You should also check out a Yamaha 700r there really fun too but don’t buy a Yamaha 660 or Kawasaki/Honda 700s

You should definitely get a 400 ex. Also can you do like endurance/trail riding on your next quad?!
Get a 450 you won’t regret it and you’ll love it. They’re extremely fun and have plenty of power for anything you could ever wanna use it for. I’d recommend a Yamaha yfz450 personally or even a Trx Honda. Stay away from ltr 450s. They have tons of issues. I’d definitely love to see you rip one. Maybe convince Braydon to get one down the road to mess around on

Hey Miller you mentioned you’d like a can am but they don’t make good race quads. Their new ones might not be good and their 450 the same but I do own a 2007 can am ds650x race quad and the things a beast. Might wanna look into one.

Get a honda trx 450r, 2004 or 2005 since they are kick start. I have had many honda racing quads. What work do u want done to the 250x, carb rebuild? I have a shop near u and we can do that.
Come out to Durhamtown when you get a 450 or 400ex and rip with me! Great place to ride fast.

Look into the 09-14 Suzuki ltz 400 they're a nice in between for something quick but practical, and they're fuel injected with reverse
You need to put a smaller jet in the bike

Should find a 250ex which is the same engine as braydons white recon and it's semi auto. As for why it'll only run for the short time is either you need too rebuild the carburetor or check the fuel tank for rust on the bottom since that can clog the carburetor and cause it too run like crap. If I were you I'd do both and call it good since it should run good after that and I'd guarantee that the dude you'll be calling will say the same thing.
I'm definitely going to have to agree with you about the 450r. I had the honda 450r mine was white and black and it was a blast to ride. I also had a 400ex and it was also a blast to ride. But I definitely prefer the 450r. Have fun and stay safe out there.

That's what I have but the 300ex and it's just as fast as the 400ex but I also have a Yamaha Kodiak 450 I do want a can am outlander 850 or grizzly 660

I had an old trx250 and it had the same issue. Spent way to much money and time to figure out it was the gas cap not letting air into the tank and air locking it.

get you a trx450r, my dad had one that he bought brand new in 2005, never took it apart, rode it like hell for 18 years and just sold it a week or 2 ago, he never had a single issue out of it
I have a 2007 400ex and has never let me down since I bought it. Besides when I leave the key on and then have to jump it lol

I have a red and black 400ex and it is clean asf
my buddy has 2 of these quads and i forget the letter/serial number for the spark plugs but they run like crap with the plugs with the L after the numbers not sure if that will fix your problem.

I had a 300ex that ran horrible at full throttle but only needed a better air filter and a air box it wasn't enough restriction

400ex is a good in the middle bike good for trails and stuff with the right sprokets or you can go 70 down the highway but Honda made a trx700xx and I've heard they are beasts

Put a inline filter on it and that will fix the dirt in the carb that is why it keeps on shutting off because the rust in the gas tank gets to the Carb and bogs it down
Canam made a ds650 till 08 and switched to a 450 from 08 to idk but there both fast as hell and are true race quads
The 300ex I drove it hard around the yard it had a aftermarket streight pipe exhaust shooting flames and everything when it backfired road that thing for 5 years with the previous owners and we got hell of a deal 600$ for it and it still rips
Try spark wire i got the same quad i got it for 650$ only problems or vaulve adjustment that run with holes in the piston no oil ext i would definitely keep it air colled hondas u see whag brayden is geting 250
