Value of Medical Technology - Y90 Radioembolization

Please advise!!!
I am on the waiting to be treated with this wonderful Y90 treatment sometimes right after the new year at the Toronto General Hospital. Last month my first option was the surgery with one CT scan with the assumption that the tumor was situated in one spot and its size maintained the same in the left loft. The surgery preparation took place for January 6, 2023. The latest CT scan result returned with the same tumor which became more aggressive in its size increase growing towards the main veins. My surgeon reached out to advise that the surgery is no longer an option. With the urgent meetings, the team had decided to offer the Y90. I am just wondering if this Y90 treatment can shrink the tumor down to almost 0 in size or very successfully effective, can I have an option to skip the surgery, knowing that at least my liver is remained intact since the cancer cells can always grow anywhere inside the liver as long as the Y90 can take over the control.
