Everyone cracks a little racist joke every now and then in a harmless way and there is nothing wrong with it. It seems there’s one rule for us black and asians where we can get away with it and another rule for whites, who can get themselves in trouble in a work or an academic environment. I think it’s unfair how society brands a white person a racist or he/she gets in trouble just for a little bit of banta, where as an Asian person will get away making the same joke. I think lefty bent politically correct politicians should tone it down a little bit, and the so called race card playing asians should also stop being hypocrites. If the world carries on like this then it will become one dry boring place.
The thing is Little Britain and Come Fly with Me tried their best to portray all stereotypes not just black ones. Look at Tommy the fast food worker in CFWM for example, should people be outraged at him? The blackface has unfortunately been used as a form of discrimination and hate in the past but in this instance was never meant maliciously but to poke fun at everyone. If only some people can be mocked in the media, that’s *NOT* equality.
Badman Steve You can mock black people, you just can’t do blackface because of its history. You could tell all of the same jokes using a black woman, you could tell all of the same jokes without putting on blackface and just doing the same carribean accent. If her race isn’t the punchline, why bother doing blackface?
William Scott well is there the same reaction when they put make up on to look old, female, Arabic or fat? Clearly they dressed up to look like all of their characters, not in a malicious way again, too better portray them. So why can they not do that when playing a black person in a not racially motivated or hateful way? Look at their intentions as much as you look at their actions and realise that they’re not racist but their actions have been misrepresented as racist. Furthermore being the two leading comics of the show, it would make sense that they play all of the leading recurring characters like Precious rather than someone else.
Badman Steve precisely, it would be unfounded to single out anything that pokes fun of black people. No one ever mentions the Arabic slave trade which was far worse and no one has a problem when people of other colours experience racism such as myself, I haven’t got a problem with little Britain, I laugh when the Indian lady in fat fighters can’t be understood because I know it’s a joke, the actor knows it’s a joke. It’s making fun of the people who are a bit racist in real life and fooling them.
(As a white male, with all my privilege) I personally think that nothing should be off-limits in good-humoured comedy. The original blackface was horrendously offensive because it ridiculed black facial features and personalities, but this is just a black character - the only thing that's OTT is her lust for life (and Jesus). The show isn't claiming all black people are like this - all figures in comedy are based on real people, so this is probably just someone that Lucas and Walliams wanted to honour in their show. South Park had it right - ridicule everyone, so long as it is everyone and nobody is singled out!
Same with me. I’m disabled and I got more angry when I heard people on the news saying ‘This is offensive to people in minority groups like disabled people and black people’ than I ever did with the show, when the person saying it isn’t disabled or black. But likewise many segregationists, of all people, were against it at well because they didn't like white people to be exposed to *any* aspect of black culture at all. Because it should also be noted that African American's frequently constituted a large portion of the audience, a fact that has often puzzled researchers and does not neatly fit with today's agenda of it being a purely evil conception. Fact is, many people found it funny and relatable to their own experiences. A fundamental aspect of all comedy to this day. Not to be taking for pure gospel, but to be laughed at. Naturally taste is subjective and many people of all sorts found it distasteful. Though primarily among the snobs of the world. Nothing strange there either. It's also easy to overstate the harshness of the stereotypes by today's standards. The world was harsh place everywhere and people led hard lives, this always gets reflected in their entertainment and was true for everything, not just black face. Just take a look at the horror show that is historical German bed time stories xD Black face and minstrelsy didn't just involve black stereotypes either, no immigrant or different culture was spared, including said Germans. There were also groups of African Americans. This got a foot in the door and eventually this is how perception was changed. This is apparently how us naked monkeys work best, we see something strange and new and are initially shocked. Then we emphasize the differences as stereotypes, laugh about it, find a common ground and get over it. Going back to those opposing segregationists, this is what they feared. That prolonged exposure would eventually lead to common ground and mutual integration. Censor everything and you'll have nice laws, but will have actually let them win on all fronts where it actually matters in daily life. Now obviously many very bad things have been done by a lot of people throughout history. Likewise numerous portrayals will have been made with bad intent or for political gain on either side. Politicians naturally being the scum of the earth. But banning stuff is rarely the answer. Open conversation is, but seeing as most people prefer comedy over day long political debate, comedy is key. The apes that can laugh together can live together. ;)
Shame we’ve lost the ability to laugh at and with each other. Our cultural differences can be empowering, hilarious and affirmative without being something to find offence in or be ashamed of.

The world was harsh place everywhere and people led hard lives, this always gets reflected in their entertainment and was true for everything, not just black face. Just take a look at the horror show that is historical German bed time stories xD
Black face and minstrelsy didn't just involve black stereotypes either, no immigrant or different culture was spared, including said Germans.
They don't make great sitcoms like this anymore. I loved and laughed hard at every episode.
Coffee Hut is nearly always closed.

The world is changing only for the worst.
That’s looking on the bright side

If we took the Micky out of the Scottish or the welsh people, they won’t batter an eyelid
Well at least your cynical pessimistic outlook on life will look better in comparison
@@alihussain5272 trust me if they started their so called bunter on you as a muslim, you'll not like it. Some white jokes are beyond jokes and border on bullish behaviour which could seriously affect you.
She's always having to close early 😂😂😂😂😂
She's not called "Precious Little" for nothing, as that's the amount of work she does.
May the Lord smite thee down
It’s so sad, what 2020 is bringing us, my friend who is a Black man, absolutely loves this Show and Little Britain. I think everyone just had a different taste, I guess they are just trying their best to ruin it completely for everybody.
Pack it up boys. This guy has a black friend who says it's fine, therefore it's not racist.
Totally agree mate! My old school friend (Moroccan Muslim) recently posted "RIP Taaj" - it was his favourite character and coming from a BAME community he didn't see anything racist with the show. If anything it mocks racism with their character Ian Foot. Scary times right now with a very loud left wing minority seeming to rule.
@@heypeople6877 Happy to discuss if you feel offended...
Yolanda J shut up seriously shut up
Yolanda J When you’re to lazy to type ‘Your’
This is not racist. This is comedy. 2020 and people have become ultra sensitive.
I knoowwww 🤮🤮🤮
Things can be two things.
From what I can see it's not even black people that are upset about it. Just young, mostly white SJWs who's full time occupation is finding things to be offended by.
@@soundseeker63 100% agree with you 👍
@@soundseeker63 People of all races can be offended by racism. Is this really new to you?
Hilarious. It's a shame that the BBC and Netflix stopped showing it.
It actually offended me that they did... to please the minority.
Interesting accent, I detected Zimbabwean, Jamaican and Irish in there. A well-travelled lady.
Actually go to London. I know lots of black older women that go to church that speak just like that.. believe it or not it's true... No Irish sound in that accent . Well done trying to be funny but I'd say that was an epic fail... Unlike this clip which is hilarious
I think she's jamaican
praying 4 Precious♥
"Who would do such a thing? Well anyway...."
Brilliant comedy produced, paid for, and distrubuted by the woke bbc. Praise the lord
Bring this back :(
Precious had her priorities straight.
May the Lord smite thee down 😂😂😂😂
Lol 2:46 little precious plans has gone to the trash, pray the lord for the 2x1 tickets offer!
Plumber: I fixed it!
Precious: what?
🤣🤣🤣
Imagine how many people would be offended if this was released today.
@chris murphy the only gay in the village
that is not black face !!! that is a whole black personality with perfection !!! I love it
Probably the same amount that seem to be offended by people getting offended....the anti-woke brigade is fast becoming as bad as the woke brigade.....just enjoy the video and stop all of the above..jeez..🙄😂
This is really good 👍
Wie geil!
Favourite show.. all good things has to end unfortunately. 😄
Imagine this being released today. Heck, I don't know how it is still on youtube ...
CZcams don't monitor every single video uploaded, they just use a robot to match it against anything disgusting or gore
Tv gold! Precious should have had her own tv show.Is this where comedy ended?
Oh man I MISS Come Fly With Me!!
This was funniest fucking TV show ever!!
Totally agree. I'm a white gay guy, not offended by Daffid or any other character. David Walliams said in a DVD comment Lil Brit makes fun of 'everyone' no matter who or what you are. They aren't discriminating at all if all races, sex...etc...are included in their shows, which they are :)
This is the person the runs the Mcdonalds Mflurry machine
soooo funny ,wish they would bring it back
Managed to get it on dvd on ebay. I'll probably get other comedies on dvd before they all get banned, which they will
Already bought a Catherine Tate show box set, that will be gone as well probably
@@harryfoley2294 I think the Catherine Tate show is on Stan
@@MajesticJoey yeah they recently started bringing it all back, little Britain is on I player I believe
This is funny as fk
"Mey the lords might the down" LOL
You would do such a thing Precious LOL
Fellow people join me playing the violin one last time before this ship sinks forever 🎻🎻
It's become a witch hunt!
It is just a light hearted sketch, it is not racist merely because someone of African descent is impersonated, putting on accents is just the same, it's just something done in comedy or drama, blackface for this purpose just isn't racist, this show and Little Britain should be restored officially by the BBC!
Brilliant 😂😂
I'm gonna keep on watching this before it gets taken off 😩😢
Can’t find it on Netflix anymore or even to buy it on CZcams, unless you want to spend £60 on a DVD
George you can go on dailymotion and get all 6 episodes there
It looks like someone and I don't who has found this offensive and has removed this show. Who would do such a thing?
This is hilarious!!!!!
For the love of little baby Jesus... What has happened to us people. Demolition man...
I'm offended by the offended.
Just as well I bought the complete series DVD last year...the world's gone mad
Matt Lucas was brilliant he clearly done his research I was not offended at all.
Man 2000’s TV was off the rails. I miss real comedy so much.
Listen I’m a black man and I love this shit I don’t find it offensive David was bang on as well with the precious character very authentic I know a few elderly Caribbean women that dont want to work hard anymore very laid back haha this is genius forget all that blackface stuff this isn’t offensive at all
Funny thing is that majority of the black people don’t find this racist. It’s the while crybabies that want to play PC police. They made equally fun of everyone. And to point out the stereotypes (me for instance didn’t even know that Caribbean women don’t like to work).
blackappleslo it’s not that they don’t like to work but when they are elderly they have a laid back approach
I completely agree
