I DO NOT SUPPORT DOING ANYTHING ILLEGAL. ESPECIALLY WHEN IT PUTS SOMEONE ELSE'S LIFE IN DANGER. If you drink and drive, or text while driving, you're a massive **** as far as I'm concerned. This video will feature far more, "benign" and "strange" entries that we are breaking without even knowing!
Whether we want to or not, the reality is, we aren't all goody two shoes. Sometimes it's our fault, other times it's not, and even other times, we just find a more creative solution. So here are 5 illegal Driving Habits We All Are Guilty of Doing, and some solutions to help you do them legally or..."less ilegally". As even the Law itself has many gray zones of acceptance. Such as the ambiguity of, "Flow of Traffic" all depending on the day the officer is having. Though some solutions offered are more clear cut, such as abandoning the archaic and evil system that are traffic lights, and replacing them with roundabouts. The title of this video may sound like we're the bad guys watching, but in reality, sometimes the lawmakers themselves could use some fair share of criticism.
For example, we wouldn't have to ever worry about running yellows, if there weren't yellows to begin with! ROUNDABOUTS BABY! But nope! These Bureaucrats don't want to give up their sweet, sweet, traffic camera revenue. Oh and tint laws? They say it's for officer safety and help them identify drivers, but ironically, louvers make such a task even harder, yet aren't banned nearly to the degree tint is.
One could almost say...that sometimes Law Makers haven't the slightest clue what they were doing. Because if they did, they'd have better consistency and actually do things in interest of public safety and bureaucratic greed.

The Australian law, as you mentioned, is about sticking your arm out as a gesture of greeting. This directly related to the purpose you mention for having your arm out the window - signalling in the event that your indicators fail. If you drive around with your arm out of the window waving to people, it's the same as indicating a left hand turn.

Studies on speed limits have actually shown that increasing the speed limit have little to no effect on the actual speed of traffic. There will always be exceptions of some people who will "just add 10" regardless of the speed limit, but on the whole, drivers will drive at a speed they deem safe.

We may have zones without speed limit, but from what I learned from this video, the 98,6% of streets that do have one are enforced harsher. There is a small part that gets substracted from the measured speed, but for every km/h over that you have to pay. You might even lose your license for a month when going above 21 km/h, or even longer the faster you go.

FYI: Australian roads arent wide like in America, hands inside the vehicle means you don't get your limbs dismembered by incoming traffic (especially children) . Bikes are in the middle of the lane and have a plenty of space to do hand signals. And I've never seen or heard of anyone getting fined using the car horn. We usually give a friendly beep if someone isn't paying attention to the traffic lights and its time to move.

Regarding speed limits, that's actually a huge misnomer that raising the speed limit means everyone drives faster. If everyone just adds another 10 to the limit, then it is STILL too low. Studies show that the majority of drivers drive a speed that feels reasonable limits are supposed to follow the 80% rule. Also, when the speed is so low as to be unrealistic, hardly anyone follows it except the hardcore rule followers, and then you get a massive speed differential between them and someone driving...enthusiastically, which is what's actually unsafe... My state (PA) is horrendous about speed limits on highways, and even the majority of people driving boring crossovers are routinely doing 20-30 over. Which means if you get caught driving a flashy car 5mph faster than the rest you get the book thrown at you. They won't spend money to loose revenue, they're absolute vultures out here. I guess all the money they steal from our highest gas/diesel taxes in the country that are supposed to be for road and bridge maintenance isn't enough.
