    Winner! Made it and had excellent results. Thanks for the recipe.
    - Like the use of both black and white pepper. These peppers are very different and well worth using.
    - Next time I make it, I'll add some fresh ginger and a bay leave.

      @@AmazinKitchen Hello. How did the bay leaf / ginger work out?
      I seldom use ginger and garlic together. If I do, I use a 1: ratio, as this seems to keep the spices in balance. 1 part garlic : 3 parts ginger or 1 part ginger to 3 parts garlic.

    Cheers. One thing I like to do with plain rice is at start of cooking, add mustard seeds and boil as normal. Never thought of turmeric and butter.

      I always cook my turmeric rice with a few cloves n a small piece of cinnamon stick in it.Its got the most amazing fragrant.

    Instead of enchiladas I made tacos and tortillas. I made a small batch of your yellow rice and really really liked it. Will definitely be making this more often. I liked the flavor, especially the white pepper. Tfs sweetie 😋😋😋😋👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤💞💞💞💞

      It's best with white jasmine rice. You can try it with brown rice but the results may not be the same, but it may be equally delicious. Kindly let me know how it goes if you try it.🤗

    This looks really good. My husband loves rice. It's something I would like to cook. Thank you for sharing. 🤗 I have problems with my pan lid as it let's out the moisture. What pan are you using please. 🤔

      I am using a stainless steel pan, the brand is Inoxibar. But you can use any pan. You can still use your pan and cover it with a parchment paper or foil or even a thick clean Kitchen towel.

      The rice was not cooked, I only washed it with some water before adding it.

      I haven't tried it with brown rice before. The taste might not be exactly like with the jasmine rice, but I can't see why it won't work.

      You can, but it will become Curry rice instead of Turmeric rice as curry powder can be very overwhelming and is less "yellowy"in colour. Check out my curry rice recipe if you decide to use curry powder.

    Why do you wash your rice? Does it have to dry after washing?

      Washing rice removes dirt, dust, bugs and chemicals. You don't have to dry it, just drain the water and cook as you would.

      Turmeric is not spicy at all. It is very fragrant and colorful.

      Don't mistake Curry powder for turmeric. Curry powder has turmeric in it, however, it can be spicy and pungent.

      This means that you may have added too much water. Just like I said in the video, the quantity of water you will need will depend on the rice or even brand you use. You can try again and decrease the water this time. I hope this helps 🤗

      No, I didn't cook it first. Just wash the rice with enough water, then drain the water and add the rice to the pan, then add water to cook it. I hope this helps.
