- The A-20G is not a bomber, it identifies as a fighter. Today I'm feeling a little bit devious so we're going to be taking the Havoc to create havoc in War Thunder Air RB using this 'bomber' as a fighter. Needless to say, there were a lot of surprised enemies...

Just FYI, the best belts for the American 12.7mm (.50 cal) is the tracer belt. Sets fires like crazy.
True but APIT is late war ammo so not all the planes get them

WeBe, the first 250 A-20Gs produced had 4x 20mm cannon installed. After which they reverted back to 4-6x 50cals. Both the US and the Russian have A-20s with HMGs only.
I remember when this was fast in the horizontal after a dive. I would climb to max, dive on the enemy base, everyone would see my rainbow guns for a good 2 minutes before i fly through, drop my bombs, and then disappear off along the ground with a train of slow planes attempting revenge. 1000 kph all the way home. Climb and repeat.
That is just insane the amount of kills you got on the secund game whith the a-20g is out of this wolrd.

To your question about a a20 that had 20mm cannons there was a Russian a 20 that had 4 20mm shavak cannons in the nose and 4 in the bomb bay pointing down to hit ground targets

Well the A-20 got modified to be a night fighter until the P-61 came about, so this makes sense
Was just playing with this in sim battles, definitely a fun aircraft

The A-26 is probably my favorite of these, it's an A-20G but better in every way. It's really cool in Ground RB as people don't expect the _eight_ .50 cals on the nose
