I've been a fan ever since and when I returned to Dallas, God led me to attend Gateway Church Southlake. I realized a year later that Mark Jobe was a pastor at Gateway. Small world we live in. I had tickets to watch her in New York but concert was cancelled because of Covid.

At the last moment, a surgeon came in and said they were going to try one more time to find the problem, and a day later I woke up alive, and this song was playing in my head. I’ve been an addict for 27 years. I’m not very proud of it but I’m humbled enough to admit it. I am about to begin my journey of sobriety and I’m scared to death to begin it! This life is the only life I know to live! I will leave everyone I know behind because I know it’s best for my recovery and I’m broken hearted about that because let me make this very very very clear……. All people that do drugs are not bad people! I wish I could express that so that everyone understood this! Some people that are addicted to drugs do stupid things, yet everyone gets the sake stereotype and that’s not fair because I’m not the thug you see breaking the law! I’m a normal person that does not cheat and steal! I don’t break the law I just have an addiction! I would give a stranger the shirt off of my back and expect nothing in return ! I am frightened beyond belief of this life I am about to take ! It’s the unknown for me ! Where does someone like me even begin to get clean. Honestly I’ve been to rehab and it didn’t even slightly help me ! I understand that I have to wait it for myself ! I really do , but when this is all you know it’s very easy to doubt being successful at it ! If you read this please don’t judge me pray for me instead. I can’t keep going on like this! This life is the only life I know to live! A few weeks the building inspector ( unknown to me at that time) told my Dad that the house should have not stood and all should have been crushed within. I got out without a scratch. Many times I have almost been killed with the same result. I am a child of Light, Faith, and Hope. Jesus is for real and those He lives within know this full well. Life begins when you accept Him as Lord and Savior. Our future is not the end but the beginning. This world is temporary but eternity is secured unless you don’t accept Him. The decision is yours. Just believe.
