    Hi friends! Today I have an exciting video review for you - I am trying an Amazon nail art stamping kit that has 10 different stamping plates, a stamper and scraper, and even a little case for the plates. The brand is called Biutee and I've seen them around a lot so I was really curious to see if they were worth purchasing! What do you think?

    This series is a 100 percent resounding yes for me. Two things I would absolutely love to see is which regular nail polishes stamp the best orly, essie, china glaze, ect,etc and testing new stamping products especially if they're on the inexpensive side. Awesome video as always. Take care of yourself because nomatter what you come first. Remember have courage and be kind. 😊

    This makes me so happy! I DO have large, kind of wide nails, and have had many plates where I could only put some designs on my smaller nails. Also the fact that these are deeply etched is a huge selling point. Thank you so much for sharing this Kelli!

    • @Call-me-Al
      @Call-me-Al Před rokem

      @@tyakirk4050 make sure you have different types of stamping heads too. Like marshmallow type stamping heads allow you to shrink and enlage patterns with ease, and I personally find the old timey small stiff (nontranslucent) stamping heads like what Konad used to sell (i don't know if they even exist these days) pick up some patterns better when the weather is more hostile to easy stamping (because of the increasing amount of pressure that stamping head uses). Though there are slow-dry stamping polish formulas too that would negate the advantage of the stiffer stamping head during annoying environmental conditions.

    Oh yes! More stamping videos please! The timing of this is crazy because I JUST fell down the stamping hole. I’m sitting here with my very FIRST mani with stamping and I started with your Maniology galaxy collab plate (love it!). It was so much easier than I expected. I have short nails (shorter than yours) so like a few others, I would love to see stamping videos that sometimes mention plates that are especially good for limited real estate :-)

    Yes on the stamping series!!! When everyone was baking banana bread in 2020, I discovered nail stamping. I feel you on the small nail thing. There are so many cool designs and ideas but I just don't have the real estate for it. A brand I recommend, also from amazon, is Kads. They have some very cool plates that have elements to create whole pictures- think a window, brick wall, flower box, trees, etc... it can make some really neat pictures. Again, small nails here, so my imagination is bigger than my ability to achieve them, but I've been thinking of stamping other stuff too. Trinket boxes, gift tags, etc.

    Just watched this video. Am a subscriber and fan. 77 years old, I started doing my own nails when Covid became a "thing" and closed my nail shop. I buy the more expensive brands but also have found that of ALL the stuff Amazon carries for nails, the Biutee brand has the best value for the buck. They do have stamping gel in sets that work very well, nicely color saturated. I prefer the gel to the air-drying because I can work at my own pace. I cannot do advanced stamping with it unless I nuke it on the stamper, then add secondary colors, etc. But the Biutee brand has become my go-to brand and has not let me down.

    Yes, please make this a series! Also, please do review the shrinking stamper you mentioned. I definitely need more info & practice on these. Kelli & stamping...two of my favorite nail things in one place -- woo hoo!!
    I'm curious: how did you top your stamped designs? Did you float a regular top coat or did you use a no smudge/water based top coat? Whatever it was, however you applied it was on point because there was nary a smudge in sight!
    Lastly, the brand of polish that you're wearing (Dam Polish)...do you plan to do a review on them soon? It's not one I've ever known you to wear before, but it's one I've been seeing/hearing mentioned by other reviewers recently as well as seen on things like PPU & HHC.

    I love the idea of this series! When I started getting into stamping last year, first thing I did was check amazon and saw that there were numerous different kits and brands but I couldn't tell if any of them were good. I did some searches for reviews but couldn't find too many. I didn't want to buy a potentially bad kit that didn't work. I didn't want my first experience with stamping to be negative making me not try it again. I ended up going with a well known brand that was much more expensive with a longer travel time. This series would have been perfect for me at the time!

I've found that with bigger designs, if I don't care about having every nail the exact same, I can often get 2 nails done at the same time if I turn the design sideways. I would LOVE to see you do more jelly sandwich stamping designs. I just got some blue jellies and ocean themed plates and they are so fun to play around with.

    I tried this a few years ago because I love doing my nails but often have shakey hands so I can't really do nail art, and it made me so so sad that it didn't work! I don't have much money and I spent my "me" budget for the whole month (which isn't a lot, but still), to make sure I had the exact right stuff, and it... didn't work for me. It was a clear silicon stamper and the specific stamping nail polish (that white is at least a great white for nail art, and a glorious blue and the green I don't hate, surprisingly). I couldn't get it to work! It's like it dried so so quickly that I didn't have a chance to get it on and apply it. I even had my Mom pick it up as soon as I put it on the plate, and apply on my finger way faster than I'd have been able to, and it STILL didn't WORK. I even got my Dad, who ran an ER and did SURGERY to try it to make sure I wasn't just being an idiot, lol. He couldn't make it work! I was so disappointed. 😭
    I'd love to give it a go again, because I've been kind of blah on my nails lately and want to enjoy it again before I stop painting them (my mother in law feels strongly about it during pregnancy and next year we'll be trying for a family, and if that goes well, once I'm recovered I'm going to be a surrogate for my brother and his partner). So before The Great Cessation, I want to dive back in and really enjoy it, and solid, suede, matte, microglitter, glitter, holo, French, reverse French, ombre, nail gem, square cut, squoval, and oval are all kind of... boring now.
    I really hope you make this a series and that I can get a version that WORKS, because... my Mom was in MENSA, my Dad's a doctor, and I'm not exactly a nail newbie, and between the three of us, we could not for the lives of us, make this nail stamping situation work. I'm still strapped on cash (newlyweds, saving to do the baby thing), but I will try again because for the love of all that is aesthetic, I am SO BORED with my NAILS. Help me, Kelli, you're my only hope! 😂❤

    I don't know if I would've gotten into stamping as much if I hadn't started out with stamping products from cheaper brands like Born Pretty and Nicole Diary that I purchased from Aliexpress. There's one thing to pay more for stamping plates with really cool and unique designs that only more expensive brands have in their line, but all of the other supplies - stampers, scrapers, stamping polish, storage cases etc - added together really would've discouraged me from buying. Most of my stamping products are still mostly from more affordable Chinese brands and I really have no issues with using them. I hope you continue with the series!

    My go to is painter's tape instead of scotch tape for clean up. Its bigger and less apt to fold over on its self. That is a very good price point as some individual plates can be $8-$10 individually

    I’m desperately wanting to try stamping but for some reason it totally intimidates me. I bought a maniology kit a couple years ago but the few times I tried it the results were not at all flattering. I need to go back to your 101 to get more confident and would love stamping videos from you since I learn more from your videos than others. Your explanations make sense to me where some folks skip a bunch of steps and then I’m just confused. I’m hoping you can teach this old dog new tricks and I can finally get this down and feel good about the results!! Thanks for always sharing your vast knowledge of nail art with this grandma!! I’ve learned so much from you over the years about Indie polishes and different types of polishes so I look forward to anything you share!! 💕💅😅
