Legit don’t know any youtuber who gives a better review or is a more certified driver, always on point 👌🏼
I love my Evora here in the states.. I looked at Mercedes amg gt... Porsche 911 and they were about 5k more or so each and neither gives you the enjoyment of the looks you get from this car. You come out at the gas station and people are taking pics of the car etc and they want to talk to you about the car etc.. it's so damn beautiful and then the handling comes in... Yikes.... Best bang for your buck for an entry level exotic! Thanks
So, the 400 was discontinued a while back. The modern equivalent (the GT410) you'd actually be looking at more like 90K - and you're right, it is just too much.
Heel and toe does take a lot of time to get used to. It is how they mapped the throttle to get through emissions.
And yes, they do go wrong:)
I see!
£90k is a big chunk of cash for one of these, and they do go wrong?....
Not being able to heel and toe in this is a massive disappointment, but I’m sure a software tweak would soon change that.
@@SidNorth I have a 2018 car, which I paid £73k for un-registered with options. Can absolutely heel and toe in it - just needs a bit more of a shove of the pedal than you expect.
Not had any issues with mine, but watched JayEmm's videos extensively before buying and they convinced me to get a new one rather than an early, low mileage, second hand example.
@@SidNorth the Toyota gearboxes tend to have a few issues requiring the engine out for a replacement!
26,000 effortless worry free miles on mine.. I'll let you know when "something" goes wrong.. they might be a bit pricey.. But a 2010 Evora has held 60% of its value here in the states.. A hell of a lot better then an equally priced porker.. and the low maintenance cost of the Toyota drive train... Its a very smart move financially as a sports car. You can't find anything in that price range that is that low cost to drive after depreciation and maintenance.. period..
Great review.. you've got a new subscriber! And don't forget to mention how well the Evora hold its value.. 2010 cars here in the US still selling for 40k . They were 70k new
stumbled on this channel by accident , Sid is charismatic and can drive .Amazing content , !!!!
The real new NSX
Love to see you drive an Exige 410 or 430.
Sounds great and great to see another lotus video and keep up the great content
Thanks
Next vid is the new car 😎🔥
@@SidNorth can't wait to see it
Nice one Sid. Can you get your hands on an Exige? Or a GT430 Evora? Maybe a lotus dealer would let you have one. Cheers, Oliver.
Love this! Love Lotus and I love stuff that's different. Although these are the same indicator stalks I had in my Fiesta! You would expect a bit more for 70k... But it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.
And the exige's rover wing mirrors. If they do the job why change them I guess
I want one!
Got ...a 350 here in france.....
And I love it. According to me it s a great car !!!!
It cost me 50 000 €.....I DO NOT REGRET ANY CENT...
What camera do you use?
Amazing video
They sound great
How old are you Sid? Have to say I don't know how much pre plan you put into reviews but you're incredibly strong in this regard. Ricky makes some great exciting content, great modded cars but in pure reviews you have that down. Makes me think of a super young harry :-). As I often see mentioned, Audio. Go talk or phone someone about it. Ask another youtuber. Email a production company. Can't be that hard, different mic, different mic cover. Post production - I don't know but it won't be rocket science. You deliver great narrative so seems worth it. Ricky only has to say "f***kin hell boy" :-)
23 and I don’t plan anything. I just jump in the car and drive!
I will try and figure it out!
@@SidNorth clearly a natural orator. So how did you become to knowledgeable and experienced in driving such exotic cars? Make sure you stick with it!
I would like to see you do a comparison between this and the Jaguar F Type V6 s...... Can you make it happen....?
I traded in a convertible jag XKR for the lotus Evora and haven't looked back. i love the look of the F type , but i have a small kid and he and his car seat gets to ride along at times so the ftype was out
@Christian Pickering
Try this JayEmm video: czcams.com/video/FDw7F79VF3Y/video.html
The jaguar weighs a thousand lbs more... there is no comparison
@@EvoraGT430 thanks for sharing that, so basically if you want a lighter and not as wide car and more of a racing car driving experience go for Evora, if you want something that is quick enough and not so cramped inside for average larger bloke like myself then go for the F Type. Haha
I was in PS4 party with you before that’s how I found out about you 💯
Small world 😂
It was with dan and Tyler
He is legit the best driver on CZcams
Zig zag hill Shaftesbury
Looking good Sid, think it sounds almost as good as a 911 though!! Just saying!
It sounds way better
It depends on which 911
It is no GT3. That has to be said!
@@reversecamber177 you need to watch the gt3 vs evora 430 video on youtube.. with 100 less hp, the evora hangs with the gt3.. Now wait til there's a 500hp evora.. Bye bye gt3
Better. All the German cars seem so muted now. Often with faked noise :/
This will wake the neighbourhood up with the stock exhaust. How they got it through EU noise regs I don't know :P
More sideways please Sid. You didn't really drive this hard at all.
Unless you have a second car while this one is in the shop, then no its not worth it

First 😜
:D
Funny :) Sid - so glad you've finally got contact lenses (looking forward to the new car video)
You lemon 😂😂
👍👍👍👍
Would you buy this or a GTR, no competition for the GTR.
Keith Whitty - the GTR is great but it weighs nearly half a tonne more than the 400. I can see why someone would prefer a GTR but for me it wasn’t even a car I considered when I bought my Evora
@@DizzleTizzle83 I love Lotus and agree wholly on the weight thing but 70K is the question and the GTR has back seats a huge boot and lots of speakers. That's why The GTR wins hands down. You can also tune it to 2000bhp if you have the money 😜👌
I can’t argue with 2000bhp!
@Pete Stuff Yeah I get it, but still 70K get and else if you want lightweight and fun or I'd do the Cayman.
Keith Whitty Caymans are great too but I found the normal models a bit boring (I’m talking 981 rather than the crappy new turbo ones - Sid’s recent review of the 718 T sums those cars up for me!).. needs to be a gts or gt4 to compete with the the lotus. The new 4.0 GTS is going to be a great car
In my opinion no Lotus should be this cost. I had an Exige 410 and it cost 85k and the build quality is terrible, it rattles, leaked, the stereo worked when it wanted the list goes on. The dealer I purchased mine from did not want to support any rejection they only wanted to repair and the dealer principle is now threatening to take me to court over a few bad reviews I have left and even after trying to sort things amicably he is still threatening to take legal action on me and Lotus themselves had no interest in any issues I had with the car, The car has now gone after I won a rejection and I have received a refund but it took me a year. From my personal experience I would say don’t buy one, the dealer I purchased mine from are not part of the motor ombudsman so your only fall back would be the finance company if anything was to go wrong. There is a reason why this brand sells very little in the way of cars. Save yourself some heartache and hassle and buy from a well-known brand rather than a brand who thinks they are up there.
Which dealer are you referring to.
@@davewheeler7679 I will keep that to myself at the moment but the details will come out eventually. As it stands my car is in the garage where it has not been used in over a year due to an AA report advising me not to use it, the issues I had was that it was throwing black smoke out and cutting out. When I told the dealer principle he sent me an email why he was on holiday telling me to enjoy my fault free Lotus even though he knew of the issues with it. Needless to say the car will be going back very soon and I will be getting a full refund but the dealer did not want to know nor did Lotus. I have no idea what I was thinking to ever buy into this brand.
What on earth could cause such a bomb-proof engine to throw out black smoke? Genuinely interested.

Lotus are usually really good. I've not had issues with them :/
