- In this video I'm talking about 5 career tips for your first corporate job, whether Big 4 or not! From imposter syndrome to networking - I'm learning a lot from my first corporate job as a recent grad after university.

I have a LOT more tips coming... I had to split this video into 3! A lot of these things are learned from experience, from the language you use in emails, to networking, how to use your 'free time' and dealing with imposter syndrome. Understandably these are more applicable to larger firms, but the takeaways are applicable to every office-based job. I wish someone had told me these when I first joined - it's all advice I wish I had - so here I am with this video.

Kudos on getting a job :) I think this is a fear we all have. It’s a case of mindset and having boundaries at work. I’m definitely on my own journey of not letting my job define me and control my life!

I legit think there’s also an app or extension out there that autocorrects you when you use it 🙄 such a bad habit! Constantly correcting myself lol. Thank you my dear 🧡🧡🧡

Lovely video for a Jr like myself so thank you! I do think please is just basic etiquette and like you said it makes no difference in the response time of the reader. I would say it only to be polite because being assertive is important but mannerisms are important as well!

IMO this is where you try to start something by yourself. Try to get yourself out there, do something impactful, small or big it doesn’t matter but the point is to show initiative. Post on LinkedIn, optimize your page, you will grow and get noticed pretty quickly. Don’t stay passive. Change the mindset

Also good to note: tell don't ask. And if you have a deadline give them a deadline. Instead of please respond asap, say: advise by eob xx/xx/xxxx.
