    Compared to the DJM-900NXS2 the price is in my opinion very good! You are getting 80-85% of the new cool features for half the price

    • @74Cheshire
      @74Cheshire Před 5 lety

      Yeah, exactly... To be honest, price is why this unit appealed. It's basically a good modern Pioneer 4-channel mixer, but more affordable than the other models.

  • @MrDjanotomus
    @MrDjanotomus Před 4 lety +2

    Well put together overview video! I use the 900NXS all the time and the 750MK2 is perfect for home but works well at gigs too. Missing a couple FX, balance, RCA options and it feels more "plastic" than the 900NXS. The essentials are available. The sliders and knobs also feel different, firmer rotating knobs, lighter slider but these are things you adapt too. These will hold market value and operate as the club industry standard. It allows you the option to buy a brand new mixer, for the price of used higher ones. We'll see as time goes on, but so far so good!

    XDJ 1000 MK2 added digital inputs, and was presented as the stand alone unit for home use. Then this mixer comes out, also presented for home use...but no digital inputs? I would have bought this mixer on day 1 to go with my 1000s if it weren’t for the missing digital inputs. You have to wonder what in the hell Pioneer is thinking sometimes.

    I just realized it doesn't have digital inputs, which in this day & age, especially for a mixer this price point is bizarre. You want to have the best quality possible, especially between separate units. & Also they are digital mixers anyway. Analogue RCA needs to be there still for turntables & digi vinyl set ups but most stuff today is digital & comes with such an output.

    No master balance? Whats up with that? I love using that in a mix! Sounds great on surround sound or headphones with the music going from side to side! Every other 4 channel Pioneer mixer up til this has had it :-(

    Hey Joe, thanks for the review.
    I have a question: When I plug this mixer into my laptop (and also to a turntable at the same time), I want to play & mix both the digital files in my laptop and the records on the turntable. Can I do this? And if yes, can I also record the mixed output (coming from the turntable and the laptop) back to my laptop?

    • @digitaldjtips
      @digitaldjtips  Před 4 lety

      Yes you can, just by using the input switches at the top of each channel :) you can record if you use the Rec function of Rekordbox DJ.

    I am in the middle of a major decision, I play at home so I want the best value. I have an xdj xz and I am looking for a separate set-up, at the moment top of the list is Denon sc6000 and the 750 mk2, great value all around. What is your view and do you have any other suggestions? cheers and great review.

    • @digitaldjtips
      @digitaldjtips  Před 3 lety +2

      My big question would be, why? If you're only playing at home and concerned about value why spend more money on top of the XZ purchase when it's everything you need to DJ and will last for years?

    QUESTION: Does this device allow you to use the USB port to put in a USB Drive and record right out of it. On the 450 unit you can throw in a USB and record direct from the mixer. Do you know if that is possible with this unit?

    • @digitaldjtips

      No, I am afraid I do not know the answer to that, sorry.

    • @MrYakubov
      @MrYakubov Před 4 lety

      Pioneer promotes a paid mobile app, DJM-REC, that allows recording and streaming using USB port on the mixer.
      The feature you are talking about (direct recording onto USB drive) is only supported on DJM-350 and XDJ All-in-Ones.

      You don't get the DJ Link port in the back, so that means you can't network it with a set of CDJ-NXS players :) You're also missing out on the twin USB ports for back to back laptop DJ performances or switchovers
