The music, the cinematography, the whole video in itself - I never leave a Nathaniel Drew video uninspired.
Hey Nathaniel, not sure if you'll read this but, I'd like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your videos have gotten me through some rough times, not only is the message always so inspiring and helpful growing up in the 21st century but the cinematography and sound are so beautiful they make me feel something I never have before. I'm sure I am not the only one who feel like this. So thank you and please continue to guide and inspire us young people of the world

Nathaniel I’m only a minute in and I had to pause so I could comment and just say that I’m am filled with so much joy being your subscriber. For the moment all I can do is support you in the comments. I hope to be able to contribute in some other way in the future. For now I just want to say thanks for creating. I appreciate your belief in yourself and your willingness to speak your truth.

I've been watching CZcams since like 2008 and I think this is the best and most valuable channel I've been subscribed to ever. Thank you Nathaniel!
I swear there has gotta be at least 1 person watching this, currently expecting a text from someone named Julia, who just had their mind blown.
I literally just read a comment from someone saying, "How did he know about Julia..."
Loll
That’s actually weird I’m expecting a text from someone named Julia. My mind is blown
Me. Lol.
BRUH, how, just how?
Every student needs a mentor like you who is genuine and can easily connect.
I started using therapeutic writing two years ago as a complementary therapy for anxiety, it's a process of writing stories that keep ruminating in the mind, and solidifying that energy makes my unconscious alter the little details, my feelings, the way I seek to digest this story, and I end up "emptying my heart" that way, and it has helped me a lot. We can’t change other people, We only can change ourselves
I feel like college is zapping my energy to think about what I really want. Can't wait to graduate, but I will keep fighting for my creativity to shine through.

Every morning, I review and update my lists as needed. After a good night's sleep or long nap, my mind is refreshed. Once rested, it's much easier to work on meticulous details.
As great as this advice is, I somehow feel a vibe that this was 40% self-development and 60% intricate ruse to get Julia to text back :-D
gotcha, Nathaniel!
I also prioritize my more thorough housework on an annual calendar. This includes cleaning and organizing closets, bureaus, kitchen cupboards, washing windows, etc.
I complete outdoor projects during the summer and indoor projects during the winter. I allow one large project per month. In other words, I allow myself an entire month to complete one project. In this way, everything is accomplished at least once a year.
If I don't feel the need to do certain projects, I take a month off. If I want to do more within a month, I do. I'm free to make new decisions or do nothing. This is just a general routine that I keep in mind for the sake of sanity.
Most of the time, I rarely need to re-organize, because I never make a mess in the first place. I like to pick up as I go by - so very few things are astray.
I like to sweep or do dishes on a daily basis. For sweeping, try a swivel sweeper. For dusting, try a long-handled magnetic wand.
Nathaniel, this is such a powerful piece. It was my 22nd birthday today, but I was feeling so lost and upset. I was dreading to go to work daily even though I’m in a rewarding field I’m passionate about. No matter how hard I try, I can never separate my self worth from my job because it’s something I take so much pride in. However, you reminded me of something. The “why” that I have long forgotten. And I think it has sparked a new strength to keep me going, push boundaries and get back up after making mistakes.
It is so inspiring, to see the amount of thought and sensitivity you put into the videos. It makes me want to do better. Thank you. I hope that you keep doing what you do.
I'm struggling with excessive thoughts.
When i go to bed thoughts never calm down.
Thanks for posting this video. It will help me to deal with thoughts .
I love thinking and as far as i think thoughts could make any person more conscious and more patient . Either , thoughts as far as i think too could make a person more negative and more anxious.
So we should deal with thoughts. So your video is a gift .
I appreciate it . Thanks a lot.
I just find your videos SO calm and soulfully. Idk, after a day full of technology, people and noise, I love to just lay in bed and get relaxed with your videos, is like sitting on clean grass while the breeze hit your face and all around is quite, so raw.

After church, I head over to this channel because whoah, Nathaniel be doing the Lord's work 😭😭😭😭😭 THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!
I'm sitting here, in the midst of procrastinating for finals, reorganizing some inspiration boards on my phone and listening to a bunch of your videos. You're one of the most inspirational people and I want to thank you. You're videos ground me and also inspire me about how I'll go about and continue my life in college and onwards. I don't know if you've seen the movie, "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty", but its one of my favorite movies of all time and inspires me in the same way you do. I remember somehow finding your channel and watching your videos, and they gave me the same vibes and inspiration as the movie. Thank you for the wonderful videos and I hope you're safe and well during this rather complicated time.
Can we take a moment to realize that this platform is free and subscribing to Nathaniel is free? Like that's kinda mind-blowing
I loved the analogy of the computer in this video and I really needed this. As someone who was purely focused on maximizing productivity, I didn't realize just how often I'm overloading my ram. I have a schedule to tell me exactly what to do for my working hours, but whenever I'm alone not working, my mind is just confused and I start to get anxious, I never realized why, but now I know: it's because I never offload my ram at the end of each day. I always am doing something, but never slowing down and let the little thoughts that come up go, and eventually they pile up in the ram and makes me anxious.
I will definitely be more intentional about my thoughts and organize them by journaling in the future, thanks for this video!
Trying to reminder everything... the fact that you CAN doesn’t mean that you SHOULD !
Wholeheartedly agreed! It's time to stop the productivity madness and start thinking about strategic productivity.
Dear Nathaniel, I don't usually speak out so forthrightly. However, you deserve many thanks. I appreciate the fact that you've allowed me to focus and direct my thoughts in a productive way. I have known about you for a while and back in the beginning of this period you motivated me but I still couldn't push through. Right now I would give you credit to what success I've had. Thank you.
i can feel the passion in this video

Can absolutely vouch for journaling helping anxiety. I started journaling when I got some bad medical news a few years ago (nothing life threatening, thank god, but potentially life altering over the long term). When I got home that day I had a new email from my penpal. I wrote back, throwing in the news. I noticed how immediately better I felt, just getting the news, and the anxiety around it, out of my head and somewhere else, and went out to buy a journal that same day
I always feel a genuine sense of mental clarity and excitement to learn every time I see you upload. Thank you, Nathaniel.
You have such a gentle approach to your life and how you treat yourself. This is the kind of quality content that gives me (and others) that fire under my butt. Not only is it formatted in a way that I am able to receive it... but something about your videos help me release a bit of anxiety and realize that my life is more than what is placed in the digital world. Keep it up. xx
Literally had to listen to this 4 times. There's so much info in such a small amount of time! I will be coming back to this often.
Seems as if you always make videos to help me weather the storm I’m going through at that moment. Keep going, thanks Nathaniel. 💙
Dude, you just inspire me. Im so grateful to have found you, back when your channel was a baby and Im so proud and happy for your success. Huge hug!
Your philosophy and the way you express it it's the kind of content that added a lot of value to my life. What you do is meaningful.
I really love your videos, they make me feel less anxious about my daily life problems, thank you so much Nathaniel!
One of my favourite channels by far
Thank you Nat for making such content that I can relate to. This has helped me through my darkest days. I hope your channel will grow bigger in the following years.
Thank you so much for this. I used to do screenwriting and I fell off it for a few years. I was insecure about getting back into, and i had an idea in my head that I was afraid to share people. I realize that I won't get anywhere by trying to perfect it myself. I have to be vulnerable and express my thoughts. I'm not defined by whether people like my idea or not.
I've started to write down my dreams and ideas on paper and it has helped me clear my mind. Amazing video!!!
Dear Nathan, I am a lot older than you and I am so glad I found your videos. You inspire me. Thank so much! I am also trying to honor who I am and at the same time, reinventing myself. It’s never to late to start; and as you know, it’s a continual process.
Hey man, your videos are so relatable. I want to genuinely give thanks for all the stuff you are putting outside. It helps a lot of people who have a lot of mental clutter. I, personally, have a lot. I have so many to-do list that has not been done yet. I get easily distracted by external stimulus and it feels like the direction that I wanted to have for myself is getting more distant as time goes by. Finding your channel makes me more grounded and focused. Thank you man, for doing this. Please continue what you do. The only way I could support you right now is not skip ads and smashing those like buttons.
This inspires me so much. As a high school student, there is so much pressure to have everything figured out, and I really needed something to motivate me, and show me how much better my life can be if I'm more organized. I love to organize, plan, and all that. I just don't feel motivated most of the time. Thank you for doing that for me. Seeing someone like you travelling to amazing places and doing what you love makes me feel like it's possible to live the life I want. Thank you.
Hey buddy, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you, because you content makes me feel super relaxed and inspired to work. Keep it up, buddy!
You are so calm when you talk that I like listening to your voice every morning. Not to mention your superb editing. Keep it up Nathaniel!
How can anyone not subscribe to this guy?! SO glad I found this guy! Thank You Nathaniel Drew !
You are a really great storyteller, you deliver the messages in such a clear way. By watching you, actually, I'm re-learning how to deliver my own messages and to remember how it is to be productive and to be focused on my goals and dreams. Thanks to this youtube algorithm that brought me here.
Nathaniel your videos are so beautifully made. The aesthetical beauty is really helping to deliver a deep message. I love that you put so much work into a 10 minutes video, it really shows how much time you work on them (maybe because I'm a youtuber too so I know 🙄) so when I see a new one I wait to have a quiet moment to watch it because I really focus my attention on every second of it.
That's enough with compliments, I actually commented because I wanted to ask a genuine question. In this video you touched a topic I've been thinking about for years and years. I have a very active mind and too many thoughts. I tried a few times in my life to write down my thoughts, but every time I have the same problems: they are way too many than what my conscious mind can process and my hand can write. Simply too many and it's hard to order them in a hierarchy in my mind. Even when I find a hierarchy, it would take me one or two hours every day if not more to write them down and I don't think that's an efficient way of living and working. How do you solve this problem?
I love the detail behind this video. Even in the first few seconds when you added that bike noise to the shot of that bike. The attention to detail really gives your work that edge that I enjoy.
I use notebook paper and a pencil. I erase and update on one piece of paper until it's worn out.
I use several clipboards as needed. One for the household and more for any projects. Each project gets its own clipboard. All the clipboards are different colors.
On the first page of my household clipboard, I list priorities at the top, errands on the left, household chores on the right and future priorities at the bottom.
On the second page of my household clipboard, I list my annual budget. I use categories, such as property tax, utilities, vehicle and groceries. This enables me to easily adjust expenses, because they change throughout the year.
Additional pages are random or miscellaneous subjects or minor projects. As previously stated, major projects get their own clipboard.
First off, Great video! I loved the structure and the whole message. I really relate to most things you mentioned in the video and I really found this video helped me clarify what I needed to do and start somewhere. I began journalling around 5 months ago and it has helped me immensely in organizing my thoughts. Although it is not much of an organization and more of a data dump, it still feels really good to be able to let it go by writing it down.
thank you so much for your kindness. it's a great video and help me, also push me to try organize my thoughts

Mate your content is some of the best quality stuff on CZcams. Not only the actual video, sound and editing quality, but the content of what you talk about as well is always so inspiring and motivating
Thank you so much for sharing this video . It’s hands down one of the most useful content I’ve seen while exploring myself in this crazy chaotic world . It shows clarity and simplicity . The thing that I constantly kept thinking as I watch this on and on is how can we develop a community or group to share ideas for constructive criticism? How can we pass the point of sharing these ideas with friends who are awesome but also totally bias ? And how can we trust people when the ideas are only in the making and you’re afraid they could be stolen . I sometimes don’t share my ideas because I’m afraid this will happen. thank you again!
For once I didn't check the comments first, I remained completely engaged, all I can say is thank you, I trust this information, now it's just about the practice.
Oof, lol. I am reading as I listen.

@@wynstansmom829 Much love, hope yours was just as 'nice' haha!
Being a subscriber to your channel has genuinely brought so much value into my life. Thank you!
I find that being bored is a great way of getting ideas, because when all the stimuli are removed, you are just left with your thoughts 'connecting the dots' as Nathaniel put it. I've been practicing not using headphones when going for walks, for example. For me music tends to distract from my thoughts and I think that's why showers are so great for thinking - it's a challenge to distract yourself with a screen, so you get one-on-one time with yourself.
I want to mention that I love the sound design in this video! I know, most people don't notice, but it is a part why your videos are so satisfing to watch! (Also the visuals and your relaxing voice, of course)
Considering that I will be watching this again while taking notes, it your craftsmanship makes me look forward to re-watching this!
By the way, is that girl with the blond hair the one doing all of the hand-held shots of you? If so, I thank her for filming your robot moves!
Yeah!! I was wondering just the same about the blonde girl
the background music in this one was just dope
What i absolutely love about this video barring the wisdom and beautiful shots is that you have shared your actual to do list and your actual fears from your diary. Very rare to come across this kind of authenticity. I trust you Nathaniel. I'm eager to hear more.

Nataniel, you are changing my life. i love you. keep up the good work dude.
Hi Nathaniel,
I love this video and it relates a lot to things that I have been thinking about.
However I would present you with a question. "What is your definition of mental clarity?". One can argue that constantly asking the question "why" complicates your life. This is because there not might always be an answer as to why things happen. Leaving the mind confused and constantly in a chase for meaning.
Mental Clarity can also be defined as clearing your mind of these thoughts as is done through meditation.
Curious of your thoughts about this
Every view on this video is a person taking something away
Im glad I found your channel. Thank you Nathaniel! Your work is amazing. Please continue this work.
The spanish CC makes your channel amazing, I couldn't watch your videos without them, thanks thanks and thanks, greetings from Argentina.
Hey Nathaniel, I'm a person who really struggles with self-discipline and was wondering if you had any advice on ways I could improve my self discipline?
@Walter Clements Thanks for this for the advice!
Check out the latest "London Real" YT videos with Nir Eyal. The topic is Distraction. He says that the opposite of it is not focus but traction.
@Walter Clements spot on !!!!! I've been a minimalist for a couple of years now. It's soothing, but it's an ongoing process. It's like keeping inventory on your life to not let clutter and distractions back in. It's a job worth working👍. Stay Blessed 💘.
