    NASA should just go ahead and send SpaceX up for a rescue mission.

    In-flight movie for Starliner return is Marooned. Theme song is the Kingston Trio's "M.T.A. Song".

    That is ridiculous that the "test" is under development. Surely, these folks would have been wise enough to test for this scenario during development.

    • @Lora_Lynn
      @Lora_Lynn Před 8 dny

      It's not ridiculous, but people are. All issues are anticipated. It's the Boeing name. I will fly, I do not need a french plane to make me feel safer. A few years back it was the Dreamliner, holy f***, as I attach my seatbelt, I am going to die, something to do with lithium batteries. It was the best plane ride I have ever been on, Better than international flights. I don't care if I'm offered water as I board, Iceland. It was not a nectar that made me feel safer. I'll fly Boeing

    And Boeing got more money in the contract because they were "the proven and reliable" ones...

  • @fastwalker0
    @fastwalker0 Před 9 dny +5

    What a load of corporate baloney. $1.5 billion spent over 10 years and this is all they have to show? I'd be happy if Boeing showed which palms were greased to get this contract away from more deserving companies.
    On that note, send SpaceX to the rescue. If i was Elon and SpaceX, I'd send a rescue mission for FREE. The PR alone would be worth way more than the trip.

    This looks like a good time to try out 'in-space' repairs i.e. they could have built doors on the service module and had spare parts sent up way before it launched. I wonder if they have spare parts for the Dragon?

  • @dionysus2006

    Why don't they have a way to re-pressurise the helium tanks while docked ?

      @@SubTobLanK This instance isn't about exploration. There's no need to risk their lives because the Starliner is capable of returning on its own. If it makes it, cool. If it doesn't, 2 lives would have been lost for NOTHING!

    You know when things went south for Boeing? When they moved production to the south. These people still measure crap with their thumbs. How much money did you save? You are in the hole for billions and it just breaks my heart.
