  • Happy Spring everyone! Today I took a trip to the UK's bargain Poundland to get some great offers for Easter and a birthday, then to compare also to the wonderful M&S. Are either worth the money, which do you prefer?? Love a UK luxury food shop, but also can't beat a great budget shop!
Thanks for watching, let me know you enjoyed it with subscribing and also give it a thumbs up 👍🏻 💕💌

M&S food is excellent! I wish they would export more of their food to Canada. Our local British shop can get a few things at Christmas time but that’s about it.

I was actually eating M and S churros whilst watching this. They're not as good as fresh obviously, but they're not bad. Also, simnel cake is very traditional. My mum used to make one every Easter. The 12 toasted marzipan balls on the top represent the disciples. You're welcome😊

Is it just me, or does everyone want to fly Hannah to their hometown to go shopping for them?
Not to actually BUY anything, I just want her to wander around my local grocery store with her camera and describe everything..
It all sounds so much better when she says it!😉

UK has so much more Easter candy than USA! Actually all of your food stores look nicer than ours. Those gorgeous floral chocolates eggs at M&S have a picture of the egg on the top of the package. I only know because I had to google the golden pistachio one to see if I could get my fat fingers on one and found a video where someone reviews it. Enjoy the weekend!!

We have a dollar store called Dollarama in Canada. When it first opened everything was $1 with the odd $2 item. Now its common to see items that cause $4, $5, and even $8.

Hello Hannah. Another enjoyable shopping trip. When we come to London we enjoy Poundland a fun place to look around and our favorite food place is M&S Food Hall -the desserts are amazing there. We don't have either of those stores where I live in New England but we have a dollar tree but not most things are 1.25 and up now. So not surprised to see Poundland and stores like that going up in price. Hope you are doing well after your wisdom teeth removal - certainly look marvelous; and catch you in your next one for I never miss your vlogs !!!

Right? I was shocked when I walked into the Dollar Tree and saw all the stickers announcing $1.25. So now it's the Dollar-25 Tree. LOL I'm in CA but have been to MA a few times and my fave store is the Christmas Shop. I find a lot of my souvenir's there!

I've learned so much from you, Hannah, about London and shopping destinations as I've planned our trip. If your PoundLand shops are like our DollarTree here in the states they all went up. Things are no longer a dollar in the Dollar Tree. They say its Covid and Inflation but its really their bottom line. It's sad for people who need these stores. But nothing you can do. I thoroughly enjoyed this video to see how the prices are really not that much different than here. I hope your niece enjoyed her birthday and so happy you are filming again! Happy Spring!

Fun shopping trip. Love the packages of non-frozen food "brown bits" and desserts snacky things. Here I only see frozen and a few store made small meals (and they are a new thing). Have Dollar Tree store that has similar items as Poundland but most of it's kind of junky. Good place for paper goods, plastic storage, craft items, snacks. Just went up to $1.25. But I did find some cute real dishes with pink flowers. Love cute dishes! Oregon, USA.

Yeah! Another Shopping with Hannah vlog. We have General Dollar and Dollar Tree here in the US. Dollar Tree does had most of their items set at $1.25 because of our economy, but General Dollar still have a robust $1.00 item aisle. Oh, how I wise we had more Cadbury Chocolate choices here. The curly wurly is almost an exact replica of a bar we used to have called Marathon Bars. I hope you are healing well and thank you for taking us along on the shopping trip.

When I visited the UK in 2019, most things in poundland was a pound except there was a small a section that said not a pound and these products were more than a pound but it was a tiny shelving display. I loved marks & spencers food, we took a train between Edinburgh and York and me and mum had 20 pound each to spend at M&S and we got a feast which lasted a while but it was delicious.

At 1450..those "Easter spiced biscuits" looked like "traditional Cornish Easter Biscuits".. Which are full of cinnamon and are basically identical to Welsh Cakes, but the Cornish bake them in the oven and not on a hot slate on the stove.
Hannah, "Simnel cake" is the traditional British Easter cake. It's been around since medieval times.. So 300+ years... If you like fruit cake and marzipan you will love it.. My mum makes an amazing one every year😊.

Also when I’m in there anything with Reese’s pops up and into my eye line, and I have no will power so they have to be bought.

I live in Japan now, miss the UK so much. We have a store called Daiso (that’s the biggest chain and some others as well). It’s basically a 100yen shop so the equivalent to a Poundland, 90% of the items are actually 100yen +tax, and only couple of the stuffs are more than that.
It’s pretty decent as you can get most household, hobby etc items for cheap.
I always find snacks and such are not worth it though whereas when i lived in the Uk i liked buying snacks from Poundland as at the time loads of things were cheaper there than in the supermarket. Shocked to see how expensive they got.
