The chocolate brand Moser-Roth has an interesting history. It dates back to 1841, and was a niche chocolate manufacturer in Germany, but got in trouble to fight against the big brands. Since 2007 the brand was revived and belongs to Storck (known for Werther’s Original, Toffifay, Riesen/Giant toffee chewy candy) and exclusively produce chocolate for Aldi. It’s really nice chocolate and can easily compete with most of the big brands (and as a bonus, usually they don’t use shitty palm oil but real coca butter instead)
I buy their 80% choc bars
I didn't know that.
Always cool to see these food tours, its pretty interesting to see difference between Aldi’s in the UK and other countries. Thanks Hannah!
Same reaction ... love them. And indeed, the difference is huge between this UK Local Aldi or our Belgian Aldi. I would be so much happier in the UK one ... so much more different food selections ... Hmmm. In Belgium it is more basic food in Aldi, but the prices are indeed always the lowest of them all, so always a good buy.
@@acrodude72 same here in Italy, is very basic, we don't have all that ready-to-eat foods (sadly, ahahahah) 😆
I really enjoyed this trip into Aldi!! The Americans just would not believe how cheap things are here when it comes to groceries!! So expensive there! You did a great job!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Aldi had been in America for at least 40 years. It is also the cheapest here in the U S
Yes all he is in America also but the food prices are absolutely not equivalent.
Food prices in America are just beyond insane at the moment.
@@ticiamillermccloud561 living in Northern CA, the prices are so high! These Aldi prices in the video seem so low!
@@mittens4kittens435 I'm in PA and our Aldi is reasonable!!
@@bethbenditt9489 we don't have it here in No. California.
Hi Hannah, greetings from Germany, the homeland of Aldi.
Moser Roth is actually Aldis own brand chocolate, but it’s basicly made in the same factory as Lindt 😉
Thanks Hannah for another fun and interesting food vlog. You make it all so great. Really appreciate all the effort you put into your vlogs.
That would have cost a lot more than $33.00 in the U.S.
Great vlog Hannah! Looking forward to your Christmas series and two videos a week. Instead of worrying about making a set deadline, you could surprise us with your second video post. You don't need extra stress during the holiday season.
IS SHE ACTUALLY DOING 2 VIDEOS A WEEK
I need to pick a day and stick to it, otherwise the CZcams algorithym doesn't like your upload as much... will def do either Wednesday/ Sunday based on all the comments!!
Your videos means: Friday, relax, fun viewing ! Many thanks 😊
A timely video as an Aldi opened locally to me only this week! In respect of some items I think one must consider the size/weight/quantity to see if it is actually that much cheaper than the equivalent in, say, Tesco/Sainsbury's. Don't worry about getting your words out, it is an aspect which makes your presentation come across as you, as opposed to an edited perfect voice over. A second video day? Sunday or Wednesday.
Just curious why food is so much cheaper in the UK vs the USA….Really a big price difference, especially for prepared items…And Hannah yes, I do the same thing and buy too many vegetables and then end up throwing them out…lol… 🥴
Unfortunately profits account for the high prices in the USA.
@@shadowguard3578 not just that, but even after Brexit, our food doesn’t travel as far, and only a few groceries - alcohol and biscuits etc - attract tax.
We went to America back in 2016 and America matched Ireland, exactly the same prices. People are crossing the border to Northern Ireland here to get British prices for their hard earned money, medicines especially.
and usa is cheaper than canada!
Because you get different wages
I've shopped at Aldi for years, the food is of good quality and good value for money. It really depends on your budget but I find whatever your budget there is definitely something for everyone. The frozen vegetarian food is their own brand and their gin is lovely. The wines ect are good Christmas gifts and their Irish liquor and their chocolate flavoured liquor is lovely.
I LOOOOVE your Christmas vlogs, and Vlogmas! This vid was great! Harrods yes, Christmas markets, Fortnums & Mason 😍
"Beige" is definitely my favourite food group! Lovely to see you, Hannah.
I always shop in Aldi the quality is good and it is cheap. The prices have gone up recently in line with everything else but they are still cheaper than the other supermarkets. You can’t get everything in there but use it for your basics and just go somewhere else to get that special item.
Well Hannah, you have done it again, turned a mundane chore into an exciting video
Love it👌
Gosh, the prices are astounding, given the quality of some of the products! Coming from Canada's west coast, I'm used to paying up to triple the cost of many similar things. The cheeses were particularly shocking! For example, at a typical chain supermarket we'll pay about C$9 for a 200gr piece of decent English cheddar like Coastal brand, although we tend to shop for a our cheese at Costco, where a 400gr piece of the same will set us back about C$13. This will leave you gobsmacked (as it did me): the other day I was in my local shop and looking through the aisles and came across a few jars of Hartley's blackcurrant jam with the original £1.69 label -- shelf price: C$8.99! I understand that imported foods tend to be a bit costlier, but locally produced is often as much, and often more. Whenever we visit the UK, we tend to shop M&S and Waitrose which, while expensive by UK standards, are still much cheaper than what we regularly pay at home! Will definitely check out Aldi next time around. Oh, btw, a Chrimbo tour of both M&S and F&M would be lovely, please!
Canadians get ripped off in virtually everything we pay for. Why is a car in Vancouver $15-$20k more then the same car just over the border in Seattle? Cell phone billing, food, insurance... I could go on but we Canadians gladly get sheared like the sheep that we are.
Oooh Twinnings English Breakfast - best tea bar none (buy it when on offer) Cheers Hannah 💖
You're a really clever shopper as you know what to choose .
Hassan from Morocco sends you a big love.
A lovely "everyday" vlog before the hectic holiday season :) thanks Hannah.... let's get ready for the Christmas marathon!
I live in America and love Aldi, but the price difference is INSANE! Brioche buns here are $4.39!! 😮
Please remember, there are two separate Aldi companies in the world. The one the UK and the rest of Europe have are not the same as yours
I do understand that. I was just stating what we pay. That’s it.
Now compare the average wage
You did amazing Hannah! Also love the intro! You can't beat an Aldi middle aisle!😅 Harrods should try a middle aisle variety on each floor , that would be epic! Thanks lovely, have a good one 👌👑🤍🇬🇧
Thanks for another fun vlog Hannah yes shopping in a grocery store is fun for us viewers lol I wish we had more choices of pre packaged dinners not as many here in Toronto Canada as you show. When you don't always want to cook such a good idea we have some but nothing near the variety you guys have. Excited for Christmas vlogs!
Agreed, doesn't have to be set in stone when upload, just a nice surprise is just as good!
Great video, Hannah! Re Christmas videos, would like to see South Bank Christmas Market and nearby areas, Christmas Market near Tower Bridge (if there is one again this year!), Fortnum and Masons windows, Covent Garden Market (including lights and decorations), Television Centre (if they're doing Christmas stalls/attractions and decorations again this year) and Harrods. Thanks! x
Thanks for taking us to the grocery store - that was so fun. I am kind of surprised that the U.S. price and the British price were not that far apart. I know I have heard that the pound and the dollar are very close now. Cannot wait for the Christmas Vlogs! The Christmas markets and the Christmas decorations in the different neighborhoods would be really fun!
it's so interesting that there's such a difference between uk aldi and aldi where I live...ours doesn't have so many preprepared foods (I wish it did!). The thing I like with aldi brand chocolate is that it's made with cocoa butter (not palm oil) and not too expensive too
Yes, YES, exactly, finally someone else mention this, cocoa butter instead of the shitty palm oil !
Another great video, Hannah. Hope all is well. The weather is going to be pretty nice again this weekend in Southern England, so that should be cool. Have a great weekend.
Wow!! I can’t believe how amazing the prices are!! Great vlog Hannah!! ❤
Brilliant as always Hannah, I use the Hotel Collection perfume No 39, everyone comments how lovely it is and at £6.49 it’s a bargain ( guilty for buying 2 at a time 🤦♀️)
love the way you film your blogs Hannah - I really feel as if I am walking beside you. Thank you so much
£50 to cook it! Made me chuckle 🤣
London is definitely on my bucket list
Omg your voice is so satisfying and this video is amazing got another subscriber! 🥰
You are amazing! I look forward to Friday and your videos. Keep up the good work!!
Hi Hannah, great vlog. All that food is making me hungry. Have a great weekend
loved it! another great show, can't wait till next week!!!
Do The Savoy. Always worth checking out their Christmas theme!😉👍
Nice to see your autumnal Aldi trip! Cheery to see after having a hurricane here in Florida yesterday. You will be happy to know Disney did not suffer any damage and is open for business! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing - definitely recognize how much work this takes to bring us these vlogs. Friday & Sunday would be great vlog days! 😊
I enjoyed a lot your vlog. I like so much when you show us stores like Wholefoods Market and Aldi. Really so cool, with loads of interesting and yummy stuff! Hannah, you have no idea how much this vlog makes me feel so good, even despite of being caught by Covd-19. Thank you very much for your vlogs and making me feel better. Please, Stay Safe and Take Care Have a wonderful friday! 🙂🌹🌻
Thanks Hannah for your grocery shopping! Can’t wait to see Vlogmas 2022!!
Great little video. Its interesting to see how UK stores operate. Thank you for taking all of us on these trips. Happy holidays to you.
Can't wait for your Christmas Vlogs! Really enjoy your posts. Have a lovely week Hannah.
Thank you Hannah I am enjoying these food tours a lot thanks.
Hannah adorable and knowledgeable as always!!!! Thank you for the vlog. Always a pleasure!!!
As a man that lives in Idaho thank you so much for taking me to Aldi's, I've always wondered why their gift cards are limited at 100£🤷🤔
Another great video Hannah. Looking stunning as always. Rocking the winter wrap up!
Love your enthusiasm when your shopping you positively make it fun. Keep you vlogs coming
Great video, Yay Christmas!!xx
Christmas lights and decorations in London! Thanks Hannah!
We have an Aldo near here and like to go during the holiday, since they have neat things. Enjoy your vlogs so much. Have a good week!💐
Thank you. Really like the shot at the very end of the beautiful trees gently moving.
so excited about the Christmas Vlogs!!! have a wonderful week Hannah!!
Thank you Hannah! This is the first of your vlogs I've seen. I enjoyed your videography and running commentary! Liked and subscribed.
Thanks Hannah, this was nice to see and interesting to compare prices to what we pay here in South Africa. Looking forward to the Christmas vlogs. You always do such an amazing job with the Christmas vlogs so please, anything like Winter Wonderlands and Christmas markets ect will also be great to see, in addition to all the shops of course. You've got your work cut out for you 😀😉🎄🎄🎄
Oh Hannah you’ve cheered up my day which has been terrible 😞 You staring you didn’t want to carry a huge melon, such dirty dancing vibes 😂😂😂😂oh and those jive bars ooh can’t stop eating them when I get them 😂😂😂. Have a wonderful weekend xxxx Thanks again for cheering me up xxxx
❤
Hope you've had a good weekend!
Thoroughly enjoyed your Aldi review.
So entertaining to have your commentary as well as being informative.
Can anyone tell me the difference between Aldi and Lidl as I really don’t have a clue….is one better than the other.
Are the chocolate reindeers and Santa’s as good as the Lindt ones?
Afternoon tea vlog please.
Honestly no, the chocolate is really not the same.. but some might like it
Really liked this vlog! Looking forward to Christmas vlogs .... X2/week - yay!! Love it! Keep up the great job, Hannah!
Oh and, by the by, I am very jealous of the prices! From Indiana, USA!
Thank you so much for doing this shopping trip Hannah much appreciated. Thank you. 🛍🛍
I enjoyed your shopping at Aldi's and I loved their selection of products. I have an Aldi's within walking distance from my house in Dayton, Ohio.
Great Hannah looking forward to your Christmas videos 😊
Great vlog Hannah & what nice grocery values you found! It is hard to believe that you will be starting your Christmas vlogs next week!!!
What about a Wednesday/Saturday schedule for your upcoming multiple vlogs per week? I look forward to ALL the upcoming terrific holiday store displays & features that you have in store for us in the near future! As always, thx so much Hannah for your amazing vlogs, & continue to stay safe & healthy! I am already looking forward to next week!!!
I can't believe London Cheesecakes are being sold there. I'll have to have a look! Haven't seen them for years, when we used to get them from the local baker...happy days! I love that you pick out stuff that I usually miss. thanks Hannah!
I live in America and shop Aldi all the time. Our prices are very much more expensive and selection at our local store is no where near what you have. It was interesting to see how different things are. Liked your Christmas vlogs last year. You remind me a lot of my niece. Looks and same vivacious energy. 😊
Brilliant - amazing prices! Thank you so much - your vlogs are so interesting and fun. Would love to see some of the Christmas markets, but whatever content you want to put out, I will watch!
Amazing how you get so much more variety and cheaper prices than we do, in Romania, where we generally make $700 per month, when working FULL TIME, and having a college degree (IT jobs not included).
We had 3 ALDI stores within 15 miles of me and all but 1 shut down within a year. Am I the only USA person to notice how cheap the Always pads were ?😮. There 4.59 here. Fun vlog Hannah as always 🎉. Looking forward to Christmas 🎄 vlogs. ❤
Exactly. The same product and brands sold here in the USA but we as Americans have to pay 4x the amount whenever the product companies is supposed American owned. They don't care about the USA customers but only other nations. 😡
Salaries in U.K. are not same as USA I think they go by this also . It be really hard in U.K. as nurse earn even 60-100k like USA as a nurse ( in certain hospitals I guess ) even same in Ireland . Nurses here get 30k a year .
@@sarahmc8309 Hi 👋. I don’t think that nurses get paid enough there either. The pay rate in Canada 🇨🇦 is a bit better. The USA 🇺🇸 definitely pays nurses extremely well. But all of this has to do with the fact that in American, we have to pay for insurance, hospitalization, dental insurance and more. We don’t have a national healthcare system as the UK 🇬🇧 and Canada 🇨🇦. I’m really all for a national healthcare system as many Americans would have access to even the simplest things. Here, their are actually hospital’s that are private and do not have to take even an emergency patient, unless it’s a “ life or limb “ then if they do..as soon as the person is out of danger, they are transferring to another hospital. Not all our hospitals are the same. Some will take anyone in need and other’s only if you have the type of insurance they use. We have so many insurance companies it’s ridiculous. I pay over $575. 00 a month for my health insurance including dental. Our system stinks. But until the government gets the reality of how many people want a national healthcare system, we’re stuck. You make a very good point though. Thanks 😊 for the reply.
It is so interesting to see what an Aldi looks like in the UK (from the perspective of a German). Many products are the same, except for a few foods. But why is the union jack visible on almost every product? Is it then for a local product or can the things with a flag be sold better (in Germany there is no flag on the products).😊
Ah, and we have very little ready-made food. That's more of a small area.😅
If there is a Union Flag on products, that means they are made in the UK.
Fabulous Hannah look forward to seeing whatever London has to offer for Christmas as it’s a dream city at this time of the year. 👏💐
Loved it ! So Excited for the Christmas Vids to start ! You're such a Doll ! :)
Hi Hannah, always interesting to see what UK food stores are like compared to where I live (Ontario, Canada). Yes...2 vlogs a week, whatever days work for you, is just fine by me! I know it's early but, I just put my Christmas tree up today...not decorated yet, but it's lovely with the lights on! Thank you so much for sharing, take really good care, have a wonderful weekend! Lots of love Kathy x 💖
We live in Vermont USA. I think we'd pay 60 USD. I know that's a lot but it's difficult for the trucks to travel so far north and during the winter months one major road is closed. As you said other things in the UK can be much more expensive. Gas is half at under 5 dollars. It seems to advantage out with overall we spend a bit less. Love your shopping. It's a lot of fun.
Such good prices. Excited for the Christmas vlogs!
Woohoo!!! Christmas Vlogs😊🎄. I love your videos Hannah! Thank you for sharing .
you can't beat Aldi for value, their specially selected ranges are usually very good, usually like the special selected curry sauces highly recommended, those cheeses I would recommend.
Great vlog- well done in there, it can be difficult! Fridays and Sundays seems like a good routine of two a week. ❤
Lol, the "mini pancakes" are Dutch Poffertjes. Ohhh yayyyy the Christmas vlogs are my absolute favorite. Sunday is a good day I think. And yep, Christmas markets and the Christmas decorations in the citycentre, but also at people's houses. I don't know if you guys do that like they do here in the Netherlands or like they do in certain suburbs in NY. I love that, seeying the decorations people put up😃
Hi Hannah! Thank you for another great Vlog. I love your earrings. Very elegant. Have a good one. x
Garden Center vlogs are nice, decorating your flat or unboxong free things/gifts that are sent to you. I live in the US and I love watching your channel; it's like getting a tour around London🥰🇬🇧🎡🏙☔🌁
Thanks Hannah for a great video. Love seeing the prices of things there. Can't wait for vlogmas. I'd love to see the Christmas market
Thank you for the Vlog. How about Kings Road in Chelsea, Sloane Square, or High Street Kensington?
Hi Hannah
I really enjoy your shopping trips in London and can’t wait to see what’s new for the holidays. Thank you for sharing every week. I’m from Vancouver Washington and one day I hope to visit London.
Hi Hannah I am new to your chanel but love your bubbly personality and your vlogs especially London stores at Christmas . I don't get to London very often so it's a treat to see the lights etc .
Keep up the good work x
Loved this vlog. The selection is amazing. Thanks so much for sharing ❤
Enjoyed watching you as always Hannah, have a lovely weekend x
Thanks Hannah fab vlog 👏👏❤️❤️
I’m here for Hannah’s Christmas 🎄❤!!!
Hey beautiful Hannah, Aldi is quite reasonable and we do have the Walmart stores in the USA which are still fairly reasonable price wise, plus there are many local stores in Cities around the USA that can be reasonable price wise and great for families! Stay awesome lovely lady! 👍✌❤🤠
Loved this.
Another fantastic vlog thoroughly enjoy watching.
Another great Friday vlog as always Hannah
Great video Hannah ❤️You guys have fantastic prices over across the pond 😉 Always so much fun with you. I can't wait for Christmas 🎄 vlogs 🎄🎄🎄you always do such lovely filming ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much for the wonderful break in my day.
Enjoy you Hannah! You are too funny😊. Love my trips to the UK and London specifically. Keep ‘em coming!
Hi Hannah! Do you have a favorite season? If so, which is it?
Can't wait for your Christmas vlogs! I love them! I wouldn't mind a Sunday/Monday vlog in addition to your Friday ones. Seems like a great way to start and end the week! :)
Summer!
Almost Merry Christmas Hannah! Wow. You did a great job of picking out good value at your Aldi local, Hannah. I believe prices are higher here where I live. Nice selection of vegan items for a small local branch. If you are about to increase your vlog frequency, Hannah love, I would say the most convenient day is the day that works best for you. I'm just grateful to see you more often. It will be a wonderful Christmas season. Take good care Hannah!
Hannah! I am sure I am not alone when I say that I enjoy your various shops and visits to various sights around London. Your commentaries are fun and the thumbnails look super! I’m in Canada and we have this annoying thing of the tax being added at the register- argh. No Aldi here either.😊
Hello Hannah, another great vlog. Always great value at Aldi. Your Aldi seems way cheaper than ours in Australia. Variety of groceries in UK is off the chart! Can’t wait for your Xmas vlogs! ❤
🤩 I vote for Sunday vlog
Looks like I’m going to be checking out my local Aldi! I can’t wait for Christmas vlogs! It’s not helpful, but anywhere you go is great Fortnum’s for sure!! Looking forward to your next vlog!
Love your shows, I watch them all the time. Can't wait for the Christmas videos.
Thanks Hannah!
