    Nicely done with good look. If you have a good track saw, one tip to save time in the future is to install the decking material on the table first. You can then use track saw to cut across the end of the table so that all the pieces line up and saves more time instead of using miter saw in the beginning.

    Some mentioned that table doesn't look to sturdy if you push against it. How can I make it better? I like the design/colors/simplicity, but I am not sold on joints using butt joints. Will pocket joints help?

    you use alot of new materials. Have you ever tried to build something using only found/salvaged/scrap materials? minus nails and such,
    BTW, this is beautiful!

    • @cookingnoise7230
      @cookingnoise7230 Před 7 lety

      That would be cool, but it would really beat the purpose of his channel and his TED presentation. Throwing in factors such as found/salvaged/scrap materials can be hard for people who is trying to build the project as well. As anything that is found/salvaged, they all have their own uniqueness and dimension.

    • @ChazEvansdale
      @ChazEvansdale Před 7 lety

      hmmm i don't know anything about his TED presentation. Kinda feel bad that I don't now. I know i am lucky where I live because I have access to a dump that allows picking in the woodpile. I love his pieces and his work, i'm just an avid recycler who prefers not to use new wood whenever i can. I do suppose anything he makes on the channel can be done in salvaged materials if the builder has them on hand at the time.

    Your measurements don't add up on your website for the bench. For a start it says 9 lengths of 62inch hardwood. How can it be 9 lengths if you use 3 per bench ? Secondly the measurements of 2x4 Is for a single bench so how you can't say that the hardwood is for 2 benches???

    I have to say that “pepe amazing plan” (Google it) is a wonderful wood working book. It gives a lot of general info that will help any beginner and even some skilled wood worker. Surprisingly, this book has been my partner whenever I wish to look up woods at areas and other topics such as restoring as well as salvaging spots.

    I`m in the retirement stage of my life. I perform a bit of cabinetry, produce musical instruments, and carry out woodturning in my small shop. I found this woodworking guide, “pepe amazing plan” (Google it), and acquired it despite the fact that I own many woodworking books in the house. The comprehensiveness of this book is amazing. Each and every subject matter of the book is covered well.
