Im prepping for surgery in about 2 weeks after radiation and chemo for the past 5 months… so I am grateful to you for sharing… it gives me an Idea of what’s coming. Thank you! All the best to you. From South Africa
Hello Becky
Always a great smile
Thank you for walking us through everything
My Mother had Colon cancer
Just had surgery and a Colostomy bag
She refused Chemo and Radiation
She lived happily afterwards, after 30 years, and died peacefully in her nineties
I had this exact surgery, same colon location and all ...it was great to see the graphics and hear you explain. You are so funny - laughed several times at the clips. So...to encourage you - I finished chemo and had my after treatment scan. Today at meeting with doc, she said my scan was totally clear. So...here’s to you getting that same news soon.
I'm undergoing this procedure next week to remove couple of polyps before they can become cancerous. I was supposed to have it done a year ago but first chickened out after looking it up online then ended up in the hospital several times over for respiratory distress related to COPD but now I'm finally gonna get it over and done with next week.
I really love your positive attitude. I usually get scared of surgeries and hospitals, but watching your happy-go-lucky vlog alleviated my fears. Thanks for making me smile, and I hope your surgery went well. 😊
That baby is such a cutie with those cheeks. All your family is beautiful.
So glad your surgery went well. Best step to recovery is being home with your family. No better medicine in the world. Keeping you and your family in my prayers.
As a nurse, I can tell you what that we all get excited when patient’s start farting. A milestone really 😂
Hi Becky, keep that positive attitude,it helps more then we know.I had stage 3 colon cancer with 1 lymph node involved. Had an amazing medical team, Doctors and nurses to get me through it all here in Australia.I'm into my forth year and knock on wood🚪✊,everything is fine. You'll get through this. Attitude is everything. All the best to you.🌻
Had an extended right hemicolectomy op in May 2019
The op went very well except of a tiny leak in the osomosis join which led to big complications. But, just like others, I was so positive even though I spent a further 2 months in hospital, the colorectal team told me that it was all gone, it hadn’t metastised and that I didn’t need chemo. Today I am so grateful for every day and what it brings good or bad. I don’t like the word ‘survivor’, I’d rather use ‘Reborn’
The best bit of advise I was given by a former patient was to have lots of Vaseline handy when you DO start ‘Going’ again. Trust me, all that wiping sure takes a toll 😉
Live Love and Laugh. You are amazing and I am so glad you are NED.
OMGOSH you are a stitch lol, hilarious!! Awesome edits! Your husband is dreamy, your kids are so stinkin' adorable....and you are a SUPERHERO/SUPERSTAR!!!
You are a delight to watch, thank you. That same hospital will save my life on June 2nd; I will have a partial gastrectomy (partial stomach removal) to rid my stomach cancer. Just remember .. No One Fights Alone. 💜
Hi dear Doctor
Thank you for all your kindness and compassion towards your Patients
You are so funny
Lol
Wonderful doctor, God bless you and your family❤️💜💙💕💛
Glad surgery went well. Love your editing.
You're very strong 💪. I'm inspired by you.❤️
I always sneak and take Gas X with me, which I excuse myself to the restroom, and take with water, right after a colonoscopy. It makes you pass gas faster, and they won’t let you leave until you pass gas. I know that I would try to do the same thing, if I had to have colon surgery.
Great video! So no ostomy bag? I really hate mine. Sometimes I just want to cut it off.😬 if I’m lucky this July I’ll have my reversal surgery.👍Best of luck..
I am glad when I had my total abdominal hysterectomy all I had to do was an enema the night before
Thank you for sharing. That drink is terrible isn’t it!!!
How are you? It’s been a while. Sending good thoughts!!!
❤️
Update?! Are you well???
Did you have a CT scan first or straight to colonoscopy? Hugs and prayers. Waiting for my colonscopy June 10, I'm 36.
Hey there! I had an MRI snd CT Scan. If you check out my other videos on this Chanel, I walk you through the whole process from finding the cancer, through my MRI and CT Scan all the way through the surgery. 💕. Good luck! Be sure to watch my colonoscopy video for tips of getting through that messy time too. You will do great. It’s scary but so worth it.
FYI your menstrual periods will be different. There is a process called pooling after you have a right hemicolectomy. So do not panic. It will be strange until your new gut gets used to (6 months).
