Get the pan to hi heat and leave it on hi heat for 3-5 mins Add avocado oil and let it get super hot Add the steak 2:00min cook time on each side, remove the steak Reduce flame on pan to low Add 2 cloves of garlic Add 2-3 tablespoons of butter, let butter simmer til it begins to foam Add steak again, base for 2 mins Take out steak and add thyme Flip steak and base again for 2 more mins, take it off and let sit for 5-6 mins and you’ll have a perfectly cooked steak
after searing, cook until 120 degrees for rare and cook to around 125 for medium rare. I can't give you a time because it varies based on the starting internal temp on the meat, and the thickness of the cut, so it's best to just use a digital thermometer for accurate timing. After muscle memory and experience, you can have a better intuition on how done it is based on feel testing and just observing general indicators as you're cooking from pattern recognition
Also it depends on what you preheat the oven to after searing. You have to factor in the things I previously mentioned + the internal oven temp. Typically, it should range from 200- 350 degrees, favoring the former metric
Serious question. Everybody throws in Rosemary/thyme for the last 2 minutes of basting. Do you really think you get any flavor from that leaf sitting next to your steak for a couple minutes?
@@suntzu5738 like mitt cooking gloves? I don't think so, it depend what type of gloves tbh😂 but I'd rather have something protecting my hands then go in bare when messing with oil. Shit ain't worth getting like a 2nd degree burn
Try perfect crust on the outside, and perfect medium rare inside. Only thing is with that hard of a sear, I wouldn’t use pepper in the beginning as it will burn and not taste great. Salt is really all you need.
I was worried at first.... but that looks perfect to me. Nice and pink with a deliciously flavored crust!!
Bro you just nailed that steak, earned a like from me
Perfection.
About time!!! The perfect amount of pink!! Not bleeding profusely and not over cooked either!! Bravo!!!!🙌😍

Сколько по времени жарить? Сколько в общем уходит на жарку от и до?
Nobody ever mentions how long to cook after searing.
after searing, cook until 120 degrees for rare and cook to around 125 for medium rare. How many minutes for this pink
Still don’t know how long to cook on each side
2 minutes. After that you let it rest in the oven for about 8 minutes at 220 degrees celsius...
@@martinbauer800filet is flavorless
@Ali-fo4uv he is WAYYY off... only time you do a filet in the oven is if it's very thick, like more than 2" thick. Otherwise you can do it in a pan
@@Ali-fo4uv Is it really? I was debating on buying one and trying one out. I’ve had a New York and Ribeye so far but that’s about it

Why does everyone fry steaks. Member when we used to grill them . Putting rosemary and tyme allover everything with butter? No faith in your beef
You're right, bro. That's how it's done. I'd never put a fillet in a pan.

Serious question. Everybody throws in Rosemary/thyme for the last 2 minutes of basting. Do you really think you get any flavor from that leaf sitting next to your steak for a couple minutes?
It does, the warm butter helps extract all the flavor from the rosemary and garlic then u baste it. Im stating the obvious, stupid question.

How can that be perfect without being seasoned with salt first, and not at the end?
