Fantastic! We would love to go to the Bahamas but that itinerary has never been available when we cruise (spring break with the kids) but Jason & I are thinking about branching off next year with an extra cruise and maybe we can head that way! We really enjoy making these videos and have fun with home videos too. I means a lot to us to get this kind of feedback!!! :)

Ahhh I've been obsessed with your cruise videos! I started with carnival freedom because that's what I'm taking this Christmas and I'm super excited. But the itinerary is the same as this cruise series, so I shall be fully prepared when I get there! :D

I agree should be pronounced KAY not KEY lol. Canada roads have signs like this /\/\ and I never could decide if the sign meant bump or dip. The way they do things in different places always amuses me.
We kept mispronouncing it and correcting each other. That road sign would confuse me too :) It is interesting to see how things are done in other countries!
I am enjoying all your videos of the Dream. My wife, myself, and my son who will be turning 21 in December will be taking this same itinerary on the Dream on December 24th. It will be our Christmas present and birthday celebration. Hopefully your videos will be completed before we take the cruise, LOL. Did you use Faster to the Fun and did you feel it was worth it? Thanks for your videos.
+Tom W55 so glad to hear you are enjoying the videos!!! Wow, a Christmas & birthday cruise will be great, I hear they really do it up for the holidays. They should be complete by then but may run slightly into January... we have a LOT of footage! No we do not use faster to the fun as we have two cabins so would have to buy x2. Those who use it rave about it but it is not worth the extra money for us. Happy cruising 🛳
We are on the Dream in November for our 2nd cruise! We too are going to Goffs Caye on a non-carnival excursion. I'm extremely nervous about the tender because we have never tendered before. Since we are novices at this, should we cancel and take a Carnival excursion or will the tour company get us back in time? We are going with Eco Tours. Thanks for any advice you might have for us! Wonderful videos!
+Kathy Donley-Strickler we do about half of our excursions outside of Carnival. As long as it is a reputable company you will be fine! They make their living taking cruisers on these tours so they know they have to take good care of you or they will get negative reviews and lose business. Just read their reviews (I like Trip Advisor) and these should ease your mind. We used a company called Island Marketing (I think this might actually be the same company as Eco Tours) and they did a great job! Goff's Caye is beautiful!

Is it better to book excursions outside of Carnival? We have a cruise coming up in December and I wanted to book a excursion but don't know how it works outside of Carinval
There are two major differences and you have to pick your poison: a). If you go with Carnival, the ship will not leave without getting that excursion group on the boat. b). If you go outside of Carnival, the price is cheaper, but you risk the boat leaving you. So you must make sure to get back to the boat prior to the boat beginning to prepare for departing the site. I have been on the Triumph and they offer excursions that did not fill at 1/2 price the day before the excursion takes place. Be aware that the popular excursions will sell out quickly.

We have done both and have had good experiences both ways... We always look at the Carnival excursions first because they are guaranteed. But if there is something we want to do that is not offered by Carnival then we make sure we find a reputable company to book through. My greatest recommendation is that if you book outside of the cruise line, do your research! We always book online ahead of the cruise so we know what we are doing when we pull into port.

It was just amazing how small and how beautiful Goff's Caye was!!!
What tour company did you use in Belize?
We used Island Marketing. If you Google 'Goff's Caye excursion', they should be the first one to come up. It was a great experience!

I keep reading that Belize isn’t the safest. Can you give me your insight as someone who’s been there?
As long as you take an organized excursion you will be fine! We went on a bus through Belize City and into the rainforest and felt completely safe. You just don't want to leave the port area to explore on your own!
