- We're fresh off of our Disney World adventures, and now we're rolling on to a 7-day cruise aboard the Carnival Magic out of Port Canaveral, headed to Cozumel, Belize, Mahogany Bay, and Costa Maya! We cruised from November 11-18, 2017. In this episode, we schedule an excursion throuh Carnival called "Altun Ha Mayan Site & River Wallace" where we'll tour a Mayan ruins site, then head out on a river wildlife safari... :D

Omg y’all! This vlog is sooo good! I never really wanted to go Belize 🇧🇿 until now. I am loving the new paromanics! This might be your best vlog series and I think it’s because of the booze 😉
I'm glad we finally got to go ashore and see some things! Last go-round, we snorkeled, which was awesome... but we didn't make it over to Belize proper. Pretty fun, but they do advise you take only approved tours because certain areas can get a little sketchy if you just go wandering willy nilly outside the port area I guess!

That river tour looks like the swamp tours we have in New Orleans. It looks like you had a better time in Belize than we did. We have been there 4 times and NEVER want to go back. Of all the Caribbean Islands we have been, Belize is the dirtiest and most drug infested. But, by the looks of your vlog, you didn't have the problem of the drug pushers. For that I am thankful.
No, the tour was very much get-you-there, keep-you-in-safe-area, get-you-somewhere-else, with no straggling or wandering around aimlessly. So we got the experience semi-protected Belize, I guess. This was our first time in Belize City proper, and we wouldn't mind going back, but we don't have it on any future itineraries at the moment.
I want my money back for that tour. Jay you’re funny,😂

Wow .. so I searched for the excursion Altun Ha and River Cruise because somehow we booked it months ago and look what I find lol my favorite vloggers lol lol .. I actually thought we booked something else..
We gave that one a try in Belize because it was the shortest drive to a ruins that we could find. Some of them were hours and hours away! We really enjoyed that one though, but we wish the weather had been a little clearer. Ah well!!

I did the river boat tour in Belize in 2002 and I think the Belize Zoo. That was the last time I was in Belize on the Celebrity Galaxy, which I think is Mein Schiff now. And I'm guessing the music trivia was 1 hit wonders.
Oh nice! We’ve got Belize coming up again in September and haven’t quite decided what we want to do this time around. And yep, it probably was one hit wonders... love that one!! :P

You said you were cruising around New Years? From what I hear, Dr. E is slated to move to the Pride around June, but I don't know for how long or what he may do after that. Here's hoping!!
That's the "Sun God" temple. I stayed on the ground for that one. Stating this 11/2/21.
We did this same excursion on our 2014 Liberty cruise. It was a long day.
We had a fun day, but holy moly those stairs at the ruins were crazy!! We could've done without the rain, but still a nice excursion overall. :D
Nice vlog again! I thought the "demon" towel animal might have been a sloth? What do you think? We liked Belize and visited an orphanage once and Goff's Caye the second time we went. My hubby doesn't want to see the ruins, but they look like a nice vantage once you get to the top!
Oooh, a sloth? Maybe! That didn't even cross my mind... We've heard great things about Goff's Caye so we may have to check that out sometime. On our January 2017 Carnival Pride adventure out of Tampa, we won a snorkeling excursion via a ship raffle to a little island in Belize that looked remarkably like Goff's but apparently wasn't, ha ha... it was super nice though!!
Hey it's me your new best friend Blair. oh my God this is really incredible, I am like so excited. Great minds really do think alike because we are going to be doing this very same exact Excursion. I hope I said that right anyway this is what we are doing when we go to Belize in September on our 7-Day Western Caribbean cruise. So it was really awesome to see exactly what our Excursion is going to be like, so cool like I said, so cool. I said that well one more time won't hurt, so cool. Anyway I am enjoying all of your videos because wait for it it's so cool okay that part!*🛳️⚓💙
Glad you're enjoying our random craziness, ha ha... We really liked the Altun Ha excursion because it was the closest Mayan ruins, which meant the shortest bus ride over, but you can also climb the thing! Some places don't let you do that, from what I've heard. Such a cool experience overall. We could have used less rain on the boat ride part, but it was a really fun day!!

We usually try to buy a little something local wherever we go. We've picked up handmade jewelry, souvenirs, maybe even hot sauces and jams and such in the past. But sometimes when the vendors all hit you at once, it's a little overwhelming!! :P

Starting with our Fascination series and everything since, we’ve used the Canon G7X Mark II. This Magic cruise was still slightly during our learning curve as we had just bought the camera, ha ha... but we could still tell a drastic difference over our old iPhone vlogs... :P
