You can do internship in any field - choose basis interest. And regarding hobby, what matters is how much in-depth you know/pursue it. What are some transferable skills? E.g. passion/resilience/patience.

I wanted to ask you , is there any place for creativity in MBA in finance, In Management consulting or Corporate finance? Is it mandatory for a creative person to join marketing only? How can I justify that I can use my creativity if I do MBA in finance?
One more question 😅 , If you're good with numbers , as personally accountancy was my favourite subject and I liked number crunching also. Does they come in use , if I go for Marketing? How relevant are number crunching skills for marketing?
To answer your first question - creativity in terms of finding solutions to a problem are there in any field, having said that, finance and consulting roles are more analytical than creative. Think of SUITS, law couldn't have been imagined as a creative field per se, but the series is a classic example of using creativity to solve problems.

Hey Shweta. I know very little of Excel and PowerPoint. I was planning to take out time to learn both after my interviews, so that I get into college ready. Are these skills required for the interviews as well?
They'll certainly help, most interviewers have laptop with them and can ask you to perform some functions. If you don't know it all, it may not be worth learning everything, just practice via the free website.

Hello ma'am, this question is really coming in my way of CAT prep i.e I have 95% in 10th 74.77 in 12th and a gap year before starting my engineering. This question really bothers me that even if I score good in CAT will my profile come in the way of getting into a good IIM. Should I even go for it. (9.1 cgpa - currently in engineering 3rd year & OBC-NCL category). Please please please reply. This has been bothering me for so long and need some guidance. Thank you.
Usually, a so called successful manager is not seen to have paid that much attention to humanity or principles based on humanity. He focuses only on what's targeted. Why is it so? Is it because of the reason that :- managerial principles are so wisely, cleverly and cunningly defined and designed in such a way that - it shall in any circumstances focus only on what's trrgeted but not just on anything else?

Hi di, I’m a 3rd year student of Economics Honours in Delhi University. I took coaching from July to October and appeared in CAT 2022, but because of the a few problems like hectic course , university exams clashing with CAT and involvement in college societies I couldn’t devote full time to CAT. Now I am planning to appear again in 2023, should I take a gap period after my graduation in May? Will this gap affect my CV? Also, should I go for internships/online courses or will it divert my attention? I personally feel I am not that great a multitasker, but have heard that they really help in profile building. I want to aim for IIM-A,B,C but I am really confused about these! Please guide me!
That little a gap isn't a problem as such, so you can take it but have a good answer ready for why not a job? There is ample time till CAT'23, till July you should take up courses/internships and preapre for CAT simultaneously.
The same is the case with me. I have done 2 internships till my second year which did give me some experience,but I personally feel those were not quality internships. @Sweta di, can you please tell how not having quality work experience/internships affects summer internship shortlists/PI rounds of top b schools ?

Hello ma'am, this question is really coming in my way of CAT prep i.e I have 95% in 10th 74.77 in 12th and a gap year before starting my engineering. This question really bothers me that even if I score good in CAT will my profile come in the way of getting into a good IIM. Should I even go for it. (9.1 cgpa - currently in engineering 3rd year & OBC-NCL category). Please please please reply. This has been bothering me for so long and need some guidance. Thank you.

Hi di, I’m a 3rd year student of Economics Honours in Delhi University. I took coaching from July to October and appeared in CAT 2022, but because of the a few problems like hectic course , university exams clashing with CAT and involvement in college societies I couldn’t devote full time to CAT. Now I am planning to appear again in 2023, should I take a gap period after my graduation in May? Will this gap affect my CV? Also, should I go for internships/online courses or will it divert my attention? I personally feel I am not that great a multitasker, but have heard that they really help in profile building. I want to aim for IIM-A,B,C but I am really confused about these! Please guide me!
That little a gap isn't a problem as such, so you can take it but have a good answer ready for why not a job? There is ample time till CAT'23, till July you should take up courses/internships and preapre for CAT simultaneously.
The same is the case with me. I have done 2 internships till my second year which did give me some experience,but I personally feel those were not quality internships. @Sweta di, can you please tell how not having quality work experience/internships affects summer internship shortlists/PI rounds of top b schools ?
