Any 2000’s list of muscle cars without the 02 Trans Am WS6 is…illegitimate. Btw the GT40, ZR1 and Viper are not muscle cars, they are sports cars and the difference is measurable.

The '00 SVT Cobra R is a true unicorn. Amazing machine. Ppl that own em WONT sell em 💯 Similar to clean 03-04 SVT Cobras. Hard to find unmodded/low mis.
So many are heavily modified, I’d love to find an all original clean one.

Why didn't the 03-04 SVT Cobra Terminator make the list? Is it because the Cobra R was already #10? They're very different, both iconic mustangs of that 00's era

@@PistonTrends I look forward to it. Yeah i wasnt dismissing the Cobra R selection or anything, it is incredibly iconic itself. The only real knock on the cobra R is that it was produced in such limited #'s that no one has ever seen them in person really
I love the Cobra R, but that was more of a proper Pony Car. The normal Cobra, was the proper muscle car of the New Edge lineup.

2004 had the ls1 5.7 2005 and 2006 had the ls2 6.0
I always wondered why they quit making the 300 SRT8 - it was way, way better looking than the Charger.

@@klaushuxley3342I believe Chrysler didn’t feel that the Hellcat badging meshed with the Chrysler brand. Chrysler has always tried to project an upscale image associated with luxury and distinction. Looking back that was a mistake as Chrysler has no brand identity anymore on any front 💪🏿🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥✊🏿

It's crazy the 03/04 Mercury Marauder is not on there. It crushed a few of those early Mopars
It was so hard to narrow down the list to just 10!
Replace the viper with the 02 ws6, and replace the gt with a g8.
I could get behind that. Those were both cars that could have made the list. I really loved the G8 since I have a family with kids.

The 05 GTO was a LS1 5.7 350 hp and the one I had was the 07 that was the last year and mine had the 6.0l Ls2 with a 6 speed manual tranny they only came with the 6.0l LS2 400 hp in the 06-07s

My father bought the cobra r back in 2000... No AC or radio.... Red with racing seats.... He sold it though .... He never wanted me to touch it.... I'm 46 now at the time I was 23... I rather wanted his 32 Ford hot rod...... Go figure.....

I get what you're saying and I agree, especially growing up there was a difference with muscle vs sports cars. But we wanted to include them since they are classic cars with big engines and modern versions are nothing like their classic counterparts.
That’s a gray area. Those cars weren’t “exotic” cars like they are in todays world with the new ford get design or the mid engine corvette that resembles a Lamborghini. If not exotic what would you consider them to be?
The Viper and the Corvette are considered American Muscle. Yes they're sports cars that don't fit the strict definition of a muscle car, but neither do the Dodge Magnum, Charger Crossfire, SRT 10 Ram 1500, Ford ST lines, Some Chevy SS models, etc. A muscle car back in the day never had four doors and was never a truck, but we saw many muscle machines back in the 60's and 70's that skirted the lines, like the El Camino and those wierd vans with truck beds.

The 2003-2004 SVT Mustang SVT Cobra “Terminator” was the best and still is.
