Wonderful explain sir 🙏
Thank you so much for your fantastic mock tests!
By the way, would you mind helping me with something?
I wonder which overall Speaking band would I get if I get 8, 8, 8, 7 for the 4 criteria of The Speaking Test?
Thanks in advance!
I can see it clearly here that IELTS is not just a test for showing how you talk like a native English speaker, but for performing how you control the language well.
That's kind of true
Good
I think Thalia is a thinker, including me. When someone asks questions we thinkers tend to think longer than just start talking. The reason is we think hard when no ones around. Not used to explain our mind to others. Thalia good job.
Thanks IELTS Daily ❤️ keep up the great work
Thanks for the feedback Cactus, glad you and so many others like it. I agree, she did really well.
Me too!
I had my speaking test today and it was pretty good .As much as I can remember the questions were as the following :
Part (1):
• Do you work or study ?
• How do you spend your time at your workplace ?
• What technology do you use to help you in your work ?
• Do you like looking at the sky ?
• Can you see the stars and the moon from where you live ?
• Did you learn about the stars and planets at school ?
• How do you travel ?/ How do you prefer to travel ? Why ?
• Did you go on a long journey by car ?
• Do you prefer sitting in the front or in the back of the car ?
• Would you like to travel to other planets in the future ? Why ?
Part (2)
• Describe an activity near or in the sea you would like to try .
• What activity it is.
• What you need to do this activity .
• How would you feel about this activity .
Part (3)
• Why do people go to the seaside ?
*What benefits do they get from the seaside ?
• Do you think they can relax when they go to the beach ? How ?
• Do you think that younger people prefer experiencing new water sports more than the elder ?
• Do you think that children enjoy going to the beach ?
• How can humans save the environment from global warming ?
• How are animals affected by global warming ?
• In what ways can people help save marine ecology from environmental crisis ?
This is AMAZING. Thanks for sharing
@@IELTSDaily With pleasure. Today I took the rest of the test . It was good .
@@Lara_TheSTAR Which writing questions did you get?
@@IELTSDaily People are eating fast food nowadays. Some people say that fast food has bad effects on health and lifestyle . Do you agree or not . Give examples from your experience and knowledge.
@@Lara_TheSTAR Thanks for sharing. A lot of recent test takers reported they also got this question.
I like both Chris and Jackson. Both of them explain things perfectly in their own way.
I've learnt a lot from your video. Mr. Jackson is great, he seems to be pretty competent and gave accurate and laconic feedbacks. My respect!
It's good that you were able to learn so much from the video. Thanks very much!
I really love the way Jackson has explained in detail. We can notice easily looking at the length of the video.
Thanks 👍🏼😊
These videos always gives so much confidence , love watching the videos here a day before my exam date. Really helps.
That's our pleasure Jo. Glad you enjoy them.
Just wanted to say thank you. I got an 8 in my speaking test this week, all thanks to your mock exam videos. 😊
That is absolutely wonderful. You don't need to thank us...you did all the hard work.
hi may I ask a question? I got 7.5 from the speaking portion a month ago and I will take the exam 5 days later but I feel like I will stay in the same band. What is your your recommendation? did you use fancy words or were you just natural, etc? at this moment everything will help me so thanks in advance
@@hilalkorkmaz9363 hey! I prefer to speak naturally, but I memorized some fancy phrases for common things (like for good, bad, a lot, a little, etc.) To use here and there. I also memorized some opening lines so I could make sure to use some of those. For example I promised myself to answer one question with "this x bad thing happened, but the silver lining was...". It gave me confidence for fluency because I knew what my opening sentence was going to be, and guaranteed that phrase was going to be used so I get that point as well.
I hope this helps! Good luck!
Jackson was absolutely amazing. Very detailed feedback. I miss chris though. Hope I'll get to see both of them💜
Thanks. We agree :)
Great to see another video from ielts daily, undoubtedly chris is great but jackson examines meticulously. Both of them are awesome.
I was just saying to Jackson....he's like the teacher...taking his time over his answers. I'm like the examiner...quick 10 seconds...next candidate 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@IELTSDaily yeah he is one of those strict professors who rarely praise any student 😹😹
By the way your all videos just instil the confidence which motivates everybody to speak boldly💯💯
Where's Jay? He's a funny guy and I love to see with you, Chris.
I think she deserves at least for 8.5 band score. Her naturality and spontaneous speech is really admirable. She hasn't almost made any mistakes during her speaking performace. The examiner has been a little bit strict (from my point of view)
It is always close at this level, Hasan. Thanks for your considered feedback.
i agree with 8.5..i think it was strict score..she holds extraordinary language skill..
Love from Punjab.such a graceful content.
I've been waiting for Thalia, thank you for these videos
More videos coming :)
Loved this, you Sir have done an excellent job explaining. Thalia always makes great points too
She really does. She's an excellent example for anyone looking to score this highly in the test.
I like the part when she said it's a good question and got stuck there for a little bit she's so natural ❤️
I think Thalia is incredible her performance is just super and also she gave wide range of vocabulary and ideas. Thanks again Chris and ielts daily staffs ❤

Hay Chris where are you it's not good for us without you
I just would like to opine here on the word that she used bunch, although is a word that can be used to describe a group of people or things I would not use it. However, she does have a very good command of the English language, it would be a pleasure talking to her.
"bunch" is totally acceptable language
Where is saskia 😎😍
Chris you should have made this video
I live in UAE. Here the government make artificial rain through cloud seeding process. She could have use that matter.
Interesting Shamla
Thank you IELTS Daily ,I scored 7 overall (S: 7 , W :6.5 , R:6.5 , L:7.5 ) this channel really benefited me 💯

Hi sir,
as you know the situation of Afghanistan is too bad now and I,ve completed 11th class and we don't know that we will complete the 12th class or not. So can I take IELTS exam before 12th class graduation?
Help me please 🙏🥀
Welcome Bilal. I hope your situation improves. Please watch all our videos :)
One silly question got here. 13:06 I guess that we shouldn’t use "so" after "because", right? I am welcome to anyone who is willing to correct me.

Nice
Show IELTS oral 5/5.5/6/6.5/7/7.5/8/8.5/9 example video… thanks
Is it informal to say 'so' in speech during Ielts interview as per some so-called experts?
IELTS speaking is not a formal exam
Sir,
I want to become a member but I couldn't find the path. Please help me to become a member.
I would like to ask a question related to Speaking part 2 . I answered the question as I misunderstood.
The question is ;
"Describe a city or town where you want to live "
Where it is
How you knew it
What it is famous for
And why you would like to live there
I understood it wrongly and answered it as a city where I want to see . I answered all the questions as I mentioned above . I wonder that how much points will be deleted for that misunderstanding. Is it a big deal ? Thanks a lot for your answer
Hiii…Thanks for all your valuable videos. Got an overall band of 7.5.
Writing 6.5
Reading 7.5
Speaking 7
Listening 8
❤❤
Fabulous
Well done on your score.

Yes, she is remarkable and has scored very highly as a result😊
Arrange some new IELTS SPEAKING test we are waiting impatiently.
Hi Ziaur, we have many on our channel 👍🏼😊
Could you guys please stimulate a mock test of 7 or 7.5 band score as well ?
Sure we'll have a go
My speech for part 2 ia one minut and forty seconds sometimes even one minut and thirty seconds. Can it lower my score if can't talk whole 2 minuts?
You can speak anywhere from 1-2 minutes.
@@IELTSDaily Ok thanks
For me, she deserves band 9.
kindly suggest the candidates who would come for the mock test at least they need some lessions regarding ielts speaking format parameters and ways of possibly getting the higher score not just only fluent in speaking english and sometimes its leading out of the box even they really do have good pronounciation extensive and variety of using words and complex sentences.to be honest it really can damage the real ielts candidates to answer beyond the boundaries and get lower score
thanks
Thanks. That's the point of the video - to show this to students.
You should be careful with your punctuation.
@@IELTSDaily infact Thalia isnot giving the direct answer exactly to hit the question
in this platform candidates should be informed well and at least prepared certain parameters to be followed and alwys fancy answer and it deteriorates students mind to use fancy words and senteences and forgot the point and exact answer to be given and expected by the examiner sir
hope next video lession there is improvement from students
thanks
Can I get a Heart ❤ from IELTS to encourage me to study harder?
Best wishes and keep learning ✅✅
@@IELTSDaily omg I will!! That means a lot to me ❤
how can i add your group?
Manuel Neuer is that you?
I really hated a person who gave feedback to thalia because he did interrupt too many times on her speech, as a result i didn't understand well and would like to give the best feedback to this person '' do not interfere too much because you know, you will be not interesting person and everyone will want to omit your speech during the any kind of video so that you should, have to, must be calm and reduce interrupting his or her speech
Hello Mahsuna. Thanks for your feedback. You can find plenty of other IELTS practice exam examples on other channels. :)
We want Thalia’s insta 😅❤️
She said funner instead of more fun.
Where is Jay?
Please send aa pdf of reading material
He was wrong about “control of pronunciation”. It should be “control of pace” or something like that. BTW, her fluency is great. Frankly, I can never speak like her, although I’ve got 8.0 overall three times.
Thanks for the feedback. Do you mean 'control of rhythm', perhaps? I agree, her fluency is great and she scored 8.0. You can't score much higher! Congratulations on scoring an 8.0, by the way. That's remarkable👍👍
I was thinking to myself why he was saying "he" refering to her. Then I understood it was "here" 🤦🏻♀️
Here is her hair. He has her hair here. Try saying it 😂
Where is Chris..I desperately miss him :(
The only thing that I find abnormal is how Jackson pronounces the word "here" just like "he" which not many IELTS experts would do. There's may be some thing to do with his British accent, but in my opinion, an IELTS expert MUST deliver widely recognized pronunciation. In the other video on this channel where Saskia got an 8 JUST because she said "ad-ver-tis-ment" instead of "ad-ver-tise-ment". If you read this, Jackson, I strongly recommend you take my suggestion into account. IELTS is strict to the testakers so for the instructors, they should he strict on themselves TOO.
Not sure we agree Thu. The reason we marked down Saskia initially was because of the pronunciation feature of word stress - she did not stress the word in the right place. The way Jackson pronounces 'here' is a fairly typical form of elision where part of the diphthong is lost.
Is your accent from Scotland or Australia?
I assume you're saying it's difficult to understand?😂 Australia.
@@IELTSDaily nope, I understood clearly however sounds quite Scottish tbh 😂😂
Jack are you from Australia.
Because I notice you pronounce 8 like ayit
😂😂😂 Maybe, mate.
@@IELTSDaily teacher how can I improve my reading like 5 to 7 how can I . You can give some tips, or advise or books anything else.
@@IELTSDaily Our jack where is he? 🧐🔍 :)
@@asadbekbaxriyev5159 My advice would be to watch Chris' videos on this channel on reading. Do plenty of practise tests to become familiar with the different question types. Find some books written for your level of English, from Penguin or Collins, for example, as they'll help your reading fluency. Watch movies/TV with subtitles as it will be higher level and lead to some new vocab. I reckon that's a good start😄
@@IELTSDaily yeah. Thanks for all. "IELTS Daily" is the best channel on CZcams. ✊✊✊
U guys just love doing judge, no matter how the the person that u examining him is perfect
By the way, did i say that ⬆️ phrase right?😂
This is a test of English, examiners are paid to judge 🤣
A better sentence is: You guys love judging, no matter how good the person is. 🙌🏾

I fear that speakers in your interviews are way too frank! It is barely seen in interviews of other institutes.

That guy showing up all the time is so annoying
Maybe our channel isn't what you need then.
@@IELTSDaily you channel sucks!
Evaluator should learn English first, repeatedly he calls her “He” .
Can you give us a link to the timestamp
She is irritating me sayin “um.. umm.. ummmm.” My ear hurts. Also it's inappropriate
We can't wait for you to be part of a future video so everyone can judge you!
Thalia is pretty overrated so to speak. She speaks smartly confidently but definitely not a band 9 when it comes to vocabulary and she is not even content rich, hvnt heard anything substantial to learn from her.. I give her a band 7 🤣🤣
Not all speaking requires language that teaches you something. Thalia took the test already and scored 9.0.
