We Found INCREDIBLE Agate Geodes Inside Fossil CORAL! (And Cut them Open with a Rock Saw)

- It is always an absolutely wonderful time cutting open incredible rocks and fossils! In this video, we are cutting open the Florida state stone: agatized coral. These wonderful little geodes also glow under a UV light, revealing beautiful agate banding that is normally invisible to the naked eye (or very faint). These are some of my favorite invertebrate fossils to collect since they are both a fossil and a mineral specimen in one.

Been a rockhound for about 60 years ( I am 69) and have heard of the agatized oyster shells but never seen a good example of those until today. They are fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing this with a “senior” rockhound. Love from South Texas 🤠👍⛏💎
Would like number. Ome
Been in love with rocks since age 7, now 79 years of age. I completely in love with #1. Basically I am a Fairburn Agate Collector from S. Dakota. I have managed to accumulate 283 Fairburn specimens in my private collection. S. Dakota, is the only place in the world to find Fairburn Agates. Thanks for your videos, they are superb.
My three year-old and I watch your videos every single night before he goes to sleep. It was pretty random that we came across you, but now I find myself becoming interested in all these things, too! We are going fossil hunting in the spring. He is a huge fan!!
Thanks for pronouncing _agate_ correctly. That thumbnail is gorgeous!
I like #1. My dad was a scuba diver once upon a time, and he found an absolutely massive specimen of fossilized coral on one of his dives that we put in our garden alongside his many abalone shells. My mom grew up vacationing in FL with family friends and had her own collection of teeth and shells that she had found over the years. When my sister and I were old enough, she shared her hobby with us so we could begin our own collections. Sadly, we lost them to a wildfire here in California, but someday I plan to return to FL with the knowledge I've gained from watching your videos so I can find even more cool stuff!
I’m totally addicted to your channel! I have collected rocks all over the world just because I love them! But what impresses me most about you both is your humor and childlike joy over everything in nature 🥰! It’s so refreshing! Thank you 😊
11:30 - these agates under the UV-B light remind me of space-scenes, like nebulae and stars... Gorgeous. Little miracles that God/Nature have hidden in nature and we who collect them are the first eyes in 1,000,000+ years to experience these little miracles. Just makes you feel awestruck by nature's beauty. I love rock collecting for this exact reason.
Love watching. I am 74 and have loved rocks all my life but wish I had been able to go places to collect myself. Would love any of the ones you’re giving away. What fun!
What you guys do is truly amazing. This is definitely something I want to do at least once on my bucket list. I’d love #3 so much. It looks sooooo much like a dog to me and would be a beautiful piece to have! Good luck to everyone!!!
Me also, its looks so relaxing and fun
21:13 in the UV for the win

More cutting videos, please! The anticipation is delicious, and as always, the enthusiasm you two share is completely infectious. I’d love to be considered for #3… I can just hear it calling out to meet my craft table!
My 8 year old son Ciro and I love seeing all the lovely geodes. He thinks #1 is the "winner winner chicken dinner". The agatized coral and fossil shells are so fascinating. He likens the anticipation of seeing the cut geode to watching his chickens grow up and show their unique feather colors and patterns. Here in Michigan we have Petoskey stones and UV reactive Yooperite which we plan to hunt for in summer and fall. I got him one of your grab bags for this birthday in end of April; I know he will be so thrilled to shuffle through it and use his fossil guide to ID everything!
Keep making cool content!
I can see Bri using some of those in her art sculptures. Wowzzers!

As for the "ton more coral...do more cutting"... Yes! Would absolutely love to see more coral/geode cutting! The mineralization is amazing...it's so exciting to see what's hiding within!!!! Thank you for all your hard work in collecting, cutting & polishing! AMAZING!!!!

That last one was amazing under the UV, I totally need it for a UV room!!

Yes please keep cutting ! These are amazing
I just came across this by accident. I was about to get in the shower so naturally Maintenance showed up to fix the kitchen sink I've waited three months to be fixed.
I had no idea that coral could have such beauty inside it. I know about geodes and all but I never thought about coral and it's only natural that being in sea water could do this.
I'm SO WANTING to go to the crystal mines here in Arkansas. As soon as I'm in a little better shape and I can save some money and find the tools and a young man to do the heavy work... that's alot of as soon ases. Not sure if that's a word. But I hope someday soon. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. I'm praying for MIRACLES Because I need some REAL quick! God bless y'all on your endeavors. Be safe! ❣️
Oh My Gosh! Absolutely Amazing!!!
Yes more Videos. I didn’t see this until it was over. Just incredible if not to late #3. Thank you for sharing your beautiful pieces

Candi Farmer I watch your show everyday...I'm a rock gem mineral fossil collector and have been all my life...you go places I wish I could. I love #1..it's beautiful!
I collect stones, semi-precious stones, metal metals, fossils, as well!! I found 3 pieces of fossilized coral in a dry creek bed here in SW MO! Totally shocked me. Never crossed my mind of what the inside might look like, but they totally rock in my “ocean” bathroom.
They are all so cool. I like number 3. You guys have so much fun it is delightful to watch you work. Such dull fossils hiding amazing beauty! Thanks.
Cut, cut, cut, can't wait to see more!!!!

Awesome harvest of hidden sea treasure! Of the four “give away” pieces, I like #4.
I loved them all. I’d say number 4 could be a winner for me. I’d like to see more cutting videos please.
Congratulations Brie, or Bree, you are the first CZcams rockhound I have watched that pronounced botryoidal properly! I am no English teacher but most people call it ba-troidl, or some config of that. Thank you! You give me hope for our education system.
I'd absolutely love to see the rest cut. they are stunning.
Cris & Bri, what you do is truly amazing! I just wish that you would give a little more detail of how you go about finding an area that might have fossilized coral vs dead coral. #2 is my favorite. Thank you!
Chris, you, Brie and Kyle truly amaze me. You walk down a creek, pick up a piece of bone or tooth and you know exactly which animal it belongs to and where on the animal it belongs. It just boggles my 71 year old mind. I so enjoy your video's and the adventures you go on. You entertain and educate me and I thank you for that. Your never too old to learn something. #3 would look amazing next to my Orthoceas and fern fossil's I won at an auction.
I'd love to see more of this! It's so much fun anticipating what might come out of each one. :)
I watched it twice and I would love to have ANY of these (if I have to pick one... the #2)! These are truly amazing and I am soooooo Jelly of you guys!!!

I'm only 11 minutes into this video. And just when I thought these things couldn't be any prettier....WHAM...you hit them with the UV. At this point, I cannot pick one number. I just want one period! I've never seen such surprising beauty within "rock". I had no idea these existed. Coral can be so lovely dead or alive. Now, back to the rest of the video. 🙂
