- This is my rundown of all of the Ghostbusters uniforms I have ever owned. The newest, a Magnoli Clothiers Paranormal Jumpsuit, is featured in the last 10 minutes.

I have 3 Tru Spec GB 1 suits in various sizes, but my favorite is my GB 2 gray. I bought it big to make up for shrinkage during the dye process, that’s the one I wear most.
Very cool. Magnoli really looks like he took the ball and ran with it...a great jumpsuit especially with the GB1 ripstop fabric. I have a GB1 jumpsuit made by Gibson and Barnes with the ripstop fabric from years ago and absolutely love it though not sure if I'll ever get another but if I do it will definitely be with Magnoli. My suit is nowhere near as accurate as any of these. But it came with patches and elbow pads and a belt, and it was affordable.
I'm happy with it.
I may get a screen accurate suit one day.
But that's years down the road.

I personally have a tru spec one that fits perfectly and breathes really nice out in the terrible summer heat going on right now. Maybe my suit is just old and a bit faded but it fits in nicely with my fellow ghostbusters and their suits even though we all have different brands.
I think the issue with the magnoli patch may be due to it being a pre sized one which could be why they are only doing tailored paranormal suits now
I ordered a magnolis one ages ago as well! It's to be delivered tomorrow finally after numerous delays, as you stated. I ordered it with everything sewn on as well. Let's see if mine comes with the patch. I hope it does because my sewing is horrendous lol

@@DanThomasUK Got it today and everything seemed just fine on mine! I thought I had given an excess of wiggle room on the measurements and was concerned it was going to be too large, but it fits just fine. I actually wish it was more baggy in some places. But it still looks great.

I’m pretty happy with the Carter Industries Nomex, but I don’t dislike any of them.
I'm the guy who has the inside out suit, which was my 3rd version to be delivered incorrectly. How it works is the ripstop is more apparent on the ouside than the inside. If you look inside your suit you'll notice the ripstop pattern is hardly evident...
Overall I’m happy with my Magnoli suit. I have both the GB1 and GB2 charcoal jumpsuits. I immediately ordered the GB2 khaki suit when I got my first set of jumpsuits. I look forward to when that one arrives.
I’ve considered getting the darker GB2, any drawbacks to that one?
@@TheProtonPackIsNotAToy Nothing of the likes that have came up with the GB1. It does have slight variations in where the pocket placement is compared to the GB1 but I believe that’s accurate. Also appreciate the detail on how the zippers are different as well. I’m not much of a stickler on jumpsuit accuracy, so for me these are definitely my last suits. I really like the GB2 charcoal jumpsuit more in many ways than GB1. Can’t wait to see how the herringbone pattern of the GB2 looks.
did you ever get your GB2 khaki? I also ordered one and am still waiting would love to see photos if you have it. I love my GB1 and GB2 charcoal they came out perfectly.

I have a Rotho kaki suit, a Nomax kaki , and I'm planning a grey Nomax suit which will be a Franchise suit/ Real Ghostbusters inspired.
Magnolia makes the best IMO. I love mine, albeit though it’s a bit too long for me. Thankfully I like the tucked in look.
Oh, also, be sure to get it dry cleaned, don’t wash it. And try to avoid it getting wet. My name patch, the black dye slightly bled into the rip stop fabric.

There's no debate about the dark GB2 suit, it is 100% confirmed as a charcoal grey. Gibson & Barnes also did make the suits for GB2 only.

I know this video is a little old but one thing to note about tru-spec, is that due to their popularity for GB cosplayers theyre damn near impossible to find in the size you wear *and* in the long variant, so be advised of that when shopping
Yeah, Magnoli is based in NZ, but has sewing shops in Pakistan and possibly China. My 10th Doctor suit from Magnoli came from Pakistan. They make good stuff, not your typical cheapo Chinese sweat shop crap.
Now I gotta go out and see if I can get khaki ripstop material. I make Star Wars flight suits (Rebel pilots mostly), and I charge $200 for a custom sized suit.... I wonder if there would be a market for a US-made custom suit like that. Might have to make one to see how much of a pain it is :)
I am one of the unfortunate ones that received a problematic magnoli suit. After a 9 month wait it finally arrived with the wrong patches and it was absolutely sewn incorrectly. I also ordered a 44 and have a nomex in the same size that fits perfectly. Ok in the torso but at least a size if not 2 smaller in the legs. Magnoli would only say the suit was correct and wanted an additional $50 to replace. I agree with the video that buyer should beware. I was very disappointed with my experience and refuse to give them another cent. Especially with all the problems others are also experiencing
Magnoli is the best and has been in this game for like 30 years.
Thanks for the video, in the market for a flight suit and was looking at Magnoli but quality control issues and communication were prevalent problems I read from many reviews but when done right there flight suits are some of the nicest available. Could give any recommendations for providing them the right measurements for the flight suit?
I’d suggest finding a flight suit that fits you, take measurements of that suit, then send those measurements to Magnoli.
My magnoli should arrive tomorrow (hopefully) 8 months since I ordered! I kinda hope mine get the patch forgotten though as I now have a calgary patch to put on it

Can you clarify which style of Gibson & Barnes you have? I like that color the best but not sure if all of their khakis are the same shade.

I do not know, but I have seen them sell suits that people have returned for whatever reason and those are discounted.
On the magnoli, does the left sleeve not have the four pen slots on top of the pocket ?
I'm probably gonna end up getting one of these with their afterlife weathing to match the haslab pack, but im in a predicament,with the measurements should I give them exact measurements or add on to it for moving room ?
See if you can find a flight suit to try on. When you find one that fits to your liking, copy the measurements and send those. More room is always a good idea.
You're 6ft 3 and ordered a 44L from them? Just got my 3rd try of a gb2 khaki, turned out pretty good. Be interesting to delve onto the differences between gb1 and 2 suit designs. GB2 def look more MC Hammer in the crotch, plus the guys had put on some weight :P

I was curious if you could answer a question for me. I just got my Magnoli suit with no issues and love it. I was curious which of the other suits you cover in this video is the closest match in color? It looks like the Proper suit but I am not sure. Any help would be great!
Probably the Propper, but I no longer have it so I can’t say for sure. I wouldn’t say any of them were particularly close to what Magnoli offers in terms of color.

In case you missed it Magnoli dropped their stock sizes. Now you can only order a custom sized flightsuit. I'd guess they probably had too many problems with returns/exchanges when folks didn't order the right size.

That material will break in if you wash it...use cold water ..if you can't rip stop tends to break in as you wear it too
rewatching this video I just realized they put the innacurate velcro on your. you got the dark velcro instead of the light.
Could you please tell me how you painted your Real Ghostbuster firehouse in the background?
Just basic hobby paints and reference pictures of Hook & Ladder 8 in New York.
I ordered mine last March and when it came in October is was the wrong material. I should be getting my "remake" in the next couple of weeks. The material looks amazing on these, but the pockets look way to high in relation to the shoulders.
I had the opposite issue with Tru-Spec. I considered the pockets too low and wide. I actually detached and relocated them amd it looks better IMO.
How did the situation with Magnoli turn out? I bought boots from them and I like those a lot.
I’ve only got the one suit. They sent the patch I was missing, so in the end I was satisfied

At this point you should upgrade the suit with a Calgary patch. I wish I would have ordered mine sans patch.
I decided to go with what I had in hand.

The Magnoli suits have long wait time and are 2 or 3 times more expensive.
I don't like the way they placed your name patch at Magnoli. I have all 3 suits coming supposed to be here by January 6th. I noticed today that they have the Answer the Call suit for preorder
I just received my GB2 Magnoli Herringbone Suit. The suit overall is great, but they screwed up my name badge and sewed it way to low! It looks like they also used the wrong lettering for my name. Also the lettering in my name looks like it goes at an angle big to small... A waste of $225 if you ask me. I reached out to them and all they want to do is send me a new name badge… Won’t be doing business with them again and won’t be recommending them to anyone.
