If you use Roundup or any other agricultural clearing chemical, add some vegetable oil (can be expired) to it. It works so much better. Sprinkle bone meal over the area you've planted your daffodils/bulbs after they've bloomed. It'll help for the next year's blooms. If you very briefly put a flame to the bottom of the cut daffs, they won't weep and they will have a longer vase life. While I wasn't here for the LIVE, I really have enjoyed the replay. Have a great Christmas show . . . it's coming up fast!!!

i do wedding but i offer what i have! they are aware before... and sometimes ill go get costco flowers for what im missing. my back yard is 60 feet x 40feet
I don't know what foods she was producing before ( I only see flowers lol) but she did plant tomatoes. I don't know if she planted anything else because she only showed flowers from what I saw.
Zone 8 here. We refrigerate our bulbs Oct until Jan and plant out by about Jan 15th for tulips. Blooms can happen end Feb into March.

Gladiolus Bambino 'Vasto' is so beautiful. Are the bambino's the smaller gladiolus that you were talking about ? they get 24" to 32" high
What about using nemotodes in the soil before planting or when preparing soil for the spring/ summer.
