Great looking trailer there mate, get a good coat of wood preservative on those timbers and make sure you get your money's worth of them.
A coat of used engine oil is good and cheap and it soaks into the grain so you don't have stickyness or slip hazard . 👍🏻

I figured there was an RGN coming sometime, but i was expecting something slightly more vintage. Beautiful unit there, and looks sweet behind the classic cabover. I hope we get to hear that detroit screaming with something big and heavy sometime.

The Marmon 57P Aero “Black Betty” would be a good tractor to pair with the RGN…with its drivetrain, rears and suspension it’ll handle the weight well.
As far as the Landoll trailers go, I’ve ran the tilt-bed trailers as well as their 2 and 3-axle RGN’s. Good trailers and I like the lower side rails….downside is that the square-tube crossmembers are prone to rusting out. Whichever tractor you decide to pair up with this, I STRONGLY suggest a set of Minimizer full fenders for the drives. They’ll keep rocks and road debris from tattooing the hell out of the back of the cab/sleeper…
Another bit of advice, whichever tractor you decide to pair with this, beef up the rear frame crossmember that the neck support “foot” will ride on. I also carried large chunks of 6x6 timber to act as a cushion to boot…

you speak of logging in your area all the time, dont buy trailer flooring, call a local sawmill and have them saw you some stuff and air dry it, will be way cheaper, i suggest lynn wood or balsa, heavy haul makes good money, best of luck to ya. here is my .05

Congrats on the trailer! I was a household otr driver for 25 years. I did moving and I also had a rigging license. We did some commercial moving which required rigging machinery. I worked for a guy who really took care of me. I'm currently 60years old with health issues, but I miss it! Gilbert Alicea NYC. Best to you guys....

Hi from France, i'm originally from Melbourne,Australia been here thirty years.Back in Australia i worked for a company that had W'Model &Cabover Kenworth's,all powered by 6V92TTA Detroit Diesel's, man that opening scene took me back 35 years,that two stroke sound is imbedded in my memory,it's just unforgetable and man when you hit the Jake (if you know,you know) i enjoy your chanel, but i'm stumped why an air line pilot spends all that time and money on those old bangers.
