    I've learnt more about this bike from you in 9 minutes that I have done from hours of other videos. Shame I'm in the UK and not the USA.

    Your specs are a little off like the weight and hp ! 172 not 145 and weight is under 600 like 580 or under 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @chadbest7129
      @chadbest7129 Před 4 lety +8

      145 is at the rear wheel. 172 at the crank.

      @roninmantis7584 Před 4 lety

      @@chadbest7129 Manufacturer measures at the crank, unless you've had this on a dyno. Also it's not the Concourse, which is a touring motorcycle, but the ZX-14, different weights and hp.

    Phil, you do have a unicorn, that is the best color for the VFR1200. Someone is gonna get a deal.

      I did same 18 months ago. It was sat in a bike shop with 4k miles on. Full honda luggage included. No marks anywhere looked like new at £5.5k. A lovely bike will never sell

    been on Interceptors since 84! Sales mgr at a dealer. I will Always call this an Interceptor ( though its not called that)

    • @ClevelandMoto
      @ClevelandMoto  Před 3 lety +1

      Since we didn't get the RC79, I tend to think that anything V-Four Racing is an Interceptor, even tho' the name technically died off after 2009 in the USA.

  • @n300zx931
    @n300zx931 Před 4 lety

    It’s definitely a sport bike. Nice to add the bags for a trip or two, but it’s all sport bike with a drive shaft. Got rid of the exhaust. Definitely a better machine now

    • @alanrix5344
      @alanrix5344 Před 3 lety +2

      Yes I've got a 2015 model and I absolutely love it .However you're right I'd say 85% sports 15% tourer .Seat is not a touring seat but maybe it's because I'm an old bloke whose bottom gets a bit sore these days but as a sports bike twist that throttle and man things happen pretty quickly

    • @n300zx931
      @n300zx931 Před 3 lety +1

      @@alanrix5344 I’ve got that Corbin seat on my 2012. Definitely helps the comfort. Also added lowering foot pegs for touring, but take them off when sport riding. All in all it’s a fantastic bike if you love sport riding, but also like a tour or two. Fits the Bill well for those who only can or want one bike.

    Why do people say the VFR1200F has 145bhp? It is rated at 170 to 173bhp!! I guess the 145bhp is at the rear wheels

    Does the vfr comes with cruise control?

    • @graylunsford
      @graylunsford Před 4 lety

      That's the one thing missing but there's an Australian company that makes aftermarket electronic cruise control. They might have one that works with the VFR.

  • @dbehr27
    @dbehr27 Před 5 lety

    145 hp? If you're going to quote the lower of the two numbers I'd make sure you say 145 at the wheel. Also, sorry NOT 80 lb. ft at 3000 RPM. Just crazy talk. Probably 55 ft. lb. at 3000 RPM, at the wheel. Get those numbers right; you don't want to lose cred. Also, the suspension isn't "fully adjustable at both ends." Rebound only. What's going on here? I don't enjoy correcting people, just want to make sure you don't lose cred for what are either mistakes or lies. I'm about to buy another 2010 so that's why I found this video.
