  • What makes you think of summer? Trips to the beach? Baseball? How about grilling hot dogs at the park or by the pool? When done right, a grilled hot dog is hard to beat. But when they're done wrong? Not so great. And a lot can go wrong: Hot dogs can be overcooked, undercooked, encased in a subpar bun, topped poorly, or just plain low in quality.
So what can you do to make sure your hot dogs come out top-notch every time? Some of it comes before you ever crack your grill open. What you do at the grocery store or how you store them in the fridge plays a role, too. And please, get the heat right. Here are the biggest mistakes people make when grilling hot dogs.

3-6 minutes on the grill? I despise idiots who do that. Use a gas grill preheat then set to low heat all burners. Turn 60 seconds the first few times then let em cook turning every 2-3 minutes. I can cook a full pack of hot dogs done to my liking with the casing popping id say 30, 35 minutes
