    Surprised to see no comments, I bought my first SXS this year and burnt my belt in the sand pit. I used your video to step by step change it. A LIFE SAVER !! Thank you for this upload that beat the meowing cats big time !!!!

    Good video. I blew my belt because i like to go sideways in 2 wheel drive on the sand (bad idea). I got paddle tires on the back and only run 4 wheel drive. The belt has lasted a long time.

    Why is it necessary to mark an "X" on the cover before removing? What happens if it's 180 degrees off? How can I be sure mine is on correct?

    Okay I'm putting it back together and of course I already had it taken apart before you mentioned the longer bolts and shorter bolts that I didn't even recognize now where do the long bolts go you don't happen to remember do you?

      This is not for you (2 year old post), If anyone else was wondering. The long bolts go where the brackets are doubled up. (air filter and the bracket for the clutch vent.

    Got a 13 wildcat and seems when it heats up good starts loosing power. Lost all the way down to where wide open was like 15 mph. Changed plug, ran good for a bit then did it again. After cooling runs fine til it heats up. Any ideas. Awesome vid buddy

    I'm sold. Not getting one of these! Way too much to just access a belt.

    I think I ruined my belt but I don’t understand why oil leaked out of the casing.

    Pieces of the belt you say in the exhaust? Intake? why? this makes no sense to me.

    • @Anonymous-uno
      @Anonymous-uno Před 3 lety +1

      The clutch has air intake and exhaust for air flow to try to keep it cool.

    Think I'm just gonna get a Yxz 1000r Yamaha. They are not belt driven. Everyone I know that owns a Polaris or a Wildcat are sick of these belts. It's expensive and time consuming to have to change belts Everytime the temp goes up.

      the problem is people are running them in High gear in the sand or mud. In the owners manual it tells you, if you are running on anything other than hard packed dirt or pavement you should be in Low gear. This is b/c the belt works less and has better cooling in Low gear.
