Very nicely done, Sir, great video!
Here's some advice to every Elise owner reading the comments - NEVER SELL. It's honestly something you never get over, those things become a part of you. :(

Well done. I have a 2006 Elise and everything you noted resonates as true.
I live in the US Mid West and most people in my area don't know what the car is - I have only seen 2 here since it was introduced, one was at a car show.
I often let "car guys" drive my car to experience it. Most come away with the same opinion that it is one of the most pure, best handling cars they have driven making, some of their BMWs and Porsches feel numb and heavy by comparison.
I am 63, but still able to get in and out of my Elise without too much difficulty. Actually, it seems similar to my 1963 Jaguar XKE which also has a low and wide sill at the entry. That car has trained me over the last 40 years to do a bended entry and blind drop into the seat, so the Elise seems familiar. Plan to drive both as long as I can get in and out of them.
Enjoy your Elise and good luck with your channel !

@@patrickrenaut2754 Hopefully we can both keep driving our cars for many years to come ! My post was over a year old when you replied. I also will be 65 in a few months and still loving my Elise and hoping to drive it for whatever time I have left.
The Fall leaf color changes are almost complete here in the midwest. My wife and I have had some great spirited drives on local hilly/curvy roads looking at the changing leaves the last few weeks. Once again the car has amplified the experience and made the annual event even more enjoyable.
Keep the shiny side up and greasy side down, and let her rip Patrick !

I remember when the designer of the S2 Elise was shown in his design studio he
brought in his own Ferrari Dino from the 70's. He then used that car as the base
for his design. When I first got my 05 Elise I parked it next to a Dino and, up close,
you can see how much of it's design is in the DNA of the Elise.

Really nice video. Had an S1 with the tramps hat roof years ago. Could never afford a hard top for it. Now I have an S2, last of the long tails. This one is topped off with a rather expensive, but brilliant hard top. Hand made by Eliseparts. Looks better. When out in mine if I see a Lotus I always try to wave or give them a flash. Its knowing that they were prepared to take the plunge. Have got the same bloody rattles, and yet still have the same stupid smile on their face as you have. There will never be another Elise.

Nice video, a new sound every day resonated with me. Looked for weeks after a nasty occasional rattle in my 2010 Elise S2 CR when she was hot at very specific revs; finally found out it was a loose airco tube under the passenger door. No major issues after 11 year from new ownership and 60.000 miles. Ideal car to drive from home to home in the most curvious detour.

Excellent video. I have just put a deposit on almost the exact same car, except silver wheels. I may have an issue with the aircon. But the way I see it is that it’s not essential in a car like this. It would be nice but not a deal breaker.

Piece of advice when buying an Elise. Ask if it has neen modified in any way and if possible get one that is completely original. My first one was totally reliable and completely original. Second one was fully modified and broke down three times in 3 years, many thousands spent until now its really great.
