as someone who had huge doubts about running mhd then seeing this shop car on their socials, i was hoping this vid would come out soon. cant wait to give mine the CES touch reallll sooon
I have been running MHD since I got my supra and I have had no issues at all. It is the only tune I have used. On the e30 ots map I am getting around 495hp and 497tq.

Stage 2 I assume? Im doing same setup tomorrow. Have stage 1 93 octane. Good jump but a downpipe and e30 should be almost another 100hp

im new to tuning platforms. i thought only way to do pi is going with ecutek? you can do pi with MHD like CES has done?
I believe what controls the PI is the motiv reflex fuel controller that they have
I’m getting a Pure800 installed next month and the shop who’s installing it is telling me to stay away from e blends because the car will run out of fueling since I have stock fuel system is this true cause in the vid John said you can make high 500s to low 600 on just an E blend. The car is a daily and I just want a fun and somewhat reliable street car.
Well the shop isn’t wrong, you will run out of fueling. Imo there’s no point on upgrading your turbo just to achieve maybe 50 more whp. You might as well just get port injection to get the full potential
Yes they’re correct. When you run e blends it takes a lot more fuel flow to do so. So you need to either stay on pump gas, or upgrade your HPFP if you want to have enough fuel to run some serious HP with E blend.
Why you throwing money away on turbo and then stay cheap on fueling? It all goes together if you decided to go more power you have to do all of the supporting mods

Not that much different for 440i unlike the weight ofc I do own the grancoupe 440i which feels like a boat compare to supra over than that almost the same the only race car in the market is the porsche GT3... the supra is only sport car will never feel as race car

This channel made me want a supra, but I'm stuck between that and a LCI F82 M4 or F90 M5. Which would you prefer? I'm coming from a FBO F30 328i.

If u more into fun driving better chassis only for sport and better mpg more reliable less cost ... go for the M4
If u more into luxury comfy also faster in straight line better sound go for M5

One point that is never covered and i know it doesn’t apply to the CES shop car is the 6/20 DME lock issue. None of this is possible on 2021+ without spending thousands to just get the DME unlocked for a base tune. Once there is a stateside unlock, CES will be inundated with Supras wanting work done.

I sent my ECU to Femto myself for a calibration only unlock. Cost me a total of just under 1k including shipping both ways. Taking my Supra to CES as soon as they get the Pure 850 in. Getting fully tuned with ethanol mix and dual M1 injection will put the car around 650-670 on dyno. That's not bad for now until we can get a stateside full unlock.
@@jakeatkinson901 Yeah, i want to go Ecutek for Reflex and all the supporting future mods and going the Femto route for that is $$$. Also, just a personal preference, i'm sure the Femto guys are personally great but i don't like the idea that i'm supporting Russian-sourced businesses given what's going on in the world. Can't wait to see your numbers man, hopefully they share your build on Ista/YT.
@@MikeBaloga I may be wrong and someone who knows better can correct me but I think mhd supports reflex as well. I know you can definitely go port injection with mhd. Don't worry too much about the Russia thing brother. Our country is just as dirty as all the others. At the end of the day they are great people trying to run their business like the rest of us. They have been extremely professional and courteous to me throughout the entire process. Hopefully we will get a full unlock here soon. Have a good one.
@@jakeatkinson901 Yeah, the way i see it is you sort of pick your software provider based upon where you want to be (capabilities and power-wise) and who you want to do the tuning (IE - Botti only tunes on Ecutek, etc.). That said, nothing wrong with MHD, there are some good tuners leveraging the platform i just didn't think that MHD supported E-Flex on the fly and PI, etc. Been a hot minute since I looked again because i'm not there yet myself. Agree with you, America is plenty dirty ourselves and mostly hypocritical but I put my money where my mouth is on the russia thing, personally, i said i wouldn't do it and i won't. 🙂
