Numbers started to get pushed over quality. The F41 Galant never had less than 10 defects per car going through the final inspection areas. Most were vendor issues that for some reason (Japanese owned?) never got addressed. Came a time of stamp those defects off and ship them out. Mitsubishi should really start worrying about how its history was and will be, since it has canceled other vehicle classes instead of maintaining and innovating them. I don't think that all models necessarily have to last forever, because part of creating those concepts is recognizing that there is art and pure design behind something that leads you to have the best possible experience on the road, which evolves.
They really should start making supercars, sports cars again, beef up their SUVs, continue to participate in Rally events and diversify in their intellectual prime. Their charts just show a huge waste of time due to a huge lack of confidence (since they were pretty much sold to the US) and that's not deserved by a brand that created such amazing cars.
I really miss the Lancer and the Eclipse. Those two were a very deep part of my childhood. Sometimes I wonder how those models would have evolved or how their names and forms would have changed.

They had such a huge following that people still tried to support the 2000 eclipse and u had a bunch of options to make it perform or look however u wanted. But then it the u reliability and the fact it just could never be as good as the late 90’s eclipse set in and that mafucka died.
