oil rubbed. It's metallic. It should be flat and without metal flake. But whatever. I'll be looking for something else.
That's too bad. Mine turned out better than I expected. Don't give up. There are other products out there that will achieve the look you hope to accomplish. Good luck!
How can I paint knob on toilet tank which is small bronze
Will paint adhere to it
@@tonydecourcy4609 I'm a little late to this reply, but you should be able to paint the knob since this spray paint adheres to metal. Let me know how it turns out if you go for it.
"Oil rubbed bronze".. Somehow I really doubt that rubbing bronze with oil will give anything this fake look. It's a nice look, I'll admit to that much, but the name is just plain nonsense...kind of like my comment!
I agree. No idea why this color name is a thing.
@@theresamayton302 they should pay me to name colors..Ya think Turd bronze from the bronze age would fly?
Sounds fine to me.
what about those gloves you were talking about lol
The gloves were a suggestion to avoid getting spray paint on one's jewelry (ie. wedding rings, polished nails, etc), since it would stain these items permanently. :)
Maybe the worst spray technique I’ve ever seen.
Right 😖😖
