Everyone thinks we're angry because Swan Queen isn't canon, but we're angry because we're constantly being overlooked. The people who are just watching the show, are not vocal about it, thus making it impossible for us to know what they ship. My girlfriend only watched one episode and asked me if Regina and Emma were secretly sleeping together, she's not in the fandom and still sees it. Rumbelle and SQ are definitely the most vocal fandoms.
I understand that, and I do agree that we could petition for a future pairing. But we fell in love with Swan Queen and we all feel that them adding a random gay couple will only serve to shut us up. But I understand. And thank you to for not putting me down, I've been feeling really left out by the fandom, everyone who ships SQ has been feeling that way, and there are not many people like you out there, who respects us even if you don't like the ship. So thank you :)
I mean Emma lost Neal too when he left her in jail. Snow and Regina are six years apart. Just because my dad has a girlfriend it most definitely does not make her my mother. Emma was the only one to believe in her when everyone was saying that Regina had killed Archie. Emma has saved her life countless times. Emma invited Regina to that dinner at Granny's, Henry or not, she invited her and stood by it when everyone else was ready to kill Regina on the spot. They have so much in common.
Regina was forced into marrying King Leopold, she was still a teenager who was thrown into a role she was clearly unprepared for. She never stepped into being Snow's "mother" the same way that she was never Emma's "grandmother". They're not related AT ALL.

Where the Charmings are the heart, Rump and Regina are the soul. They're important to the story. That SQ Nation crazy lady was arrogant! I think the main thing is the fact that Lana Parilla has amazing chemistry with pretty much every actor she has scenes with. She's just one of those actresses that doesn't NEED to try to hard as far as connecting goes. Sparks fly between Regina and just about everyone in the cast.
Although, Emily thought that Belle was going to be his grandmother LOL. Then Michael was like, NO! NO! Just stop. Step-mom. STEP-MOTHER! That was hilarious.
They act like divorced parents fighting over Henry. Regina is also the only one that brings out any passion in Emma. With every other character she is distant. Hesitant smiles, maybe a frown or eyebrow raise. But the moment she is around Regina she has emotions splayed all over her face.
Tumblr is the source. Same with Warriorfire and CaptainSwan. Tumblr is where most ships originate and gain shippers who then spread them onto other sites like youtube and twitter.

So this leads me to believe that the "casual" viewers of the show that simply watch the show, but never go on the internet are unaware of SwanQueen. I would still put my money with the hardcore internet fans because "casual" fans come and go at will with no loyalty. Hardcore fans are the ones that will watch a show for years.

I am and always will be a SQ shipper because regardless of intent there *is* chemistry on screen imo. However, I'm also realistic and never expected the ship to become cannon.
