- I LOVE the state of Michigan! Beautiful water, pristine beaches and forests, wildlife and plenty of amazing things to find! We decided to go walk a beach to hunt for petoskey stones, but also ventured out into the shallow waters to bring some FL hunting techniques to Michigan. It was an incredible success and turned out to be my favorite time fossil hunting in the state so far!

Great video as always. I'd love to see a series of, "Bri & Cris Tour The States". You two just doing what you do all over the U.S.A. Fishing, foraging, diving, rockhounding, fossil hunting and having fun.
Of course we want to see you do more snorkeling! Why wouldnt we? That was so coop and those perfect little shells you found were so awesome! They need to make a uv flashlight that works underwater! That would be awesome! That was a lot of fun! Some really nice petoskey stones you found out there. They will look amazing once you polish them. Thanks for sharing your hunt.
Yes! Please do more in Michigan! We are from Grand Rapids/Wyoming area and my kiddos love to see what you find. It’s amazing to see some of the fossils, we never knew what they were and from how long ago. It’s truly amazing!! Thank you (If your in our area of Wyoming MI, stop in for some great homemade Italian food at our restaurant Russo’s Pizza. We would love to see you!!)
Haha I love bri's energy in the thumbnail
I loved every second of this video. Love seing you guys have so much fun, definitely do another one like this please 🙏. Great finds 😊
Wish I were there too! I’ve never picked an apple ☹️
The stones are beautiful and I’d love to make this trip 🥰❤️
So nice to see you both having fun!
The last few years, I have been missing my home state and the summers I spent at the lakes. I spent many summers finding Petoskey stones. This video took me back. Thank you!
This was fun seeing you on the beach in MIchigan and getting in the water even though it can be kind of cold sometimes. This is where I do most of my rockhounding although I didn't recognize the beach. Well done.
Great video. I would love to see more of Michigan in the future.
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Great video... the UV light added a super fun aspect to rock hunting.
That little shell with that coral was so perfect. Thank you for sharing. I won't ever be able to do what you are doing, but I can enjoy it through you. Stay well and safe.
Loved it. So many beautiful stones.
I just love the energy between you two and the love and passion you have and the interest you share it’s refreshing thank you for all the great content
You two really appreciate the beauty of rocks and fossils.
Please keep on educating us, it's awesome!!
very cool! the snorkeling was great...more please!
Y'all are so blessed. I grew up rockhounding and camping across North America. Makes me happy seeing y'all finding great stuff and the true joy on your faces . 🤜🤛🤟
The rainbows 🌈 in the lake are so beautiful 🤩
Nice finds, glad you're enjoying our Michigan fossils. Rocks are pretty sweet here too
Woww... 350,000,000 Old Petoskey Stone and Fossils, this is amazing my friend, very old rock.
Beautiful stones! Amazing adventure!
Our Great Lakes have so much to offer!! Glad you guys had a great time, with some great finds!! Way to go….
Fun video! Thank you for sharing your adventure!
What a beautiful place to hunt! Never seen that many Petoskys before! Love the other fossils as well, especially those sweet little shells. The flower is some type of sea rocket, a member of the mustard family. That moth was gorgeous as well. Epic video!
The waters were so clear for you! Amazing finds!
Love. Wow. Thanks so much for sharing. Thank you.
How beautiful! Love watching You Guys!: Always a good time and such Cool Finds!
Grew up in Michigan, loved walking the beaches of the great lakes.
The tiny "gastropods" on the solitary rugose coral are species of Spirorbis (polychaete worms). I find them as epibionts on Devonian fossils here in New York. Happy Collecting
Wow, I had no idea! Thanks for the correction. That’s one of the coolest thing about fossils and paleontology. You’re always learning new things..and I’m about as new to Devonian fossils as you can get…though I plan to keep learning more. Thanks again!
@@PaleoCris no problem. I've been collecting (fossils, minerals, shells, skulls, artifacts) for over 40 years and I'm still learning new things all the time. Thats why natural history is so fun. Good luck.
Love this video. We tried this a few years ago. Found many stones along the Lake shore: Michigan is so lush & beautiful.
One of my favorite places thank you.
Loved the snorkeling, awesome finds🤩😁😉
I always enjoy seeing how excited you two get when you make a discovery. I always crack a smile as I find what you two do so fascinating. Please continue to make more videos! Know they are greatly appreciated! Cheers!!
That first sandy beach spot was so pretty! And all the fossils and stones you left with made it all worth while. The big piece of coral Brie was so awesome! 🔥
Awesome video guys! You always have beautiful scenery, crazy wildlife photos ( besides Kyle, lol), great humor, and I love to watch Bree finding the most rocks and fossils. She almost always beats you guys at finding them. You three make a great team! Keep em coming!!✌️❤️
I grew up on lake Michigan. All I had to do was walk out our backdoor and down the steps to a secluded beach like you're on. I spent hours rock collecting back then as a kid. I miss MI but love Colorado where I an now.
Loved it. You guys must spend all of your time outside. And yes, we love it. Whatever you decide to do, we love it.
You all are totally awesome! Love ya! I learn so much from your videos! Please don't ever stop chasing the fossils and rocks!
I loved this video too! I loved seeing all your finds! Great job! 💚💚💚
The water is so nice and clean wow
Excellent energy and subject!
Wow, y'all found some awesome stuff!!
So many cool rocks!!!
Loved this video !
Bri finds the best stuff...
Cool place! Thanks :)
Snorklehounding was super fun to watch! Enjoyed the UV hunting as well.
The glowing rocks are amazing. I love all the ones with the little shells and snails and cross sections of coral. It would be so hard to decide which ones to keep I would want them all. When my son was little and we would go hiking or camping he used to get mad at me and tell me all I ever thought about was rocks LOL. HE WAS RIGHT
I was born in the town of Charlevoix. Grew up on lake Michigan. Can't count how many times I've walked down the beach and picked rocks 💙
Love the new video type where you cut to a more teaching type shot of a rock. lots of work has gone into your wonderful to watch videos. keep it up.
It looks like fun!
Awesome find.
Late to the party, but greetings from Michigan :) Born and raised, and as much as I'd like more mild winters, I don't think I can pull myself away from this state
Great video! Please do more of this in the future.
SO cool. Great video as always. Hope to get there some day.
Love the videos y’all. Keep it up!!
Thanks Joseph! Will do.
Oh, I live in Michigan! Now I HAVE to go! Thanks For Making This Video!
All apple seeds are different and when grown and one tree is found to have a delicious variety they have to be cloned to produce more trees.
That’s what I was reading! The day after we recorded this, I must have tried 50 different apples from different trees. No two tasted the same and my mind is blown.
I really need to go to Lake Michigan! Thank you for the adventure.
You guys are great. Makes going to certain locations an adventure if you know what you are looking at........
Cool finds I never have seen before thanks
Very cool finds
In the East Tawas area of Lake Huron you can find slabs of coral fossils.
I can’t wait to start exploring and maybe snorkeling Lake Huron!
Lake Huron is very cold just a heads up to you Cris.
Great day, amazing finds :)
I remember going to Petoskey Michigan looking for Petoskey stones. Waters beautiful, and we did find some pretty cool stones.
Nothing like a good road trip. Especially eating new food and rock hounding. Sure enjoyed your fun!!
love it thanks for your videos
Huge inspiration! Big reason I started my channel!
Wow I can’t believe you found so many.
That's wild!!! I've never seen an apple before either!!!!!
Welcome to our state. I live in southern Mi. Just outside of Sturgis. We have actually found small Petoskey stones in some of our plowed farm fields around our area. Also other types of corral.
Really cool!!!!!
It was cute seeing your reaction to apples :) Great, educational video as usual!!
Always enjoy your videos…
Definitely enjoyed this, and pretty much all of your videos. Go again, and see what else you can find. Maybe do some night snorkeling!
Great hunt, you to are fun to watch , thank you for this video ❤❤😊😊
Seems like a million years ago my wife and I used to walk the beach in that area and find the Petosky Stones just laying on the ground. Around the top of the thumb you can find shale, that if you split it, has all kinds of fish fossils
Awesome adventure 😎
Love the snorkeling just started snorkeling a few months ago here in Tennessee agate hunting of course since I live in southern middle Tennessee I live in a Ordovician area full of fossil an geodes snorkeling has brought me some great finds this year
So glad you had a chance to visit our area an no alligator risks! : ) Welcome and i hope you had a great visit!
Oh man, what a feeling to not even have to think about sharks or alligators! It took me a while to fully feel 100% at ease in the water from decades of teaching myself to be very careful when in or around any water sources. It’s great!
Love the video! 👌😀🇸🇪
what a great video!
I found your channel and was binging some of your older videos and when you mentioned how much you like fossils, I came to your most recent to ask if you had ever went to Michigan. 😆 Asked and answered!
Love your video's Cris I have been watching you guys for sometime, I find it so interesting what you and Bree find out adventuring. I was raise most of my life in Michigan I love it there. I currently live in Minnesota but I go home to Michigan once a year. It is beautiful in Michigan and the lakes are fantastic I get home sick all the time. I am trying to teach my 10 year old nephew rock hunting and he loves it, we did some hunting in Michigan in June this year he lives in Vermont and I live in Minnesota so the family gets together in Michigan every year. And we go to many beaches rock hunting..
Those clear waters really messed you up! 😂😂😂❤

I live in Wisconsin and wonder if we have the same here on the other side of the lake, I guess I will have to go hunting. Love watching you guys on ALL your adventures, thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge.
Loved it! Love all your videos. I'm from MI. About where were you on Lake Michigan? My 12 yr old nephew and me would love to go there. Thanks for all you do.
Great video sharing 👍😍 superb
Stay connected 👍
This reminds me of Sanibel Island on the Florida gulf coast where people go to collect beautiful sea shells from large conch size to tiny. People use the small ones to make jewelry.
have been trying to get my family to go mahnet hunting and fishing with me for the longest time. so far only one time put. foung old boat anchor and a new fishing luer. only went for 1 hour. but was fun.
thank you for the encourahing video.
